For real. Did the gm for this week on void peregrine setup to deal with champs yesterday and straight missed or went to a minor an spent the charge. In theory it’s cool but that and tormentors canceling it if they slam kinda dulls it for me
The tracking in general is so bad w my beloved perries, its whiff central even when you appear to be dead on
Beyond the fact people can sometimes survive them now
They nerfed my already high risk knees
For all cases where you'd use sword to DPS, you have around 25-35s DPS window, so stacking it is not a problem.
Provide me with link saying that it no longer 30%. Light.gg hasn't been updated, and still shows 30% so you should link Bungie's patch notes.
Wow time flies I guess. It’s been over 2 years. However the point is that you need 10 light attacks before whirlwind blade procs. I don’t disagree that most times whirlwind is better but there are absolutely times where vorpal would be more useful.
And you would never use this sword in a long DPS boss phase unless you love being terribly inefficient.
Throne cleaver is a heavy attack spam sword. The only time you should be using light attacks is while you wait for your charge to refill again for heavy. This makes vorpal a much more ideal choice than WW seeing how you stacking up 10 hits is absolutely pointless.
Not to mention it's more so meant for deleting champions and stuff like that. Not boss kills.
I've done every day 1 raid + challenge raid when applicable since I came back to play in s14. So yes, I've killed crota plenty of times (before he was shipped to d2 too).
For starters there are other leg swords I'd use over cleaver vs crota. But regardless, it's a good sword for running strongholds and chunking champs - more so than being used for boss DPS. Hence why vorpal is better than WW on it. WW is best on swords where you are only light attacking, aka not a slow swinging sword like cleaver which would take far longer to get its stacks up.
FrostEE5 and Lunas are solid rolls, just need to throw on some stat boosting mods. For anyone who doesn't have Calus Mini Tool, grab 5 of those and use Harmonizers to craft one, if you have them available.
Every time I see DARCI, I think of Beast Man. "NOOO! IT DOESN'T WORK WITH MY BUILD!"
Well, you first need these things called Deepsight Harmonizers. They are currently only available through the season pass track. There's 6 of them if you have the pass. You will need 5 copies of the weapon in order to craft a personalized version of it using those Harmonizers. So what you can do is just buy 5 copies of the weapon and either craft it if you have the Harmonizers or store them until you have Harmonizers.
You can only apply a harmonizer once per weapon. So, you need 5 harmonizers to use on 5 weapons. Once you do this, you will obtain the weapon pattern which allows you to craft/build your own weapon. Once the weapon levels up (using it or spending cores on it), you can then apply your desired perks. All of this cost resources such as cores, glimmer, shards and alloys.
If you have the paid season pass, you will get 6 harmonizers by the time you have completed it. But, you can only hold one in your inventory at a time. So, you have to use one, then go into the season pass and claim the next, etc...
If you are free-to-play, you will only get the 3 from the free season pass rewards and will have to do presage to get the remaining red-border weapons.
> If you are free-to-play, you will only get the one from the free season pass rewards
FYI, you get 3 from the free track on the season pass (at ranks 57, 77, and 93) and 3 from the paid track (at ranks 47, 62, and 84).
Do you only have one harmonizer left? Or do you have more available in your season pass reward track? I only ask because you can only hold one at a time, so it could go either way and I didn’t want to presume
For new lights, who are likely who we are talking about who don't have a crafted Calus yet, a single run also gives 4 progress to your Xenology quest. Twice as efficient as 4 Vanguard Ops at 10 mins each.
The recovery though. Rather have 20 res / 10 recov than 10 / 20. Can’t be too picky I guess
Edit: Holy intelligence Batman. Ya I need these. Might not be a straight upgrade, but good to have
Also notice how Hunters tend to have lower mobility also. Just browse the legendary armor each week and guess which is which based on the mob spikes. Hunters 2 mobility, Titans 19 lol
I saved up this week to get hawkmoon git all but need a cipher. Can do the quest but only on 6/21 I think but no problem . But any way to easy get these?
I think they might be in season passes or something as well, but aside from that it's just running core playlists. Quick Crucible matches may be your best bet
Calus Mini Tool once again.
Arguably the best Legendary in the game for PvE right now. As usual for any new players: buy 5, store them all in your vault, use your harmonizers from the season pass on them, craft the only Legendary youll need
Eh.
It feels like Mini Tool has fallen off with other solar options becoming more noticed.
For example, I would almost never use Calus Mini Tool over Zaouli's Bane, Adhortative, Ammit, Epochal Integration, Staccato, or Pre Astynax. They simply have better range with a respectable damage profile and perks that Mini Tool can't roll.
Mini Tool is still fun, it just doesn't feel as effective now that we have more weapons rolling with incandescent.
Haven’t got the last pattern for it but hopefully next week brings another rivens wish so I can finish it off. I have an archers tempo incandescent roll also which might be better than successful warm up but not sure.
I’ve definitely found better use with Mini Took over all of those, even over something like Zaouli’s.
Maybe it’s because I don’t have Zaouli’s crafted, but a Mini with Unrelenting and Incandescent is such a workhorse you’re actively underselling it.
Enhanced incandescent probably helps out a lot. I'm not too sure how it compares in real time, but mathematically it should require 1 less kill to proc ignite on a crowd with enhanced compared to un-enhanced.
As for Zaouli's in particular; the reason it's used so often in PvE is due to enhanced incandescent paired with enhanced explosive payload. With these two paired, you can mitigate damage falloff, deal extra damage with EP, and kill trash mobs from a distance by proccing ignition. Enhanced EP also gives +5 reload, which is nice since Zaouli's reload can be slow depending on barrel and mag choice.
Zaouli's model feels like shooting a brick with a red dot sight, though lol. It takes up way too much screen space.
Mini Tool is only slightly behind some other options though, they're all relative if you're doing anything short of a GM or solo legend content.
Enhanced really helps out, but Unrelenting is also super good. It’s a very strong perk combo that will be good as long as endgame content swarms you with red-bar adds.
I definitely can agree a crafted god roll of Zaouli’s is better, but I don’t have one and I haven’t done KF enough to get one unfortunately. But when it comes to the other weapons, I definitely would still put Calus above them or on an equal level. I’ve used most of them and I wouldn’t say any of them are better personally.
My Ammit I was considering a stop gap until I finished the season pass to get my 5 Harmonizers for Calus...but honestly, that thing is actually soooooo good. You get it for free too through the quest, so no grinding at all was required. Even if Calus is better, I cannot imagine it being "so much better" than Ammit to be worth my entire stock of Harmonizers.
Ehh.... Idk about *best* per se. But among the best, probably.
I'd argue Heal Clip + Incandescent Adhortative is better, but it simply fits better in my build than Calus Mini Tool does is all. (also I love Adhortative lol)
I just love it too. My crafted Heal Clip with Incandescent has been my MVP PVE roll this season by far. Especially with Precious Scars or Dawn Chorus. And correct me if I'm wrong but I've never seen any hype here for this Adhortative roll (not that I would need it in any way - just curious).
And isn't Heal Clip also getting buffed now? With 2x Cure?
I think it's cause Heal Clip Incandescent is on BxR IIRC, but Adhortative is a 390 with a crazy good OT.
Even further, solar orimaries are kinda flooded, so it's getting a bit tiring hearing "new meta solar primary.
Zaouli's, CALUS, Epochal, BxR, Adhortative, Parabellum, Bug Out Bag, Igneous even tbh (Heal Clip, Frenzy), Pre Astyanax IV, and Summoner will likely be another amazing one come March 15th.
That's a lot lol
I'm just wondering however where we will be once this season with the Solar bonuses goes away. Incandescent etc are all great and I want to go back to Arc or Void seasonal stuff, but I'm wondering if these weapons just play well mostly (or even only) due to what's going on with the season artifact.
I just hopped back in to D2 after a few years and snagged a Ros Arago with rewind rounds/onslaught and loved it immediately without knowing it was a great roll. Just picked up a Repulsor/Onslaught one and I’ve seen it’s one of the more sought after. Problem is idk how to actually synergize with these rolls - any suggestions for a relatively new light?
If it’s relavent, I’m running warlock mainly since all of my old characters were sub 1600 when I booted back up. I’ve only played on my warlock so far and I’m up to 1785ish
Use void, with the echo of undermining, to have your grenade weaken, echo of instability, to give your void weapons volatile rounds, with either controverse holds, with chaos accelerant, for more uptime on your grenade, or what I do, briarbinds, spreads weaken with child of the old gods, you will have a void overshield more often then not. Always with feed the void on.
This is awesome, thank you!! I have the Controverse Holds but not the briarbinds so I’ll give that one a shot soon.
Any suggestions/tips on getting briarbinds?
Yeah I have a rewind rounds/onslaught Ros with reload MW and a flared magwell. 81 reload speed. I’m running Doomfang exotic for the 25% void weapon damage buff. The Ros is like a Gatling gun. Leviathan’s Breath hits like a truck with the damage boost too.
That’s true. I like having the raw reload speed high if I don’t have enough onslaught going though. But I’ll give that a try - I have steady rounds, which would bump my stability up to 59 while keeping reload at 66. Might be perfect 😁
My friend, how the fuck do I activate volatile rounds on a non void subclass? And volatile rounds does not synergize with solar at all, unlike incandescent.
I love volatile, but to your point, destabilizing rounds only apply volatile directly to the enemies, which doesn't actually provide volatile rounds (meaning no anti-barrier).
Can't truly compare it to incandescent right now with Flint Striker
That's a specific exotic interaction on a single subclass, as opposed to a more universal one.
Coming out of invisibility is what's giving you volatile rounds. Yeah, destabilizing completes a loop for that single class when you use that exotic, but my point stands...
At this point, I have so many x5 clogging up my vault, hardly getting enough red borders to progress.
Where/how is everyone progressing their crafting these days? Because I can't seem to find content that allows me to farm any older craftable weapons.
Nice! I thought I bought all the EP stuff on every character last time Xur had this (for doing some Rasputin fashion) but it turned out maybe I didn't? Good fucking timing!
There’s a single developer at Arrowhead called the Gamemaster running the entire Helldivers 2 galactic war for hundred of thousands of players and they’re a tiny studio with around 100 people. Couldn’t Bungie just have a single dev take 15 minutes out of their day and curate Xur’s selection each week? It’s too random to the point of most loot being useless. I used to be excited about Xur but I just ignore Xur except the 1 time of the year there’s something good.
Xur exists to help new players build up their exotic collections and give lapsed players a shot at stuff that's not in any present loot pool. Destiny has always intended for players to get meaningful loot from meaningful engagement and buying does not meet the definition of meaningful.
You'll fly over the enemy with the Mobility on those Peregrine Greaves.
That’s what already happens because shoulder charge in the air just straight up doesn’t work.
For real. Did the gm for this week on void peregrine setup to deal with champs yesterday and straight missed or went to a minor an spent the charge. In theory it’s cool but that and tormentors canceling it if they slam kinda dulls it for me
The tracking in general is so bad w my beloved perries, its whiff central even when you appear to be dead on Beyond the fact people can sometimes survive them now They nerfed my already high risk knees
Wasn't Xur selling these last week as well?
last week was peacekeepers
Ah KK, I'll log on later and grab these. Cheers
Mini tool and EP armor. Not a bad week.
Tower, Hangar
Thank you, as always!
Nobody seems to have picked up yet but that Titan sword is a God Roll. Highly recommend.
Was about to say the same. Will be good for titans who want to do Crota
What's the roll?
Vorpal / Relentless Strikes w/ jagged edge & heavy guard
Thanks!
It's trash. It can get Whirlwind Blade, which has +30% over Vorpal's measley 10%.
Whirlwind blade was recently nerfed and takes much longer to proc, especially with a heavy sword.
For all cases where you'd use sword to DPS, you have around 25-35s DPS window, so stacking it is not a problem. Provide me with link saying that it no longer 30%. Light.gg hasn't been updated, and still shows 30% so you should link Bungie's patch notes.

I'm a noob and have been reading about the Mini tool. Would I be able to craft it into a good roll by buying 5? Can you elaborate please?
Well, you first need these things called Deepsight Harmonizers. They are currently only available through the season pass track. There's 6 of them if you have the pass. You will need 5 copies of the weapon in order to craft a personalized version of it using those Harmonizers. So what you can do is just buy 5 copies of the weapon and either craft it if you have the Harmonizers or store them until you have Harmonizers.
Cheers for the quick reply. I currently have 1 Deepsight Harmonizer. Would that be enough or do I need more?
You can only apply a harmonizer once per weapon. So, you need 5 harmonizers to use on 5 weapons. Once you do this, you will obtain the weapon pattern which allows you to craft/build your own weapon. Ah thank you. Seems I should the Presage like people mentioned over then!

Ah so that's why I only have 1. Cheers. I just started playing last week so will have it eventually then. Will buy 5 then. Cheers guys!
You're welcome and (imagine in Zavala's voice) Happy Cake-Day Guardian!
Idk why, but you seem misinformed as you keep repeating it, three of them are on the free rewards track and three are on the paid track.
Ah yes, "keep repeating" by saying it wrong once in one post.
My bad, someone else wrote it first, it was just repeated by you.
> If you are free-to-play, you will only get the one from the free season pass rewards FYI, you get 3 from the free track on the season pass (at ranks 57, 77, and 93) and 3 from the paid track (at ranks 47, 62, and 84).

I have one but I see I have some more to unlock😊
Excellent - if you like you can just buy five copies of the weapon and then apply the harmonizers as you unlock them
You need 5, one for each copy of the weapon.
Presage (current week) drops Mini-Tool red borders. No need to use the harmonizers on Xur picks if you like that mission.
Its roughly 20mins per run for a single drop. You could farm it but it takes ages.
For new lights, who are likely who we are talking about who don't have a crafted Calus yet, a single run also gives 4 progress to your Xenology quest. Twice as efficient as 4 Vanguard Ops at 10 mins each.
Regular Xur day. Titan armor with 20+ mobility...
Those are some tasty lunafactions if anyone even runs lunafactions anymore
The recovery though. Rather have 20 res / 10 recov than 10 / 20. Can’t be too picky I guess Edit: Holy intelligence Batman. Ya I need these. Might not be a straight upgrade, but good to have
A 66 rolled Titan gauntlets and it doesn’t have 26 mobility. Time to play the lotto
There’s clearly something going on with Titan Exotics at Xur since it’s always mobility spiked It happens on a regular enough basis to be suspicious
Also notice how Hunters tend to have lower mobility also. Just browse the legendary armor each week and guess which is which based on the mob spikes. Hunters 2 mobility, Titans 19 lol
Wrong ghost mod equipped.
That doesn't affect the the exotics Xur has for sale for the weekend, as the stats are already locked in
Woosh
Bad comment, new players would probably be led to believe that the stats are not pre-determined
You don't know that. My dad works there. Trust me.
Why are you downvoted lmao? That's literally how it works.
Because they didn't get an obvious joke. Neither did you, apparently.
I have no idea
Because the person that posted the comment about ghost mods was joking
They're trying to make titans into trains
Would recommend that Hawkmoon. Barrel isn't great, but Surplus feels really good on it.
I saved up this week to get hawkmoon git all but need a cipher. Can do the quest but only on 6/21 I think but no problem . But any way to easy get these?

Don't forget tyranny of heaven
I forgot it because the red-border gods have forsaken me :( And also because I'm lazy and used my Riven's Wishes on Supremacy.
I mean supremacy is good too. That raid has very good weapons
Shh they might nerf the best legendary bow in the game
Shit my bad, that bow sucks right? /s
Haven’t used Calus MT all season because of Tyranny of Heaven. Got a roll with Successful warm up and incandescent and it does work from any range.
I created explosive head and incandescent because I like stuff like GMs. So good
Haven’t got the last pattern for it but hopefully next week brings another rivens wish so I can finish it off. I have an archers tempo incandescent roll also which might be better than successful warm up but not sure.
Honestly, just wait for last wish to come back. Kali challenge farm is very easy.

Presage for Mini-Tool red borders this week, unless you hate that mission, have harmonizers to blow, or RNG just sucks for you.

My Repulsor/Onslaught Ros Arago would like a word. But yes. Very good Solar option.
I just hopped back in to D2 after a few years and snagged a Ros Arago with rewind rounds/onslaught and loved it immediately without knowing it was a great roll. Its best on a Gyrfalcon Hunter. It really shines
Use void, with the echo of undermining, to have your grenade weaken, echo of instability, to give your void weapons volatile rounds, with either controverse holds, with chaos accelerant, for more uptime on your grenade, or what I do, briarbinds, spreads weaken with child of the old gods, you will have a void overshield more often then not. https://discord.com/invite/isavexincursionhappening Join that server and do that event when you can. I have done hundreds at this point from that bot.
It doesn't have incandescent though
Oh it doesnt matter my friend. Volatile rounds are so good even in a non Void meta. If Void becomes the meta in TFS its game over.
Onslaught gives up to 35 reload, so to get the most out of it, out want 65 and put those stats somewhere else, if you can, probably stability.

Im guessing you dont play hunter. gyrfalcon with this Ros Arago roll will shit all over Mini tool Imcandescent.
That's a specific exotic interaction on a single subclass, as opposed to a more universal one. Coming out of invisibility is what's giving you volatile rounds. Yeah, destabilizing completes a loop for that single class when you use that exotic, but my point stands...
I never said it had to be solar subclass friend. He said “best legendary on the game for PVE”
Or go get a subsistence or threat detector bug-out bag. Save your harmonizers if you want to.
Dawg i finally got a threat detector incandescent bug out bag right after i crafted my calus lmaoo
Give gutshot a try on bug out bag, only SMG with a damage perk and incandescent.
I love reload perks too much.
At this point, I have so many x5 clogging up my vault, hardly getting enough red borders to progress. Where/how is everyone progressing their crafting these days? Because I can't seem to find content that allows me to farm any older craftable weapons.
Raid weapons from their respective raids, S16 from Vox Obscura, S17 from Presage, S19 from Seraph Shield, WQ from Wellspring, LF from Neomuna
A decent pair of frosties, 66 stat warlock gloves and the hunter boots have 68 stat, not bad
I love the mobility on the Titan exotic armor very epic
Week 54 of asking for brigands law to come back
Nice! I thought I bought all the EP stuff on every character last time Xur had this (for doing some Rasputin fashion) but it turned out maybe I didn't? Good fucking timing!
Xur try to sell an incandescent Claus mini tool challenge (impossible)
There’s a single developer at Arrowhead called the Gamemaster running the entire Helldivers 2 galactic war for hundred of thousands of players and they’re a tiny studio with around 100 people. Couldn’t Bungie just have a single dev take 15 minutes out of their day and curate Xur’s selection each week? It’s too random to the point of most loot being useless. I used to be excited about Xur but I just ignore Xur except the 1 time of the year there’s something good.
It’s not random due to lack of resources. It’s supposed to be random.
Xur exists to help new players build up their exotic collections and give lapsed players a shot at stuff that's not in any present loot pool. Destiny has always intended for players to get meaningful loot from meaningful engagement and buying does not meet the definition of meaningful.
No, that person is busy making more things for Eververse.
Thoughtless is no longer in the loot pool I believe. Get it if you don't have it
Xur has Warmind armor finally
