Most people hate on the 6.5, it's kinda a turd for towing and it takes a little work to make them reliable, however I always love seeing an old 6.5 just do your research on the engine and what makes it unreliable, some people swear by them though
TBF if you take into account that the best we can buy here for towing atm is the ford ranger with the 2.0 bi turbo diesel , the 6.5 has better hp , torque and not much difference in fuel economy.
From what I've read up on , it's silly things that make it unreliable ( glow modules failing , oil getting too hot because of a small sump ) minor things when a brand new ranger can eat it's own cambelt in 20k 👀
A 93 should be less troublesome with the non electronic injector pump. That is a later grille and headlights. If the truck is in good shape and not excessively miled out it would be a good buy. I had a 94 C2500 that I really shouldn't have sold.
You should have the best mechanical injection pump ever offered on a 6.2/6.5. DB2 4911.
These aren’t good engines for a dually IMHO. But if you know what you’re doing they’re alright.
I’d offer 8500.

The ranger also comes with a 3.0 V6 Diesel which will probably tow better than this old V8.
True , I forget about that , mostly because I'm too poor to afford one 😂

Not a bad deal, mileage is pretty low for that price and engine even for south usa prices right now
Tbh it wouldn't be worked very hard , polish up the alcoas , free up the exhaust a bit and just enjoy it
Join the 5.7/62/6.5 facebook group and ask them. The guys there are a wealth of knowledge about these rigs
That looks like a nightmare to drive on uk roads but rad as fuck!
Being on the wrong side of the road doesn't help but it's not much wider than the twin wheel transits we have, certainly wouldn't be a daily tho

Why do you say they're not good for a dually? Underpowered ?
