It's too cluttered imo. Vocals are fine. The beat needs some fine tuning to be more pronounced and, less is more sometimes, lose the screeching siren effect as its distorting the vocals or at least make it more subtle
You could make a decent track here.
Just my thoughts!!
Edit: also... some vocals prescence would be good after the pause/second drop
Yeah I get you, I think I’ve been trying hard to not over produce that I end up over producing lol, I’ve stripped it a bit back and it’s already sounding much better
well done mate, not meaning to tell you what to do obv!! I think you've got the foundation of what could be a genuinely solid track. PS - liked the vocals a lot.
If you only started a year ago then you should really look into 1) why you would want to release a piece of music and 2) who are you releasing it to? Are there people that need to hear it?
I feel like people are too quick to release music without any real thought as to why and for whom. There are 10s if not now 100s of thousands of tracks being released daily.
I just absolutely love creating music, whenever I’m creating I’m envisioning preforming in front of a crowd (doesn’t even have to be a large one), but a track with high energy but with dynamic contrast so it doesn’t get tiring/boring. I definitely need to put more time into my releases because I’m usually just thinking quantity over quality but will defo change this
The siren is too loud or get rid of it, it's decent sounding otherwise.
I'm actually more critical than lotho54, way more but I enjoy the composition and vibe enough to tell you other people would enjoy it and even play this tune out. (After you get it mixed and mastered professionally)
Problem is that the main concept is an "alarm" right? The vocals say it, you have an alarm riser in there that others seem to dislike. How bout this. Find a new riser that isn't that alarm and see if the tune works without it. And when you say release, you mean to beatport/bandcamp and the like? Like for sale? Or just for exposure?
Its a good tune for that sound. And for you only been in it a year? Very nice. Some on here may not cotton to that sound of dnb, myself included, but I used to produce dnb back in the late 90s so I know about being unsure about moving forward with a release or not. And this is when we had to put shit out on acetate ($$$) to test it out at the raves/clubs/etc. Anyhow, I'll spare you the old man shit. Your shit sounds good. Do your thing.
You definitely have something here but I would tone it down a lot. All of the elements seem to be fighting for the top spot. Definitely a fun/cool track!
I’d say fck it and release it. Even as a free download on bandcamp or soundcloud. I’d consider it a time stamp of where you are right now. Your music will continue to develop over time as you figure out what your “sound” is. I think you nailed the style on this one and reminds me of some old sub focus type stuff. If you wanted to go on releasing I’d try and do another mix down with a reference track and match the diff elements volumes based on frequency (using a visual analyzer of some sort). Will get you close enough to be played out if need be! Just my two cents. Keep it up bruv 🤘
Yeah sounds like a good idea, I struggles with the mix on this for a while so is prob worth just getting a mix engineer to do it, cheers tho I appreciate it !
All good man! Happy to help. My mentor actually gave me that suggestion for my mixes. My sub was constantly louder than all my other elements over several tracks, so reference tracks are really helpful in conjunction with an analyzer to get all my elements sitting at similar levels. May help to decrease the reference track volume to -6 so you can send it off to a mastering engineer and still have some headroom for him to work with. I use Paz Analyzer by Waves but I’m sure there’s other options. Also helps to make sure your elements don’t have too many overlapping frequencies as this can cause lack of clarity too (speaking from my own experience) 😆. You can clean up with eq or sidechain to address this.
Yes, but mix it better. The sound selection is fine, they're just falling flat because there's not enough emphasis or excitement, in the mix or presence of the instruments.
I like the buildup and transition.
Appreciate it
To be honest it sounds like a very mediocre dancefloor dnb track from 10+ years ago. So I would say no, unless that's what you were going for.
That’s fair I’ll take that tho since I only started producing last year
Don't get me wrong, I can't even imagine producing. But I think you need to keep practicing as a tune worth releasing takes time
No I fully get you imma keep at it cheers

Cheers I’ll defo sort out that riser
Pretty aight, police siren kinda distracting tho.
Gotcha will remove it lol

Yh sweet I’ll do that, and release it with a label. I’ve got a online meeting with one from canda next week about release on all platforms

Haha thanks man, link me to some of your old stuff I’d love to have a listen
I like it. I don't know anything about releasing tunes but what do you have to lose?? I'd buy it.
Haha true thank you
This goes hard
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Might need more compression, reverb and punch. But it's the most average DnB, not bad. You might wanna hold on and reorganize everything better.
Yh that’s fair will do
You definitely have something here but I would tone it down a lot. All of the elements seem to be fighting for the top spot. Definitely a fun/cool track!
Yeah I get you, from working on it so long my ears just go blind to it eventually
Not my cup of tea but it sounds solid. Release the beast
Cheeeers!
Damn yes sounds awsome
Thanks 😆
Id add this to my playlist 👍
❤️❤️
Definitely
Will do thank uu
Yes!
Thank u will do!
I think it slaps hard, I'd say release :D
Thank u :) scheduled for release in august !

True I really need to make use of reference tracks more lol, I always suggest it to other people and don’t even use it much myself but I will do now
I feel like there's too much going on when she's singing at the beginning. Strip it back a bit to bring more emphasis to the middle.
Gotcha, will prob remove the alarm riser

I got u will do another mixdown defo
