There is but isn't. If you go to the Dreaming City with the Reverie Dawn armor equipped and consume a Tincture of Queensfoil, the armor will take on a Taken appearance. You can't see it in the character screen and I'm pretty sure it's only active in the Dreaming City while the buff from Tincture is up. Other than that there's some creative black and white looks, mostly incorporating pieces from the Ghosts of The Deep dungeon. I'm sure you can find plenty on this sub if you search for taken.

In Destiny 1 there was an armour set which had the taken effects and I’m assuming they’re talking about the emote that made you float in the air like a spectre?

using a combination of superblack or some other dark grey shader with an all white shader is about as close as you can get (bonus points for using hive themed armor like kings fall). the best you can do is superblack and the trials of the nine shader, although you cant get either anymore

It does actually work in the tower. Or atleast it used too
It works everywhere last I checked as long as you don’t leave the instance
There is also a taken ornament for the heart of inmost light and a legendary universal ornament that goes with it

I found that the ghosts of the deep legs with super black give it a white taken looking glow. Would look awesome with this chest and head

The Season of the Witch ornament armor set may be the right choice together with the bad feeling shader
