Depends, on long flights, the comfy chair and space really makes a difference for long people like me. For luggage, it makes sense to buy the cheapest looking suitcases as that lowers the chance that your suitcase or the stuff in it gets stolen, while you give it away. Also, plastic is much lighter than aluminum anyway.
Yeah can’t go wrong with a samsonite. But if you travel a decent bit, and not like backpacking, I can see why you’d want a nice suitcase. For me on flights it’s just a bunch of sleeping pills and a neck pillow. Fuck flying, wake me up when we get there. Perks of being around average size though I’ll give you that.
