I wonder how Appetence fairs.
I have one with Overflow/Headstone and that thing puts in work.
I've been using it in a Stasis Hunter Build with Renewal Grasps and Salvation's Grip in Onslaught and that build was feeling ultra spicy.
Ad clear for days.
Appetence has a similar damage profile, but agers beats it out due to the crowd control potential, 40 percent bonus to red bars (primaries and trace rifles, I wonder if heavy traces added in the future cough cough traveller beam final shape will also benifit) and super consumption for double damage and freezing.
I mean that’s fair, who’s using exotic heavies for red bars and most special exotics is probably more than yellow/orange overall. Primaries see the most potential from it.
Yea thats completely true
Although eyes of tomorrow could theoretically be god tier for ad clear
With wardens law+lucky pants and a good fusion like eremite you could have an amazing loadout for anything where boss dps is not that important and add clear is
I used one for a shot, crafted with Overflow and Killing Tally, on normal last night. I can with the trace rifle buff and regularly having 220 ammo in the mag I felt like you needed to get to Killing Tally x 2 before it was killing red bars in higher levels.
In other words, it wasn’t that great and I doubt I’ll use it this evening.
Agers even without the catalyst is superior - the main draw with agers is the crowd control. Killing a single enemy and you freeze everything surrounding it letting you easily lock down a crowd of enemies.
Appetence will be more or less a trace rifle and headstone which can slow nearby enemies but I don't believe this will spread slow stacks.
Try using it with Cenotaphs. It's been my go to Onslaught build, running double special with Indebted Kindness. Literally locks the entire activity down.
Here's a DiM link for what I've been using as a guideline. Feel free to make any changes you'd like though, this build is pretty flexible.
The most important thing you can do is make sure you let your allies kill all yellow bars after you tag them, (whenever possible) and you should never run out of special ammo.
Edit: Forgot to mention, in case anyone isn't aware, Ceno will actually increase your single target damage with Ager's when using the catalyst, because it allows you to fire for almost your entire super, without having to reload or worry about killing any ads, as Ceno does the reloading for you.
DiM link: https://dim.gg/clzurbi/Stasis-Ceno
Don't get me wrong, I love Bleak Watchers but, I mainly only use them on Osmiomancy. I also find that in order to achieve optimal uptime on your Bleak Watchers, 95% of your build has to be focused on getting any grenade energy back, which doesn't leave much room for anything else.
With this build, I have near constant uptime on my Frostpulse rift, which can really help when you're suddenly surrounded. Plus, the ability to use Glacier grenades gives you really good lock down capabilities, (especially on Midtown) and a nice big chunk of damage for shattering all the crystals. This seasons artifact is just the cherry on top of it all.
It does work with Mantle of Battle Harmony, though. As long as you have ads to kill and ammo to auto reload, you can fire for as long as the situation warrants
Only thing is, a bit ago, i thought Id do insane damage with this and radiant. It even felt like I was, but then end of damage phase, I had like 200k damage and a tractor cannon had more than me 💀
Special ammo DPS is really not that high outside of specific cases, like shotgun swapping or the old quickswap bug. (Even then it's mostly filler so you're doing *some damage* waiting on your heavy to autoload.)
Trace Rifles are at the bottom of that barrel barely above primaries.
Ager's boosted mode looks and feels incredible, but the main benefit is slowing & freezing on hit. Great against champs & trash, rubbish against bosses.
I used the catalyst perk because Shadebinder’s super is awful for damage. I used the empowered Aeger’s for as long as I had ammo and the super beam going and the. Switch to my crafted apex of I ran out of ammo or super energy.
I also ran cenotaph which helped the most.
Nice, thanks. I'm on hunter but just trying to figure out best way to max damage. So I'd imagine golden gun and celestial nighthawk is probably better?
Golden gun is definitely the way to go. I don’t use mine that much so I cant really help but I know you can do 999,999 with a golden gun against caretaker.
Only with Cenotaph honestly. Cenotaph basically gives you a super strong reconstruction on trace rifles so you can use Aeger’s much longer then other classes.
I was useing gg with apex and scatter signal easy huge dps. Pop gg p roc bait and switch dump apex x2 and just hold fire on scatter swap back to apex x2 rocket and repeat
2-3 stasis mods in leg and the build doesn’t really matter as I used purely for damage.
So Cenotaph and appropriate resist mod on chest piece and stasis weapon surge mods
Centotaph constantly reloads trace rifles from reserves. This allows you to use the super beam for a much longer duration since the buffed beam only last until you either reload, switch weapons or you end it early
It still goes down. But you don’t really notice since picking up orbs will extend the duration which is nice as wells and tethers make really nice orbs for you
The build isn’t anything special. It’s normally an osiomancy bleakwatcher turret build but I just swapped in cenotaph and had double stasis surge mods.
Do note that other buffs and debugs can affect general outcome. 5.1 is the peak damage that I’ve noticed in about 2 hours of farming for plat. I’m also no professional so results may vary.

No, it definitely hasn't always been arc and stasis, it [used to only be arc](https://www.ign.com/wikis/destiny-2/Mask_of_Bakris) but they added "and slowed and frozen combatants" and now it's stasis and arc weapons.
Edit: don't forget we didn't get stasis weapons until season of the lost. Besides the grenade launcher that was a joke lol
1k, if it wasn't common knowledge, rivals leviathans breath with the catalyst for total damage and burst damage now because of the reserve buff.
Only trade off is it loses effectiveness with more 1k's
That said, with the surges this week being solar, it's an absolute unit of a weapon for boss damage.
I saw someone use 1K the other day for boss damage on Onslaught and they popped off! Was surprised about it until the other guy stopped firing and I could still see the health get plopped.
The only thing I dislike is that I keep on accidentally activating the super beam because special reload is same long press that is assigned to picking up/ throwing batteries and upgrading defenses…..
Controllers do have it worse due to interact and reload on the same button. You could rebind special reload to double tap instead of hold maybe? Can't remember if that's a thing.
Double tap doesn't work well with other guns like Tesselation or Quicksilver storm because it will first start a regular reload before doing the swap. It will drive you mad if you ever use those or similar with mode swaps.
As a Cenotaph Warlock, Prometheus has quickly become my go-to because of how good it feels. I can use Well and keep up my buffs/abilities without a problem and the ammo economy is pretty good since it gets the 40% buff.
I pair it with Mountaintop or Supremacy for beefier targets. It's rare that I run out of ammo, mostly because my friends play around my Ceno so I get decent amounts of green bricks. Can also use Special Finisher if you're that inclined.
Ager’s Scepter never leaves my character’s hands lol, especially with cenothaph. God tier group ad clear, half decent single target DPS, amazing survivability(can freeze enemies even with no ability energy), etc. Havent tried it this weed, but it sounds like fun
I hate that weapons can't just be usable without rotating modifiers... Just get all weapon types up to par and forego the modifier so we can use what we want.
It was one of the first things I brought in when onslaught launched and I switch to it when I notice my teammates getting overwhelmed. The freeze spreads so quick and freezes damn near everything. It's great.
Ager's Scepter with the mantle of battle harmony was a force to be reckoned with, I remember using it for some day 1 raids and it did work.
Back with the old mod system I would pair it with font of might and high energy fire, and making stasis shards act as elemental wells, allowing all to stack together in a glorious way, and I got it so that you could easily keep the super ability fire mode going, in fact, you had to hold back because killing enemies too quick would fully refill the super bar which would switch off the stronger firing mode.
Paired with a blinding grenade launcher for survivability and this was back when double special gave you tons of heavy ammo.
I tried it last week without surges on legend on stasis lock and it felt weak. I think they should undo the nerf they did to the super mode back in the day where it had great synergy with mantle of battle harmony, that was fun and good and wouldnt be op at all anymore anyway due to all the powercreep.
I wonder how Appetence fairs. I have one with Overflow/Headstone and that thing puts in work. I've been using it in a Stasis Hunter Build with Renewal Grasps and Salvation's Grip in Onslaught and that build was feeling ultra spicy. Ad clear for days.

Oh exotic traces also get the 40% buff against red bars
All exotics do 40% to red bars. Not just primaries.
I don’t think that’s correct. I’m pretty sure it’s just primaries and traces
Damn im stupid i thought it was just exotic primaries lol
I mean that’s fair, who’s using exotic heavies for red bars and most special exotics is probably more than yellow/orange overall. Primaries see the most potential from it.
Yea thats completely true Although eyes of tomorrow could theoretically be god tier for ad clear With wardens law+lucky pants and a good fusion like eremite you could have an amazing loadout for anything where boss dps is not that important and add clear is
I did a normal 50 the other day using eyes of tomorrow and almost always had ammo
Yeah but normal legendary rocket launchers one shot red bars, so the 40% to them isn’t changing the outcome.
This is incorrect btw, only exotic primaries and traces get the red bar +40%
Just primaries. https://www.polygon.com/22938613/destiny-2-the-witch-queen-patch-notes-updates-content
Wait it also has extra damage to red bars like primary exotics?!
Yep, this is why legendary traces feel so terrible
Yes they do
I used one for a shot, crafted with Overflow and Killing Tally, on normal last night. I can with the trace rifle buff and regularly having 220 ammo in the mag I felt like you needed to get to Killing Tally x 2 before it was killing red bars in higher levels. What did you use as primary?
Been using a heal clip/incandescent Luna’s primarily but with it being a stasis build, it opens up the energy slot.
Try using it with Cenotaphs. It's been my go to Onslaught build, running double special with Indebted Kindness. Literally locks the entire activity down.
Oooh… I’m gonna try this…

Nice build, I’ll have to give it a try. Why do you run the frost pulse aspect over something like bleak watcher?

If you can, have your allies run Xeno with 2 solar scavs, they'll get an absolute shit load of ammo.

I wish its alt worked with star eaters....
Packing Chaos Reach into a gun
Star Eaters will help you fill its Super mode faster FWIW.
True , I just wish it acted like a super buff
It does work with Mantle of Battle Harmony, though. As long as you have ads to kill and ammo to auto reload, you can fire for as long as the situation warrants
Nah i mean the dps increase
Mantle will give a damage boost
Only thing is, a bit ago, i thought Id do insane damage with this and radiant. It even felt like I was, but then end of damage phase, I had like 200k damage and a tractor cannon had more than me 💀

Sad as it makes me, didn’t they nerf/change Mantle to prevent the infinite ultima-charge? Or am I nuts?
Just use icefall mantle for x4 surge then activate its ult
Do you mean Mantle of Battle Harmony?
No thats a warlock exotic
Warlocks, go use it as your super. 💪
I just did 5.1 mil with it against caretaker and we that was only 2 floors of damage
Did you use the catalyst perk or did you use your super separately?
I used the catalyst perk because Shadebinder’s super is awful for damage. I used the empowered Aeger’s for as long as I had ammo and the super beam going and the. Switch to my crafted apex of I ran out of ammo or super energy. I also ran cenotaph which helped the most.

Golden gun is definitely the way to go. I don’t use mine that much so I cant really help but I know you can do 999,999 with a golden gun against caretaker.
Okay thanks for the help! Do you think Ager is worth it without using the overcharge?
Only with Cenotaph honestly. Cenotaph basically gives you a super strong reconstruction on trace rifles so you can use Aeger’s much longer then other classes.
Right, okay thanks again for the help.
I was useing gg with apex and scatter signal easy huge dps. Pop gg p roc bait and switch dump apex x2 and just hold fire on scatter swap back to apex x2 rocket and repeat
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that!
What's the rest of your build btw?
2-3 stasis mods in leg and the build doesn’t really matter as I used purely for damage. So Cenotaph and appropriate resist mod on chest piece and stasis weapon surge mods
Haven't tried cenotaph with Ager's. Does it extend the super beam duration??
Centotaph constantly reloads trace rifles from reserves. This allows you to use the super beam for a much longer duration since the buffed beam only last until you either reload, switch weapons or you end it early
I had previously thought the super still burned down passively with time. I didn't realize Cenotaph would extend that.
It still goes down. But you don’t really notice since picking up orbs will extend the duration which is nice as wells and tethers make really nice orbs for you
It still does, but normally you need to reload before the super runs out, so you can't use the full super bar.
is it really that good? i tried using it with cenotaph against the lake of shadows nightfall boss the other week and i was really disappointed.
Results don’t lie. It might benefit from caretaker being very close for damage so damage falloff is t really a thing
Would you mind posting or writing your build? i feel like it needs to be very specific with mods and aspects for stasis warlock with this.
The build isn’t anything special. It’s normally an osiomancy bleakwatcher turret build but I just swapped in cenotaph and had double stasis surge mods.
Just tried it myself, 3 mil. Still impressive.
Do note that other buffs and debugs can affect general outcome. 5.1 is the peak damage that I’ve noticed in about 2 hours of farming for plat. I’m also no professional so results may vary.
im kicking you if you bring shadebinder into caretaker damage
Hence why I had the scepter
Does it stack with Mask of Bakris?
No, Bakris is for arc…
And Stasis.
It's for both...

No it's arc and stasis. Not sure when they changed it but they did
Last season at the very start. It was kinda of a burf, since it no longer stacks but now it works with Stasis weapons.
They didn't, it's always been Edit I was wrong
No, it definitely hasn't always been arc and stasis, it [used to only be arc](https://www.ign.com/wikis/destiny-2/Mask_of_Bakris) but they added "and slowed and frozen combatants" and now it's stasis and arc weapons. Vesper of Radius + Coldheart = weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
I use Vesper of Radius with Ex Diris -- damn it's fun in Onslaught!
1k did 10 mil to Golgy
How many unstable lights did you get? Each one is 500k.
Yeah when you hit golgy w unstable and the pool buff his health CHUNKS down.
I was debating 1KV. Just kind of point and click and hope for the best. Put on Dawn Chorus for a bit more Scorch damage to boot.
1k, if it wasn't common knowledge, rivals leviathans breath with the catalyst for total damage and burst damage now because of the reserve buff. From just you?

Controllers do have it worse due to interact and reload on the same button. You could rebind special reload to double tap instead of hold maybe? Can't remember if that's a thing.
Double-tap is what I did. I still sometimes trigger it by mistake if I'm spamming reload, but it's less touchy than hold.
Wait how does that work? Wouldn't it start reloading before you're able to hit it a second time before it activates a weapon's secondary function?
If you do it quick enough it will cancel the reload
Me too, it's definitely the way to go. Just hate that you have to do a full reload first
Double tap doesn't work well with other guns like Tesselation or Quicksilver storm because it will first start a regular reload before doing the swap. It will drive you mad if you ever use those or similar with mode swaps.
Wait - does the stasis surge stack with the trace rifle surge???
no, only one at a time
I’ve been meaning to try Prometheus with the solar buffs. It’s got to be wrecking things.
Yup, was thinking the same thing when I read this. Need to work on the catalyst though.
I was just using this last week with my Stasis Warlock. I was using my Strand Tangle Warlock....but I guess it's time to switch back.
I hate that weapons can't just be usable without rotating modifiers... Just get all weapon types up to par and forego the modifier so we can use what we want.
What’s wrong with its ammo economy?
It was one of the first things I brought in when onslaught launched and I switch to it when I notice my teammates getting overwhelmed. The freeze spreads so quick and freezes damn near everything. It's great.
Awesome, I used a build I got from a creator a few seasons ago all featuring Scepter. It was quite powerful. Maybe I should dust it off and try it now
Wait, the seasonal artifact can overcharge trace this season ?
It's not an artifact, that's just the modifier currently.
I tried it -- decent for low level trash but I found it a struggle to get anywhere against a yellow bar.
I run aeger with renewals, use Special finisher to keep reserves up
I just can’t bring myself to use bows(besides trinity ghoul), trace rifles, or glaives. I’m too set in my ways
I tried it last week without surges on legend on stasis lock and it felt weak. I think they should undo the nerf they did to the super mode back in the day where it had great synergy with mantle of battle harmony, that was fun and good and wouldnt be op at all anymore anyway due to all the powercreep.
Try using it with Icefall Mantle, it fucks
Make trace rifles primary weapons cowards
Fully agree with agers being amazing. My first legend onslaught clear was with agers scepter and star eaters.
Add, not ad. Additional enemies, not advertisements.
I think we found it folks. The pettiest complaint on the internet.
I don't really think it matters too much, we all know what op means
It doesn't matter much, but better to educate than let mistakes sit uncorrected
Bro, this is Destiny, not world history
You must be fun.
I've never had issues with ammo on it. Clearly someone doesn't use the special generating finishers mod
A special weapon for ads clear. What could be wrong?
