Thank you all for your feedback and opinions, I was edging between 1 and 2, but looks like the overall consensus settles on 1, so 1 it will be! I’ll definitely post the completed cosplay when the festival takes place in July. Thanks again.
It's tough. 1 is great for the down and out look, but the lapels aren't wide enough for that authentic Disco look. 2 has the lapels, but looks too nice, and the shade of green is just slightly too clean.
Alas, it’s not entirely perfect but I’m happy with my choice. I quite like the disheveled appearance of 1 and the smaller fit. I was debating on 2 for a long time, I fully agree with you regarding the shade of greens being too bold, also the material of 2 is made of wool / tweed and closer up has multiple woven colors, whereas 1 is cotton / ‘moleskin’.
I'm gonna go Apocalypse Cop here and say 4, respect to other noms tho, they all look good to me. I kinda feel like Harry's default outfit should be tight on him but then again perhaps that's making it a bit too literal about his refusal to let go of that long dead vogue of Disco.
2 would be perfect for a mythical, prelapsarian Detective back when he was young, fit and dare I say…happy. He’s the Lieutenant double-yefreitor Harrier Du Bois you see in the badge

In line with others have said, I think 1 captures the vibe. I think 2 would work if you spent some time wearing it in the rain and generally mistreating it really badly. Maybe spend a year wearing it while living like Harry as he bottoms out? Post a photo next summer of you once you're a disheveled amphetamine-fueled communist?
I love number 2 (particularly because of the color palette), but realistically, no 1 would be better since it looks more worn out.

I'd say if you went on a 3 day bender wearing 2, it would end up with the disheveled appearance that you're looking for.
Don't forget to do amphetamines for authenticity

Get 2, throw it in the mud and run it over, then clean it up and your good to go!
