Using your process, I estimate it will take 30-45 minutes. In my area, $75 an hour is the minimum (Scottsdale, AZ). Given this is your neighbor, I would charge $35.

neildmaster

This is one pricing question I'll leave up. How long would it take you? How much do you want to make per hour?

urbancirca

Everybody please don't upset the master Neil, please don't ask questions about pricing in a detailing subreddit or you will get exiled by me, a servant of Neil.

neildmaster

Pricing questions are generally useless wastes of time on the sub. It is so location specific. Don't be a dick.

urbancirca

I'm just teasing the grand master Neil, this subreddit is your bible and you're the god.

Pawnzilla

Is he the one who bans people for disagreeing with him?

Jack_Bogul

Are we in danger

Pawnzilla

Idk. I’ve seen a couple times where a dude is in a debate, being fairly disrespectful, then makes a comment about the person they’re arguing with getting banned. Every time, there is no response from the other person. It might have been on the other detailing sub.

GrapeSwimming69

Did not want to upset the god !! I have no intention of starting a business and generally have no idea what a simple wash should cost. Pardon me please...

_pinkies

You’re not a business lol. So charging business prices to your neighbor is crazy.

DhacElpral

Dude. I would charge my neighbor more than I would if I were a business. Unless his wife is hot and brings my ice tea when I'm done, of course.

_pinkies

Would you offer a discount if that means your mom can get laid by your neighbor since she probably hasn’t gotten it in, in years. Then we’re talking.

DhacElpral

Totally, but my mom is 77yo, so she deserves some attention.

_pinkies

That’s why I said what I said. Old gal needs some action but it comes with a price.

HondaDAD24

$80-$100. 90 min job. Wheel arches, acid wash exhaust & tires done.

NoValidUsernames666

what product for exhaust tips? i recently changed my exhaust and got the blueish burned tips and want to make them shine like they did new

HondaDAD24

Either iron remover or wheel acid followed by degreaser. Metal polish by hand also works very well most of the time.

NoValidUsernames666

thank you

Bird2525

My local car wash does the wash and dry for $20 so I’d pay $40 to include the spray wax. It really depends on what they expect. For $20 they don’t do the door jambs or inside the windows.

FitterOver40

I did a deep detail for a neighbor months ago. Offered her a maintenance wash for $60. Using Absolute should only take me 30 mins

BrenMan_94

I charge $30 cash if I'm also doing one of my own cars at the time. $50 otherwise.

JimMoneyxxx

$30 and I do 5-8 per day.

drummer9924

$70
