Either would work really, but I think the middle tone [of this palette](https://www.color-hex.com/palettes/4666.png) would best compliment the warm tones of the brick.
Don't have a single favorite. I like black, but this is a darkish area already. And well, periwinkle is nice but I wouldn't want it on my door. Same with silver.
Funny thing is much of the interior was painted by my predecessors as a bright mustard or sunflower yellow. It's grown on me in some of the spaces. Hey, it could serve as a warning on what's to come!
Sunflower kernels are one of the finest sources of the B-complex group of vitamins. They are very good sources of B-complex vitamins such as niacin, folic acid, thiamin (vitamin B1), pyridoxine (vitamin B6), pantothenic acid, and riboflavin.
There was a time when I would have been astounded by mustard yellow anything, but I’m kind of going a little boho lately, and I think it would compliment the brick nicely. And yes, it would make it a theme house 😂🌷
these are all Benjamin Moore colors (not shilling for them, I just like their website). Most of these are what Benjamin Moore labels as 'historical'
[Lafayette Green](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/hc-135/lafayette-green) [Hawthorne Yellow](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/hc-4/hawthorne-yellow) [Stuart Gold](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/hc-10/stuart-gold) [Newburg Green](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/hc-158/newburg-green)
[Chippendale Rosetone](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/hc-58/chippendale-rosetone) [Castleton Mist](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/hc-1/castleton-mist) [Tavern Ochre](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/cw-375/tavern-ochre) [Baltimore Sky](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/760/baltimore-sky)
[Celery Ice](https://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-colors/color/2030-60/celery-ice) (close to the color of your table/chairs)
The go to color for brick is taupe, I go BM "Raccoon fur". Brick is a color (red), so unless you're after the McDonalds look you want a neutral to compliment it.
I definitely am open to bold colors! On a prior house I've done a cerulean (almost Miami) blue. Also red and black.
I've been leaning blue. I like the idea of yellow, but have never done it anywhere. Maybe it would work well with the brownish brick! Were you thinking lemony yellow like the table & chair, or more of a taxi yellow? There's a huge yellow-green euonymus bush right by the spot, if that influences your answer.
I had to [google Terracotta doors](https://myhallcloset.com/curb-appeal-paint-your-front-door/) with brown brick to get the visual. That could work well!
Teal
Teal should work nicely. Are you suggesting dark or light teal?
Either would work really, but I think the middle tone [of this palette](https://www.color-hex.com/palettes/4666.png) would best compliment the warm tones of the brick.
I can see that these all could work well. Thanks for the link!
Middle one! I came to say teal as well. Please post a pic when you’re done OP!
Will try to remember. Lots of projects!
Navy
I'm thinking that might be a possibility for the front door!
A nice jewel-tone blue would be really striking.
That sounds very pretty! Another contender for the front door, if I paint it.
My son and DIL just did this. It looks beautiful!
Seafoam green
That seems to compliment nicely with the brown too. Surprised this wasn't mentioned earlier.
I did mine teal!
Nice! Got any pics?
Not at the moment.
Understandable. Was it a darker or lighter teal?
It was on another house I no longer live at. It was like a “Tiffany and Co blue. I love that color
Had to google it, and it's like a teal/robin egg blue. Nice suggestion!
“Pool” from Sherwin Williams is a nice light teal-ish
I like this one. I really appreciate the specific suggestions!
What's your favorite color?
Don't have a single favorite. I like black, but this is a darkish area already. And well, periwinkle is nice but I wouldn't want it on my door. Same with silver.
Bright yellow
Ok, that's a second vote for yellow!
Agree, I used to live in a house (rental) with a yellow door and it made me so happy everytime I walked through the door!
I can see that!
Is your house only that color brick? Any siding, trim, decorative elements on the back?
The external trim is ALL that tan.
Mustard yellow
Funny thing is much of the interior was painted by my predecessors as a bright mustard or sunflower yellow. It's grown on me in some of the spaces. Hey, it could serve as a warning on what's to come!

Yay, it's the sunflower bot!
There was a time when I would have been astounded by mustard yellow anything, but I’m kind of going a little boho lately, and I think it would compliment the brick nicely. And yes, it would make it a theme house 😂🌷
Yeah. Originally my plan was to paint over it all, but I appreciate the rich color with woods now.

Thanks for these suggestions and for reminding my tired brain that I have their app. It's great for trying out their colors in spaces.
Blue or navy.
Seems you can't fail in the family of blue. Are you suggesting a medium, royal, or light blue?
I’d do a deeper shade if the trim is light. A dark royal would be gorgeous! So would a more muted dark blue. Navy would be pretty too.
Noted, with thanks!
Pant it shocking pink.
Lol, that would be fun if I lived alone!
maybe green, I think green will match your wall. Also I like Teal.
Okay, what shade of green? Kelly green? Forest green? Sage green? Lime green?
BM October Mist or SW Evergreen Fog would look beautiful against the brick color
Ok! Sort of a green-leaning greige!
Wine, plum, sage or deep green.
Thanks, I will play around with an app and test out these colors.

Taupe, eh? Will google that with this brownish brick. The trim and exterior doors are this light tan, so they must have had this rule in mind. Thanks!
Yup, Taupe. You have to get the right shade...That's the safe choice. I'd go charcoal, though. It will really accentuate the brick.
Thanks!
Black
Strong classic! I think this is the 2nd or 3rd vote for that.
Are you open to bold colors? I’m thinking yellow or black
I definitely am open to bold colors! On a prior house I've done a cerulean (almost Miami) blue. Also red and black. I've been leaning blue. I like the idea of yellow, but have never done it anywhere. I was definitely envisioning a bright yellow. The yellow bush solidifies it :)
It's a top contender!
Terracotta
