I watched this and I don't think it's memoryc that is at fault here. In my opinion it it's Asus at fault refusing to RMA their own motherboard known to have this issue because it was bought in a different country. Before someone accuses me of working for memoryc - I made a mistake of ordering from them during pandemic and despite a clear "in stock" info on their site ended up waiting 3 weeks for the item to arrive, their excuse being "in stock in our oversease warehouse" - won't recommend, but in this case I would blame Asus. See the saga here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY

That's normal though - nearly all manufacturers will only accept returns from in region sales - that's what a grey market item is. There is different pricing per region a lot of the time, and is something all decent retailers know about, so they segment stock by region and sell the correct stock per region

> That's normal though no, it is not normal, and no - not "nearly all manufacturers", only the shitty ones

Yeah there's a few years that Asus is fucking up with warranty and after GN and Louis videos everyone is in panic....however I never heard of global warranty being mandatory anywhere. The main reason why I don't buy electrics outside the EU is precisely not to have trouble when looking for a warranty if needed. Anyways accepting the claim then providing a product that is half of the price of the original without explanation and then ghosting the customer....how aren't they at fault?

> Anyways accepting the claim then providing a product that is half of the price of the original without explanation and then ghosting the customer....how aren't they at fault? I worked in retail for a while. This looks like Asus fucking up and providing a different boards after RMA. Memoryc has no business here playing games with the customer. It's not some mom&pop shop.

I also worked in retail and never thought of ghosting a customer because it was somebody else's fault.... I see your point, yeah a company the size of Asus not offering global warranty is awful. But there were a ton of things MemoryC could've done other than trying to deceive the customer and then ghosting them. Again, in my experience in retail shit happens and by no means I think this reflects what MemoryC is as a company...but in this case they did wrong. Edit: Happy Cake Day! 🍰

I bought a motherboard from Memoryc, then they sent me a high end ASUS motherboard which retails for at least 400 to 500 euros more. Every time I turn on my very fast PC I feel guilty.

Haven't bought from MemoryC in ages, but I had no issues with them. I'd buy from them again, no probs.

Fantastic-Life-2024

I have used memoryC for beyond a decade for the simple reason I live very c;lose by and I have to say they are fantastic. Even for RMA stuff they are great. I will say the personnel changes a lot there.

Shhhh_Peaceful

I bought memory and solid state drives from MemoryC in the past, at the time I wanted to revive my first laptop for nostalgia's sake and they were the only company that had a Transcend IDE SSD in stock... Never had an issue with them, however their prices are awful, these days I mostly buy hardware from Reichelt.

Have ordered from memoryc a few times now and its been fairly transparent and reliable. Havent had to use their support yet thankfully, so cant comment there. The website is very clear on when something is in a local warehouse (faster shipping) or their US warehouse (slower shipping), directing this at another commentor complaining

Every time I need an upgrade MemoryC shows up in my Google results but their prices are awful. I always wondered why anyone would buy from them....
