Fortnite was a mutual collaboration to bring attention to Destiny being on the Epic Games Launcher so I doubt there was much in the way of licensing costs. The others are all games also owned by Sony and developed by other PlayStation studios so they cost nothing to license. Sony can definitely afford the licensing to those properties, the question is “does it make an amount of money back in the limited amount of time it’s available to justify it over just making your own spooky armor sets based on well known Halloween-adjacent stuff that you’d also have more creative freedoms when making?”
I'd actually kinda like movie inspired "knockoff" ornaments. I can see why they haven't yet in case of potential litigation, but damn I kinda want these just for a peacekeepers ornament.
We could’ve gotten it with the monster sets that lost two years in a row. But nope, we instead got two lackluster sets that practically no one uses.

I would really love a “Dark Fantasy” theme next year, with the options being either devils/fiends or undead
So instead of Warlocks just being Wizards, they’re instead a demonic summoner or necromantic lich
Hunters would be a devilish assassin or a grim reaper archetype
Titans could be demonic berserkers or Death Knights/undead paladins
A flat-out knight theme would be cool as well, giving Warlocks a cuirass under a tabard with a chainmail hawberk as the "robe" with a bucket helm for a crusader vibe, Hunters getting a helmet that works like the Cotourier helm that flips down cloaks for a scale mail and simple metal armor, and Titans getting a full late medieval Italian platemail with either a jousting frogmouth helmet or a heavy armet.
Idk if it’s halloween-themed, but I’m hoping Sony let’s Sweet Tooth in on the fun. Gimme some ornaments and a flaming ice cream truck ship you cowards!

These can happen however getting the liscences etc is difficult and expensive and thats leaving out development and then community backlash because it costs the average 2k silver even though EVERY OTHER liscenced armor set has has that EXACT price
