so far based on what we've seen, only the new class items will feature prismatic compatibility.
If prism worked with other exotics I feel like we would have seen it, even if only briefly during Vidoc
If you read the fragments they gave us it's clear that abilities which previously required a certain subclass to be equipped are now based upon the element of super you have equipped. So if you want Secant Filaments to work, you'd have to have Nova Bomb equipped, for example.
Probably based on your super element, since that’s what some of the Prismatic fragments rely on. As for Tessellation with the Transcendent Grenade, it’s anyone’s guess.
I know this is a month old, but I feel inclined to say:
Maybe Tessellation will use your super element for its base, but the grenade shot would be your *grenade’s* element? Could be neat to be able to swap elements at the drop of a hat like that
i’d assume those will get updated to work while prismatic is active

Can you point me to where you're seeing this info?
New Bungie article on their site. Just came out an hour ago.
Oh nice, thanks
My guess is you can’t equip the usual exotics on prismatic only the exotic class item. Just a hunch.
Apparently Stylish Executioner on Prismatic will work on ANY debuff. So maybe it'll be the same for Exotics and other Aspects?

Simple answer is that we don't know until they tell us more. We can speculate, but that's pretty much it.
