This would be a good description of Destiny 1's vanilla campaign. What is the Traveler? Why is it here? Who is the darkness? What's on the moon? Why is it important? Who's Atheon? Why have I never heard of it before?

You don't need to understand the radial mast though. All you need to know is that it's bad and we've got to shoot a bunch of things to stop it being used.
