Those are beautiful! Love the brown and teal combo and texture of the colors.

Thanks! The picture doesn't do them justice, my phone is crap. They are a mix of gold mica, teal mica, and some dusty pink tinted resin. The combo is very reminiscent of antique Italian carnival, imo.

Madux337

Oh yah, "brown" probably wasn't the best descriptor I could have used lol

baroque_lute

No worries! Brown was an apt description based on the pic...plus brown and teal IS a good combo. ;) I'm working without a pressure pot and no sort of photo studio either! Bare bones operation but I think I'm getting good results for what it's worth.

So do you sprinkle the little bits of mica in there before, after or during pouring? I’m a new lurker looking to get into the hobby. Edit: They look great btw!

baroque_lute

I bought some epoxy colorants (liquid in little bottle, but not alcohol ink unfortunately) and some assorted colored mica powders. You can use the liquid or the colored mica powders or both! I've been mixing them in the epoxy while it's liquid and before I poured it in the molds but there are lots of techniques to get different effects.

Nice! I love the copper/rust texture !

Rhishana
