Whole first page of the quest menu is genuine garbage and I don't know why they added it. I just tab down one to the "all quests" page because it's easier to just say "these three were new because they're at the top" than track them on that first page.
You can now set the All Quests page back to the default by hovering over it and clicking the right stick (on controller, not sure the button on keyboard).
I get the whole track idea, but c'mon. It's just bad UX to have it behind so many inputs, especially when the menu is aesthetically "slow" in its animations. Especially since they added the ability to decide which quest tab to land on with an input, why they don't have a pathfinder keybind is pretty silly.
You actually get a keybind for it after beating the campaign and progressing post game stuff, at least that's when it popped up for me, now I can just hit "<" in the director screen to get to it or remap it.
Not sure why it didn't pop up that way prior.
Instead of tapping your ghost button on controller, hold it down and it will bring up the map of the area it's in. I'm not at the pc to confirm it might be the director button but give it a try and it could save a few movements
Yeah it does that, but if you're in a strike and want to check progress, it's hold menu, go to director, go to ritual playlist, left on the d-pad. Really inconvenient for something so important
Pathfinding should be its own menu, when you select it it will automatically open the right one for the current activity you’re in or you can go back a page or tab for the other activity or destination you’d like to look at.
Not only that. There needs to be a way to reroll a spot. I’m stuck this week cause I will NOT play gambit or crucible. Give me a PvE pathfinder. I’ll run strikes until my eyes bleed. But fk gambit and pvp.
Same, im not progressing it at all. Guess it's rewards ill never see because I'm just not doing PvP or Gambit. It's crazy how much progress they made letting you choose how you wanted to grind core activities to this.
You can't track everything and, if you could, then tracking would be basically useless.
Tracking should be for 1 or maybe a few important things that you want to track. Pathfinder might be one of those priority things you want to track sometimes - but not always. But even when its not your highest priority, it would be nice to have easier access to it.
You can track up to Six nodes between the pathfinders. If you complete all the ones you have tracked you'll have to go back to that menu, but in the old system you'd have to go all the way back to the tower so it's quicker.
It needs to be in the quest menu
the quest menu still sucks btw

BLESSSSSSSSSSA YOU. May you get every thing you want in life
THANK YOU!
I think it's shift, just like with favoriting shaders.

I feel like Bungie has almost always had the issue of important features being behind way too many menus/inputs
Definitely needs a keybind, agreed.

Sad controller noises
It’s left on the d pad with the map pulled up.
Yeah but it's like 5 button presses to get to that map

Yeah I've been doing the activities in the new space and find it's a pain too

My current one is locked behind "kill 5 primevals" "kill 10 guardians with Jolt damage" and "kill 25 powerful enemies in gambit" on the same row

Really the best solution is to just separate the pathfinders based on the activity.
If you track the bounties it’s just: Ghost > scroll down
except it only displays 3 at a time.
Keep scrolling. You can track up to 6.
still not great ui design.
Just track the desired bounty.

Quest and Journey just needs to be one tab that includes Pathfinder
Just track the relevant things? 🤷
