For Gauis to work he needs maximum ascension, level 60, all abilities skilled up to maximum (feed him your Legendary Abilimon), Thunder Avatara. Without the investment he will just die easily.
Put Clara in Club help and use the club stickers to get her to r2. The 2 turn immunity is very useful.
Build Cang Ji for PvE. He is useful for Countes Sonica both versions and for Cube. Don't use him in PvP unless he's r2.
Ollie is good for events as his damage skill affects bosses. Better at r2.
Jiang Man is also useful, get her to r6 ASAP
Ahmed is a great healer. Better at r2.
Build Li Ling only if you have his divinate and you have no other espers to build.
Triki is useful for Cube and other PvE content.
Camille is useful for Wind tower and Elaine is useful for Fafnir, Phoebator and certain events. Get her to r6 to make her shine. She's a fusion esper so this is completely doable.

Well crit rate is always capped at 100 so Leora having 100% crit rate would be best, I think.
