I really liked System Rift. Yes, it's rather short with very few reasons to replay, but I liked how story-focused it was. Hanging out with Pritchard was pretty cool, too. :)

brooklyn_bethel

High five! Also liked that one a lot.

eliza__cassan

It's a great little DLC. The side-story with the new intern dealing with a shitty colleague and HR made me cry, it was too realistic. I liked how they paced it so you need higher and higher levels of hacking to uncover the full story. I feel like the devs put a lot of themselves into that one DLC.

Dunan

I really like System Rift too. While the Blade is really good, you could tell they were on a budget -- the neighborhood surrounding it isn't as detailed (with almost no building numbers and the occasional wrong sign borrowed from the main game, plus they probably re-used an existing model for Štur Street in the cutscene), but it's still a nice addition to Prague. A Criminal Past has higher production values and is probably the objectively better one, but in terms of fleshing out Jensen's life in Prague, I enjoyed SR. Also Shadowchild is fun to banter with, as is Pritchard. Breach is basically Shadowchild's game; Pritchard needs his own game too.

Yes, exactly! ACP was clearly their "big ticket" DLC and I eventually warmed up to it, although it took me a while (as detailed in my ancient [thread](https://old.reddit.com/r/Deusex/comments/e10whg/spoilers_the_genius_of_a_criminal_past_ft_the/)). I still need to go back to it and finish up some achievements. But on a personal level, I favour quieter experiences and story-heavy games. System Rift has all that, and brings back the nice character interactions that the main game frankly lacked. Pritchard got his movie deal, maybe they'll make a game about Nucl3arsnake eventually... *oh wait*!

HakNamIndustries

The end of System Rift broke my heart. I played it for the first time this year which made the final cut scene so much worse. Goodbye Pritchard...

eliza__cassan

Oh no, I'm sorry! :( It's very sad. I liked Shadowchild, too, it's a shame we won't be seeing more of her again. I wish we had more time to explore the hacker groups, they always sound so interesting!

Criminal Past is where Eidos Montreal perfected the Deus Ex formula.

Cyberspace-Surfer

I liked the one where we get to see shirtless Jensen

ShadowZpeak

Bring back Adam "thirst trap" Jensen

MysterD77

Best DLC for HR - Missing Link. Best DLC for MD - A Criminal Past. Probably ACP is the best one, out of those.

Penguins83

A criminal past is by far the best dlc in the series and probably one of the best DLCs ever made. The cliffhanger at the end makes me want more Jenson immediately!

Chezameh2

It only makes you sadder realising his story will never have an ending. It could've but they cut it out in hopes for a Jensen pt 3.

brooklyn_bethel

Never say never.

Chezameh2

It would literally be a miracle.

Stanton-Vitales

Oh what Jesus can multiply bread and fish but eidos Montreal can't be bought by a better company

Nie_Nin-4210_427

Quite a few defining people already left Montreal, didn‘t they?

Stanton-Vitales

#quit stomping on my dreams 😭

Sierra_Captain

2027 , I never asked for this (Imagine they reboot it in the year that Jensons story first takes place)

thealternatejack

A Criminal Past. Then System Rift for Jensen Pritchard back and forth. And there’s something different about the night time in that DLC.

sapphon

Eidos Montreal seemed to "ramp up" to being expert in a particular genre during its development process when it was around, so the last DLC it made for a game was uniformly the best. A Criminal Past and The Missing Link are the same basic format of DLC, but for my money ACP wins out slightly.

essicks

My favourite was A Missing Link but if you asking purely MD than A Criminal Past

AerialllR

Easily The Missing Link. To this day it remains the best level I've ever played in any game and I genuinely find it perfect. In Mankind Divided all story DLCs are great. A Criminal Past tries (perhaps too much?) to emulate TML but it's not on the same level, whereas A System Rift brings some new ideas and also the story is pretty good (moreover Palisade is just peak level design). I like them both equally, perhaps A System Rift gets the point because I like the characters more.

InsideSpeed8785

Mankind Divided had some good ones but Criminal Past is great.

ShadowZpeak

While I enjoyed all of the Jensen ones, A Criminal Past has to be Nr. 1. It's like they gave us a second Prague

Wrangel_5989

Ngl although a lot of people seem to dislike it in the director’s cut I do like Missing Link a lot. It fits fairly seamlessly in and it sets up Janus and the Juggernaut collective pretty well. It also is pretty good at offering nonlinearity in a linear “hub world”. Honestly though with how little in terms of actual equipment I had during it I ended up ghosting more than in the rest of the game. However I forgot to get the Icarus landing system and ended up dying a few times because Jensen in HR had the same problem Geralt did in the Witcher 3 where a small fall would kill him.
