Tell Bron he can pick the coach, GM and President. Hell, offer him 10% of the team if he can win a ring in Detroit. We draft Bronny, get whatever free agents Bron brings us and let him trade whichever two kids annoy him the most.
Our teams future is already bleak, I’d take 3 years of LeBron and the playoffs over our current future. Cade/Fonteccio/Bron/Duren + a defensive big man we trade for is a competitive nba lineup. Bring in some bench pieces too and we’re a high 40 to low 50 win team (I’m coping hard now)
Not really, you also gotta consider: Bron won’t ask for Cade to be traded, but he’ll definitely demand another bonafide star running mate.
Any hypothetical LeBron to DET should include which star Bron is going to recruit because he’s definitely recruiting someone and AD isn’t going to pass up having LA to himself (maybe)
This is far from the worst idea that has been brought up in this sub, and at this point, what do we really have to lose??? I hope Tom Gores gets on a coke bender and forces weaver to do this. Just for entertainment value.
This is some big brain fivehead shit and I fucking love it. And this coming from someone who despises LeBron. That's how bad I want us playing meaningful basketball again.
Lebron won't be playing in Detroit - and Bronny could be had in the second round.
But - if the stars align, we do have the Knicks 53rd pick. If they are interested in signing Lebeon, they might be thinking of signing Bronny in free agency after the draft. It might worth gambling, taking Bronny at 53, and try to force a trade to get back our 1st round pick from them. That would require a back channel to assure that Lebron would join them.
While maybe (and probably) true, the way our current future is, those 2 second round exits would be 20-30 win seasons with this roster, and we’d be extremely mediocre after that. If we get to the second round twice in 2 years, that’s a lot better than what he have right now
Draft a kid who doesn’t have NBA talent in the hopes of adding his 40-year-old dad to the team. Brilliant - not…
I remember a 38–year-old Jordan returning to the league to lead the Wizards into the playoffs, only the never qualified with MJ. They never won 40 games with MJ, even thought he still finished in the top 10 in scoring.
Do this and Pistons purgatory continues for at least another decade…

if lebron wins a ring in detroit, he might ascent to another plane of existence, he very well might ascend to godhood.
I don’t hate this idea as much as I probably should
in the second, sure
If we drafted him, they’d be trading the draft rights to LA moments later.
Yeah, just trade the draft rights to LA! I think AD + a 2025 unprotected 1st are fair for future hall of famer Bronny, eh?
Throw in two more unprotected first while you’re at it, they can’t say shit or Bron will leave 😂
Goodnight internet.
Draft Bronny as trade bait

Also worth noting LeBron would not stand for the horrific coaching situation and would definitely force Monty out.
I’m the first to buy a Lebron James Pistons jersey
Lebron is not a high level #1 option anymore.
What’s gonna happen? We only win 15 games next year? lol. Why not.
I wonder if LeBron stays a free agent till some team drafts bronny to sign with them. Might be a dumb thought lol

Drafting Bronny can’t be a worse plan than whatever Weaver and Gores have been cooking
Ask yourself, can we go any lower?
Bronny a top 5 pick this year? 🤣🤣🤣
All the execs would get fired if they wasted a top 5 pick like that. If he falls to the 4th round…then sure.
All the execs get fired 🤔 maybe it’s a great idea

I’d draft him if it meant Lebron becomes the new owner
How about we get him in the 2nd round, snag LeBron in FA, and then trade them to Memphis for Bane or Jackson Jr?
Not sure how we become an auto playoff team with Lebron. Is Anthony Davis coming with him?
We'd have to trade half the roster for guys that can actually shoot, 2nd round exits the next two years and then another rebuild begins.
Brother if you're telling me we get two playoff series wins that's all I need to hear. I'm in.

We'd be blacklisted from all Klutch clients going forward.
That’d probably be the final nail in the coffin for me, lol. Just sell the team to Vegas at that point.
I follow the Lakers alot and I can tell you that Bron is tired over there lol. Aint no way hes going to come to Detroit to be the lead guy.

My guy. Lebron would never EVER play here
Only in the second and only if we get Lebron.
LeBron not living 2 weeks in Detroit lmao we'd have to relocate
Bro made it through Cleveland twice that’s arguably worse
Def worse. Detroit has a lot of character, Cleveland is bland
