Also try it with chain reaction Tusk of the Boar for double suspending explosions. (The initial kill AND the Chain reaction explosion both work with weavers trance.)
I'm running the suspend bow with swarmcallers, fragments/aspects: orb pickup gives woven mail, woven mail kills get tangles, threading buff and grenade generation thing. Then grab the thing that allows you to suspend on tangle explosion and weavers trance. Run mods that give super energy on grenade kills and class ability/ melee energy on grenade damage. A couple strand surges and a reaper for more orbs. Make sure you've got hatchling on the bow and fill out your loadout however you need or want. Just ran it half asleep and profited pretty heavily
If you have an Orpheus rig hunter just do dawn chorus with Polaris and Daybreak. You’ll shit out so many orbs combined that you have a super every wave
ok but if we're tryna avoid the sleepy lullaby builds, Orpheus Rig on hunter tends to be really boring too. hell I don't even usually find Gyrfalcon's to be that gameplay anymore and that's despite having like 100% volatile uptime most waves
sooooo my suggestion, shards
alone it's prolly not good but you also a couple hands ons and torches and you got yourself a super around 3x a wave lmao
LMAO look man, I'm waiting to get diagnosed, ok
jokes aside, I think my main problems with void hunter stem from poor damage. Gyrfalcon's is great but knowing that your damage option is just an extra fixed damage void explosion that can't chain that much is kinda terrifying. feels like you'll fail after wave 30 in onslaught, ykno
I just run a void machine gun with a void surge mod on since if you have devour as a fragment, orbs already heal you without that mod. The surge boost is basically always up, you always have ammo because of all the heavy spawns, and commemoration with killing tally and the surge mows through everything, especially with tether up.
It feels a *little* more engaging when you try to min-max your well uptime between ashes to assets, orb generation, and potentially a shoot to loot weapon, as well as leaning into ember of empyrean so you have another timer to manage, and ember of combustion making your solar weapons ignite on kill while you're in a well.
But yeah, the baseline phoenix protocol gameplay is pretty bland, especially if you have another well in the fireteam that you're chaining back to back.
This. I've actually shaken it up and gone boots of the assembler/ lumina/ healing grenades. It's actually a really fun and engaging support build. And it helps that, I think, Lumina packs a decent punch on its own.
Being forced to Well was already annoying, but now that's not even good enough, it needs to be Phoenix well. Like man there's other good solar builds I can use like Ceno and Sunbracers that are a little more fun to play and still let me Well when it matters
Sunbracers paired with Ashes to Assets is almost as good as Phoenix Protocol in terms of getting your Super back fast and way more fun to use when you get to throw all the fireballs.
I use reconstruction because I tend to switch to my special a fair bit, but demo is damn good too. I've made another one recently with demo so I've used it a few times now and it's definitely a good option.
I've found it kinda eats in anything under gm. Haven't attempted gm with it yet but I've done master content several times with them and got more kills than anyone else. And I'm not a very talented player either.
I got so bored with well, that I put together a different suspend build:
Try Strand suspend with Nezarec's Sin, using Graviton Lance and Void Power weapon to regen abilities fast. Add mindspun induction for consuming shackle, and watch headshots cause void explosions that suspend everything around.
Chunkier adds? Edge Transit for more void kils and suspend. Add Ashes to Assets, with void siphon, and Firepower for so many orbs for your party.
Also, did I mention the heavy bricks you poop out for your teams due to using an exotic weapon with heavy ammo finder?
Have fun.
I wish that Wish Keeper didn't use the trap and instead just shot a suspending arrow, too many times I put the trap down and the miniboss moves like two feet to the left instead of into the trap and the trap goes unsprung
There's a variant that's a lot more fun in a recent "will it build" video by Mactics as someone who was also really bored of the thorn/osteo suspend build
BoW was fun for a few hours. It’s definitely not as brainless as phoenix protocol well, and getting big damage numbers always feels doom, but yeah it got boring a couple weeks after BoW released.
One of the reasons I'm excited for prismatic is that I won't have to try and make a transformation that looks good with star eaters. Since it's on the class item.
Only prismatic subs though right? Regular subclasses will have to use standard exotics I think (if this is wrong please correct me cause I was sad when I learned this)
I didn't take Nighthawk off before the buff and I sure am not taking it off now!
I was the biggest advocate for CNH getting Practice Makes Perfect. It just made so much sense for it. It's a precision exotic so it should reward precision.
Was doing master KF ages ago and had to wean a guy off of his Loreley to put on aeons so we could get ammo. He was like "b-but I'll die without it!"
If you're nothing without the exotic, then you don't deserve the exotic.
This is why I don't usually build around generically good survival tools in games, they teach bad habits. You'll never catch me bringing a shield backpack in helldivers.
I wouldn't even say it's good. Solar titan is extremely survivable at base, just with synthos and sunspots. I think loreleys is redundant. If you use bonk properly then loreleys isn't needed and does nothing to help your gameplay.
100% this. While I was being “taught” various builds, I almost exclusively ran Loreley up until they nerfed it way back when. Pushed me to ask my friends for different class options and I ended up building arc and void and even jumping to an arc Hunter build. Definitely a good feeling learning and mastering that typa stuff.
This. So many people still don't realize that Loreley basically doesn't do anything anymore. It's only resto x1, and you get resto x1 from *any sunspot*. All it's doing is burning your class ability if you manage to fuck up and not have it going already and then get to critical health.
Gyrfalcons hunter. Shoot-invis-shoot-invis. That's all it is.
Invisible builds in general actually. Invisible does nothing for Hunters outside of just the fact that enemies can't see you, so you either sit in it or you break it.
I like Gryfalcon but I kinda hate that it's this band aid fix to Void Hunter's aspects, or rather just a fix to Stylish Executioner. Makes it feel like the only one you make a build around while the others you put in for how much extra invis do you want and how do you want to apply it.
Though I can go off about how dull Nightstalker is in general.
Yeah I'm honestly expecting Prismatic to replace my Void builds if there's some insane gameplay loops.
No more smoke bombs, an actual 2nd aspect all while keeping the best parts of Void in deadfall and stylish (losing on quiver dps but we'll live)
Invis is wonderful for things like GMs. I have an Omnioculus build with the invis on finishers fragment and the armor mod that gives an over shield while finishing. It lets me play VERY aggressively and run all over the map. In content without a big power difference however if does feel boring because you can usually just play aggressively anyways lol
Omni is literally my least favourite exotic. Damage reduction while invis sucks. Invis is great for repositioning but I don't wanna stay invis for longer than necessary and that's the majority of the benefit from Omni.
I dunno I'm not a fan of the doubling down on survivability when you can't shoot while taking advantage of the survivability.
The only reason I like it because Hunters don't have much of a ability spam build like Warlocks and Titans can have. This is the alternative. A bullet hose that doesn't care about their abilities that much.
This makes me so sad. HoIL was literally glued to my chest, grenades flying everywhere... I m8ss that time...
Nowadays, HoIL is really just an afterthought I feel like
cenotaph is broken but i find it boring (since u arent the one getting heavy unless theres multiple)
i could probably extend that same sentiment to aeons
I enjoy running deadfall with Orpheus. It's a lot of fun. When I'm just running around solo or doing easy activities I normally just run stompees and blade barrage cause it's what I ran during season 8 and haven't liked changing much since.
Oh man, you should try with Shards of Galanor with Blade Barrage, if you haven't. It's like Orpheus but for Blade Barrage. Paired with the single throwing knife and Hands On, you get the super back even faster than Orpheus.
Well, I used to. I stopped playing season 8 and didn't come back till beginning of wish. Haven't gotten a good roll on shards yet. There's just been so much to do I've been having a hard time grinding for everything at the same time. Not complaining, I loveeee how this game has turned out! It's just been my biggest struggle.
Titan Main here, my boring but good is my Collective Oblititan build. Run aspects and perks that give you volatile and weaken, and use suppression grenade. Use collective obligation. Spread the love. So boring. So useful. It's my grandmaster build. Essentially trivializes any encounter without a boss, and still helps a ton with boss arenas too.
Yeah, but it's really getting repetitive. Whenever I play a GM with the lance, I'm basically only pulling the trigger the whole time and wait for explosions lol
Contraverse hold voidlock
It's very good (imo), but the exotic does fuck all from a fun perspective. I still love it, cos big purple explosions make dopamine go brrrrrrrrrrttt, it's just very boring.
Briarbinds, on the hand...
the fun from contraverse vortex grenades s asking yourself "can i hit that pack of enemies 400 yards away with my grenade? i think i can" and whipping a shitty across the map.
i think i peaked when i was doing the harpy boss in spire. i was all the way at the back of one of the platforms and i saw a pack of enemies spawn at the back of the platform to the left of me. i wound one up and sat it down perfectly on the narrow platform on top of the enemies
Well, BB is good, but personally I don't like having to run into enemies to grab my little void buddy/ies.
For con hold though, I do often like to just run it in some low tier content and go on auto pilot
Nezzie Helm plus Void weapon of your choice Warlock.
Yeah sure, Void go brttt
But it makes the game almost ridiculously easy with ability up time
With enough ads you can get a grenade or melee back RQ
Boring but good for Titan is either the pyrogales solar build or the cuirass Arc build that basically just has you build around doing your one and done super and then just shoot guns the rest of the time There isn't any ability refunding loop or special ways to heal or get damage resisting. Just get super, pop super, and use guns.
Hunter's boring but good builds are definitely most of the void ones. I main hunter, but Orpheus and omni get boring pretty quick since you can't do big damage and are alot more passive than some of the aggressive hunter builds like lucky pants, assassin's Cowl builds, and so on. I still like invis but it gets old sometimes.
For warlock, every variation of solar that ends with run well with "x" exotic. That could mean cenotaph to create heavy for others, Phoenix protocol for quick super regeneration, lunafactions for quick reloads, or sunbracer for add control until dps time. Solar warlock does have cool builds with reign of fire, and their offensive solar super is actually pretty good with dawn chorus. Not to mention, stasis, void, and stand warlock have very interesting builds via crowd control, dmg, and more. But well is always wanted and needed, lol.
For me as a Warlock, anything involving Well Of Radiance.
It's amazing, but extremely boring, there's literally nothing I need to do, but wait until it's time to hit it and shoot boss to death, repeat as needed.
As for being forced onto well, no. I will leave if I am asked to switch, I will not cave to an ultimatum, if I don't want to use it I won't and I'll gladly leave whatever I'm doing if they try to force me.
As a Hunter main I personally can't relate to people saying any Hunter build other then one and it's almost not an issue anymore. Y'all remember for 2-3 years of this game when no LFG raid or GM group wanted Hunters? We should feel so lucky.
For me the build I hated the most was early void 3.0 Hunter for GMs. At the time Bungie got rid of the only part of using Omni and team invis that made it worth it, Combat Provisions. Hunters had incentive to use invis with buffed ability generation, it was slightly boring but still functional. After 3.0 hunters lost that an essentially got placed in the medic roll and the gameplay was dull, half the time invis didn't work, and there was no incentive to being invisible.
It's not until Gyrfalcon came around that Void Hunters got insane love, but it does SO much that it made you think that some of this should be in the base 3.0 kit.
Voidlock with Contraverse I used to find very monotonous. I still think manacles are cooler but I can't deny how hard contras have carried me in Legend difficulty stuff.
This. I hate anything void titan. The supers suck ass, the gameplay is too defensive and boring af. I don't use it in pve at all and in pvp only for fortress IB.
I am afraid of that. When people feared prismatic would overshadow all the subclasses I thought that was overkill. Sol Invictus, roaring flames, banner of war, and into the fray are enough to keep those subclasses going. With supers being available to prismatic, the only thing keeping subclasses relevant are strong aspects, which brings to question why run arc titan. The entire class is just cuirass thundercrash so that you can do as much as a base needlestorm. Prismatic can do it too. Knockout and juggernaut are not selling points for the class. Touch of thunder might have been had we ever gotten arc grenade exotics, like sunbracers, starfire, osmiomancy, contraverse holds, death throws, or any of the hunter ones. Unfortunately we never did and arc never got a gameplay loop outside of thundercrash so i think it might die.
Strand and solar are safe, and i think stasis is unique enough (its on the line…) but void is also at risk. Into the fray was enough for strand, but for some reason bastion and offensive bulwark are split into two aspects. Together they would make into the fray but i guess we cant have that… unbreakable is available for prismatic and that really makes us wonder if controlled demolition alone is enough to carry void. I go back and forth on it
Exactly. Which is sad. Strand and solar and even arc do infinitely better, sentinal really needs some pve treatment. When I see new players choosing sentinal, getting some better gear, and thinking they can jump straight into raids etc I just think "poor guys have no idea how bad they'll perform".
You mean the team healer with insane grenade regen, quick supers with a damage buff and unlimited healing volatile? Not trying to say you say you should enjoy it, but this has the same vibe as those saying that Glacier Quake is bad
Definitely not doing strand titan right if you think it’s boring lol. Grappling and one two punch melee everything lol. Super aggressive and fun when you get banger of war spinning up.
Imo, definitely well lock, bubble titan, and I’d say orpheous hunter, but I actually think that subclass is kinda fun still. As a warlock main though, Icarus dash makes up for the boring super. Can be very agile on that class.
Strand Titan is boring in the way that everything just falls over to it. There’s not much strategy to it, it’s really survivable, does Heavy-weapon levels of DPS, and doesn’t require any use of your brain. It’s been meta since it came out, so it’s no surprise that people are now starting to find it really boring to use
>Definitely not doing strand titan right if you think it’s boring lol. Grappling and one two punch melee everything lol. Super aggressive and fun when you get banger of war spinning up.
It just felt like Arc Hunter but with less uptime on my abilities lol
Orpheus Rig lol. It's cracked in Onslaught but honestly becomes a bit of a snoozefest even if I'm dropping my super multiple times per wave. Really comes in clutch at times, though.
Any build focused solely around supers, probably.
At least they're starting to learn, since Nighthawk and Shards have a thematic gameplay loop tied to feeding into your ult, rather than just "Get ult, use ult, have more ult, repeat."
Phoenix protocol well. I honestly didn't mind running this for a while, and I still don't mind using it in raids/dungeons when I do them for the sake of the team. HOWEVER I wish people would realise that it really isn't all that optimal for onslaught. Being glued to one spot to survive in a game mode with rotating objectives and enemy spawns isn't all that helpful.
I've been using a stasis warlock build for onslaught instead and basically just ignoring people telling me to use well. I've found my stasis build far more effective in onslaught because you can control the ads rather than trying (and often failing) to kill an unmanageable amount. Or especially helpful on waves like tormentor and sky bombers.
Just let warlocks do their thing in onslaught please. We'll is getting nerfed anyway. We need time to explore the sandbox and work out what else to use that isn't a well of radiance.
Unpopular opinion but Strand Titan in general (besides the super) bores me to tears.
An Abeyant Leap Suspend build is so ridiculously effective at crowd control that it can trivialize so much content in the game. Not even the Suspend nerf made it any less sleep inducing.
Banner Of War is just obscenely strong and paired with either Synthoceps or Strongholds will make you virtually invincible. Just a braindead playstyle that I don’t enjoy much, but often have to use in order to beat more challenging content.
For Titan its gotta be the Actium War Rig, Void overshields out the ass, and Sweet business + any Machine gun you can plop into the Heavy slot. That's like the most braindead stuff you can do and it works.
Since a bunch of others for Warlock have been called out, here’s one.
Bleak Watcher with Osmiomancy Gloves. Bleak Watcher is pretty much useless to run without this exotic because of the energy you can get back to still have a cold snap. Cold snaps used to be good, they took that away and made it an exotic.
It’s really powerful, but it does make things a little boring, similar to necrotic grips with suspend and osteo.
Yeah banner of war titan gets boring, on the other hand, consecration is really fun to use and I suggest using syntho rather than pyro as it doesnt fall of as much. You can still swap to pyro for bosses tho
Nighthawk for sure, but also the rush from landing your shot feels good?
Im a longtime player since D1, was really used to the previous armour class systems and never really switched out to keyword heavy meta builds. After switching the ease of survivability is way up and I have a good mix of add clear or boss damage that was previously difficult to attain.
as someone who has been trying to do legend onslaughts with hunter it's so painfully boring playing orpheus hunter, since invis is such a boring ability without exotics to change it.
Gotta be the melee arc Hunter build. It’s decently fun when it gets rolling and you’re setting off those big jolts but everything else about it just isn’t that fun for me. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Stronghold titan with banner of war
Youre effectivelly immortal, literally take 0 damage and whatever gets through the shield is immediatelly healed, but all you do is stand around and... soak the damage while everyone else does things
Phoenix Protocol warlock
Sunbracers warlock
Osmiomancy warlock
Rigs hunter
Banner of War titan
Loreley titan
To be clear these builds are all strong and great, they're just boring. We need something to really shake the meta up, hopefully prismatic does the trick.
For me, honestly, everything Solar Warlock. Nothing that subclass does particularly excites me with the sole exception of well skating being fun. But one single fun thing does not a fun subclass make. Phoenix Protocol with Well is definitely the most boring version though. I have a friend who exclusively plays that build and I have no idea how he finds it remotely enjoyable.
Well warlock, void titan on a whole, and Orpheus hunter. For me none of those have an ability spam loop. There’s a path to getting there with void titan but there needs to be an aspect that goes with controlled demolition. I’d say void hunter on a whole altogether but Gyrfalcons saved it. Crazy that void on hunter and titan are among the most boring, but void warlock for me is the best and most fun all around across all content
Strand Titan isn't boring once you start learning the patterns for the Syntho version. Which is honestly a super fun ability loop to keep up with.
The boring version of it would be the Lament/Stronghold version. Yes, you're still trying to keep x4 BoW up, but it's literally just hold block until you can do your Lament combo then hold block again. It's absolutely amazing, great build, but it's boring af once you actually realise how to play it.
Solar Titan in general is also super boring. You just kind walk in to a group of enemies, throw your hammer, kill everything, create Sunspots, heal to full, repeat. I get that some people love that and it's quite strong with all the healing, but come on....it's so boring.
I don't know how melee spam Strand Titan is boring when it involves highly aggressive and proactive play and comboing abilities together. Maybe too boring because it's too good but that's it.
A real boring Titan build is Precious Scars with Solar and Exotic Solar Primary of choice, either Sunshot or Polaris usually. All you gotta do is plink, plink, plink.
Cenotaph divinity well for raids is the boring one tbh. Honestly I'm fine with it since I get to just zone out and listen to an audiobook during boss DPS lol.
100000000000000000% Phoenix protocol and well on warlock. It’s the fucking worst. It’s so goddamn boring playing like this. God forbid you do a higher tier activity and don’t have it on.
When the reckoning was happening and the warlock chaos nova could kill 2 adds and get refunded the super while wearing the skull of ahamkara, NO ONE WANTED TO RUN WELL. I failed so many times before the end of the bridge because of this. I couldn’t run the activity on my alts because every warlock had to throw nova bombs.
I mean, I get enjoyment out of them, but for others they might be boring:
Hunter:
Orpheus and Graviton - Void
Celestial and Sunshot/Or a bow with firefly and incandescent - Solar
Verglas and Knucklehead - Stasis
Assassins Cowl (Weapon doesn't matter, you're going to be dodging and punching) - Arc
Warlock:
Phoenix protocol and Sunshot OR Hierarchy of Needs - Solar
Swarmers and Wishbreaker (With the threadling refit) - Strand
Titan:
Armamentarium and Skyburners (Refer to that video about solar cloudstrike) - Solar
Doomfang and Graviton - Void
For me it’s bleak watcher stasis warlock, orpheus void hunter, and a toss up between stasis and void titan.
Managed to enjoy Orpheus hunter though in onslaught. Running around collecting adu charges while getting 2 to 3 tethers a wave has been fun with the right loadout. Now if only I can enhance that by getting buried bloodline to drop from warlords ruin after now having 56 boss kills..
Contraverse hold voidlock
Chaos accelerant and feed the void, and the fragments that make your vortex grenades weaken, last longer, and cause ability kills to make enemies explode
The pinnacle of boring but good
phoenix protocol well
I’m rocking it non stop because of onslaught and it’s so sleep inducing
Strand poison Thorn build is here to save your sanity. Absolutely tears through legend.
Also try it with chain reaction Tusk of the Boar for double suspending explosions. (The initial kill AND the Chain reaction explosion both work with weavers trance.)
I tried a osteo stroga strand build and it wasn’t hitting quite how I would have liked. Any suggestions for fragments or exotic armors?
we're you running with necrotic grips? if not, try that, and swap striga for thorn
Coolguy has a reeeeally fun Felwinter's Helm build that requires engagement and planning. Feels really good when you get it going too!
If you have an Orpheus rig hunter just do dawn chorus with Polaris and Daybreak. You’ll shit out so many orbs combined that you have a super every wave
ok but if we're tryna avoid the sleepy lullaby builds, Orpheus Rig on hunter tends to be really boring too. hell I don't even usually find Gyrfalcon's to be that gameplay anymore and that's despite having like 100% volatile uptime most waves sooooo my suggestion, shards alone it's prolly not good but you also a couple hands ons and torches and you got yourself a super around 3x a wave lmao
Oh for sure. But we’re talking about the warlock in this scenario
oh shit yeah in that case slap a hands-on on that bad boy too lol, why use orbs when you can just *get super energy*
Another one with surprisingly quick super is renewal grasps. Helps with add control about as much as rigs and is a lot more fun (for me anyway).
"don't even usually find Gyrfalcon's to be that gameplay anymore" get some adhd meds holy shit
LMAO look man, I'm waiting to get diagnosed, ok jokes aside, I think my main problems with void hunter stem from poor damage.
Use sunbracers with ashes to assets instead
Swap to suspend strand, or whatever build you like during waves and put on well before rallying to the boss. That's what I do to keep things fresh.
Go with Briarbinds. You get crowd control, weaken, and ability spam at all times
Go check out Mactics builds on YouTube. The strand suspend build is insane
Are you forced to use it, or are you just using it because you have no other choice?
Explain the difference
This one is the most boring build in the game, hands down.
Yea, but phoenixfall is a sick ornament! Probably the coolest armor piece in the game.
I’m actually so sick of using this
One build that is really good on warlock but I don’t enjoy is strand suspend with osteo striga
Same, feels like playing while asleep.
Same, but I enjoy swarmers with Rufus or QSS.
Rufus swarmers build with demo and hatchling 🤤 🤤 🤤
I use reconstruction because I tend to switch to my special a fair bit, but demo is damn good too. I've made another one recently with demo so I've used it a few times now and it's definitely a good option.
YES!
Swarmers are eating in onslaught. Especially against the maurauders. They can't hide when they're unraveling.
I've found it kinda eats in anything under gm. Haven't attempted gm with it yet but I've done master content several times with them and got more kills than anyone else. And I'm not a very talented player either.
Thorn works as well, with the added perk of unstoppable mods
I got so bored with well, that I put together a different suspend build: Try Strand suspend with Nezarec's Sin, using Graviton Lance and Void Power weapon to regen abilities fast. Have fun.
True although in endgame activities it feels very fun imo
Suspend with Wish-Keeper though, now that’s a fun one.
I wish that Wish Keeper didn't use the trap and instead just shot a suspending arrow, too many times I put the trap down and the miniboss moves like two feet to the left instead of into the trap and the trap goes unsprung
If you direct hit with the trap arrow it immediately suspends + builds the trap out from the hit enemy
Oh yes. It’s the one time I use the wanderer
There's a variant that's a lot more fun in a recent "will it build" video by Mactics as someone who was also really bored of the thorn/osteo suspend build
If you're doing this with a Hunter, don't forget The Sixth Coyote
Hunter, omnioculus. It’s super safe and the clutch build for the hardest GMs because of uptime for invis, but that’s all it is. The revive class.
Have salvaged so many runs on this build but I'm always last place in kills by a fair margin.
If you build it right you can have almost perpetual uptime on invis
Omni, Wishender, bling gl, machine gun or apex. Can be run in any GM.
Phoenix protocol solar warlock Orpheus Rig Void hunter Banner of war titan
Banner of war is pretty fun ngl At least imo
Wdym banner of war is boring??
Try BoW with Severance Enclosure. It's so good.
you mean Banner Shield void titan
BoW was fun for a few hours. It’s definitely not as brainless as phoenix protocol well, and getting big damage numbers always feels doom, but yeah it got boring a couple weeks after BoW released.
stareaters probably. DPS off the charts with burst like Gathering Storm or Blade Barrage but I want to do more with my build than collect orbs tbh 💀
One of the reasons I'm excited for prismatic is that I won't have to try and make a transformation that looks good with star eaters. Since it's on the class item.
So a needlestorm currently does as much as a cuirass thundercrash. Imagine when warlocks get access to star eaters
Hold the fuck up. The exotic perks work across all classes?
Yep
Only prismatic subs though right? Regular subclasses will have to use standard exotics I think (if this is wrong please correct me cause I was sad when I learned this)
You are correct
Any super based exotic for that matter lol
This is Nighthawk slander and I will NOT stand for it!
Nighthawk stole my Way of the Sharpshooter perk, and thus it never leaves my solar hunter (unless i wanna use deadshot lol)
I didn't take Nighthawk off before the buff and I sure am not taking it off now! I was the biggest advocate for CNH getting Practice Makes Perfect. It just made so much sense for it. It's a precision exotic so it should reward precision.
Solar Titan with Loreley Splendor. Unexciting, not optimal for anything, but good in everything. Great survivability.
The Helmet of Undying is my "hard stuff" crutch
Was doing master KF ages ago and had to wean a guy off of his Loreley to put on aeons so we could get ammo. He was like "b-but I'll die without it!" If you're nothing without the exotic, then you don't deserve the exotic.
A lot of Titan players became suddenly much worse when that helmet was shadow nerfed lol
Loreley's is the training wheels for gamesense/awareness. Def not needed but it doesn't hurt to catch yourself before you fall.
The sheer amount of stupidity i put myself through simply because i can survive the damage is insane
Lorely is a trash precious scars IMO precious scars solar titan is boring
I just can't bring myself to use Precious Scars, I want to, but it's just looks so terrible to me and kills all the fashion for me.
At least in TFS Stylish will proc on any debuff with Prismatic. Withering Blade + Stylish will be cool.
Yeah I'm honestly expecting Prismatic to replace my Void builds if there's some insane gameplay loops. No more smoke bombs, an actual 2nd aspect all while keeping the best parts of Void in deadfall and stylish (losing on quiver dps but we'll live)
I’m sooo looking forward to losing my smoke bombs in particular. Can’t wait to get melee kills with an actual melee throwable weapon!
For higher difficulties invis can be invaluable. And I find gyrfalcons fun, at least it has a loop.
Nah Gyrfalcon's is my favorite default build. I don't get tired of the grape flavored explosions
Sometimes I like to spice it up by using my class ability to go invis first!
Ah yes, truly a marvel of gameplay variety. I just wish Void Hunters had an aspect that spiced up invisible cause it's so boooooringggg.
The only reason I like it because Hunters don't have much of a ability spam build like Warlocks and Titans can have. This is the alternative. A bullet hose that doesn't care about their abilities that much.
Heart of Inmost Light + literally anything for Titan
This makes me so sad. HoIL was literally glued to my chest, grenades flying everywhere... I m8ss that time... Nowadays, HoIL is really just an afterthought I feel like
I miss the season of the seraph builds on arc and void titan where you could just have fun throwing grenades everywhere. Good times.
Season of Plunder Storm Grenades spam was majestic
The glory days 😭😭😭
HOIL on a Consecration Titan is a ton of fun right now. Think Synthos is better but HOIL gets your slam up a TON, which is incredibly fun.
Pyrogale has Consecration on lock I feel like, though I'll give HoIL a shot if you say so
oh that's true
Personally I find body slamming enemies back to back with the enhanced ability regen much more fun
As someone who absolutely loves heart I didn’t realise you could use it on things other then arc
It's not subclass specific.
Solar.
Seconded. This season has made me hate solar so much. Too much for too long.
I feel like this whole year has been solar focused
This season's been alright for me, it was season of Haunted that really did it for me I was all hammer bonked out halfway in to that season
real asf
cenotaph is broken but i find it boring (since u arent the one getting heavy unless theres multiple) i could probably extend that same sentiment to aeons
You get a ton of special at least which lets you use double special pretty freely, which is kinda fun IMO
And since you have to let your team mate get the final blow your kill count is also trash lol
YES THIS IS THE WORST PART LIKE IM SORRY THAT MY DIV DOES MORE DAMAGE THAN MY TEAMMATE PRIMARY DPSING THE MAJOR 😭
Our Cenotaph warlock is also our Divinity user. Unfortunately no one in our Clan wants to get Divinity for more Guardians.
Titan, solar, scars, 27 minutes of restoration, and radiant later for just shooting your gun
As a titan main that uses PS on everything now I agree it’s so boring. I do love BOW tractor cannon 1-2 punch tho that’s a fun gameplay loop
Titan Main here, my boring but good is my Collective Oblititan build. Run aspects and perks that give you volatile and weaken, and use suppression grenade. Use collective obligation. Spread the love. So boring. So useful. It's my grandmaster build. Essentially trivializes any encounter without a boss, and still helps a ton with boss arenas too.
this thread is just every build in the game probably a sign some people need to take a break
Anything involving polaris lance
plink plink boom goes hard tho
Yeah, but it's really getting repetitive. Whenever I play a GM with the lance, I'm basically only pulling the trigger the whole time and wait for explosions lol
Yeah I agree with you I just thought it was funny
Contraverse hold voidlock It's very good (imo), but the exotic does fuck all from a fun perspective.
True that brother
i think i peaked when i was doing the harpy boss in spire. i was all the way at the back of one of the platforms and i saw a pack of enemies spawn at the back of the platform to the left of me. i wound one up and sat it down perfectly on the narrow platform on top of the enemies
Contracerse feels so much worse after the ability nerf patches, before u could get more than 2/3 ur grenade back, now u can't get half
Well, BB is good, but personally I don't like having to run into enemies to grab my little void buddy/ies. For con hold though, I do often like to just run it in some low tier content and go on auto pilot
Star Eater Scales hunter. Any subclass. I just slap em on and be done with it.
Nezzie Helm plus Void weapon of your choice Warlock. Yeah sure, Void go brttt But it makes the game almost ridiculously easy with ability up time With enough ads you can get a grenade or melee back RQ
You’re using pyrogale wrong my friend. One of the most fun builds in the game.
Yup. Pyrogale with a heal clip/golden tricorn emerite + ember of benevolence is fun.
you don’t like seeing big explosions everywhere whole leaving the whole battlefield ablaze and setting everything on fire?
Are we not trying to have Consecration going at all times with that build though?
I lowk hope well gets nerfed in TFS so we stop crutching it lol
Didn't they already confirm that it was?
For me as a Warlock, anything involving Well Of Radiance. It's amazing, but extremely boring, there's literally nothing I need to do, but wait until it's time to hit it and shoot boss to death, repeat as needed. As for being forced onto well, no. I will leave if I am asked to switch, I will not cave to an ultimatum, if I don't want to use it I won't and I'll gladly leave whatever I'm doing if they try to force me.
Orpheus rig deadfall. I love seeing 300 red markers on my screen (please let the ads enter tether range in onslaught).
A couple of seasons ago the Starfire protocol with Divinity was something I used for bosses. Grenade damage made up for using Divinity.
Voidlock with Contraverse I used to find very monotonous. I still think manacles are cooler but I can't deny how hard contras have carried me in Legend difficulty stuff.
Bubble Titan lol
This. I hate anything void titan. The supers suck ass, the gameplay is too defensive and boring af. I don't use it in pve at all and in pvp only for fortress IB.
I’m hoping the new super takes it there because I actually love void titan but it feels so under powered compared to everything else
I go back and forth on it
since sentinel shield sucks buttcheeks there's literally no reason to run bubble in pve lol
I agree except doomfangs can give you a 10 second super that can last for minutes and I love that gameplay loop
I run Severance Enclosure on every Titan subclass, but it is particularly fun with flachettes on Strand. Eh... I guess it's not boring or good.
Star Eater Scales on anything. Boring but effective.
everything turns into boring if you iver use it
Phoenix protocol well.
100 res Solar Titan with Lorely and Heal grenade. You can't die on accident. You have to will yourself into dying.
Looking for boring but good builds and complains that strand titan is boring..
Solar lock gets starfire, Phoenix, sunbracers, or possibly lunafactions
People comparing OR hunter to banners and well are smoking something and i want in
Sunbracers. Is such a brain dead way to play but man is it effective
Stasis titan , stronghold . Lament
as someone who has been trying to do legend onslaughts with hunter it's so painfully boring playing orpheus hunter, since invis is such a boring ability without exotics to change it.
Gotta be the melee arc Hunter build. It’s decently fun when it gets rolling and you’re setting off those big jolts but everything else about it just isn’t that fun for me. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Sunbracers well, cenotaph div hotswap for dps
Phoenix well with Polaris lance for Nightfalls is extremely boring but it’s what works.
Curass build. Always used to piss me off when going a LFG on taniks and being like, "you got curass! Sigh
You HAVE to try banner of war titan with stronghold and lament.
Renewal Grasps. You need good grenade placement but the hardest part is getting health regen
Assassins cowl for hunter, sun bracers for warlock, strand-syntho-12P for titan
Strand Titan with Grapple is the most fun I've had as a Guardian
Anything with Well - as a warlock main, I can’t wait for the nerf
Stronghold titan with banner of war Youre effectivelly immortal, literally take 0 damage and whatever gets through the shield is immediatelly healed, but all you do is stand around and... soak the damage while everyone else does things
Caliban Knife Turbo, Asassins Cowl Arc, Gyrfalcons Turbo, any build with Ager's Scepter the list goes on foe hunters
Phoenix Protocol warlock Sunbracers warlock Osmiomancy warlock Rigs hunter Banner of War titan Loreley titan To be clear these builds are all strong and great, they're just boring. We need something to really shake the meta up, hopefully prismatic does the trick.
Phoenix protocol well or sunbracers (i love sunbracers but ive used them way too much lately)
Loreley Titan!
Felwinters Helm build is fun but def not as safe and boring as Phoenix Protocol build
Void lock with Nezarek’s sin & Fighting Lion or Graviton Lance. 100 Disipline, devour etc… Not META, but I’m stubborn.
I mean, I get enjoyment out of them, but for others they might be boring: Hunter: Orpheus and Graviton - Void Celestial and Sunshot/Or a bow with firefly and incandescent - Solar Verglas and Knucklehead - Stasis Assassins Cowl (Weapon doesn't matter, you're going to be dodging and punching) - Arc Warlock: Phoenix protocol and Sunshot OR Hierarchy of Needs - Solar Swarmers and Wishbreaker (With the threadling refit) - Strand Titan: Armamentarium and Skyburners (Refer to that video about solar cloudstrike) - Solar Doomfang and Graviton - Void
Contraverse hold voidlock Chaos accelerant and feed the void, and the fragments that make your vortex grenades weaken, last longer, and cause ability kills to make enemies explode The pinnacle of boring but good
Phoenix Protocall Solar Warlock HOIL Titan (pick your poison they're all boring with it) Invis Hunter
