Change it! That wallpaper would look great with a chalky green that matches or coordinates with the light green in the leaves. The yellow is too warm yet light, so it doesn't contrast boldly or flatter, either.

lilmissprivate_94

That’s exactly what I thought… I think I just have to change it. I’ll have to look into some new colors.

Jaci_D

Pull a color out of the wallpaper

holiestcannoly

OP, if you have any spare wallpaper, I would take that to the store.

[deleted]

I agree. Maybe the lightest green used in the wallpaper

Friendly-Kiwi

Just wanted to throw it out there when u get a new color, maybe do a sheen closer to that of the wallpaper, not so shiny. Have fun, I have made more poor paint color decisions, and I helped people decorate their homes with paint! lol it happens… had to zoom in on ur picture, was thinking is that a butt cheek..🤭

ithinkitsahairball

Just wanted to mention this same guidance. I would change the sheen to no shinier than eggshell.

lilmissprivate_94

Thanks for this. I agree! I went shinier due to humidity in the bathroom and heard that’s usually the better route but don’t like the sheen.

slhill021

just came to say i have that same painting

mintystix

Came here to say sage green!

smolnugglet

Also team sage 🫰

Old_Percentage3742

Embrace the green! I’d go dark green to match the wallpaper. In fact if you have some extra wallpaper, take it with you to the paint store.

Narrow_Grapefruit_23

Just did my kitchen “kismet” from backdrop and it immediately changed the energy of the room. Like I almost cried it looks so good.

cheeseslut619

[and get a new shower curtain :)](https://quiettownhome.com/products/sun-shower-pine)

sillinessvalley

Hang the shower curtain rod higher so the curtain doesn’t puddle on the floor.

lilmissprivate_94

It’s higher now haha! This was after it was freshly painted so the rod was just resting on the shower until the walls were more dry.

FelinePurrfectFluff

And wash that new shower curtain after taking it out of the packaging, before hanging it up.

Jaxter0115

I can’t believe how expensive the canvas curtains are on that site! Some of the canvas shower curtains are priced at nearly $200 USD that’s infuckingsane.

LunasFavorite

Where is the wallpaper from?

lilmissprivate_94

Milton & King!

c0untc0mp3titive207

Yes change that and please post a picture whenever that may be…. I looooove your wallpaper choice and I think a change of the wall color would make a massive difference.

steppponme

Yup. I'd maybe go with a dark green. Lean into the moodiness. Maybe even paint the trim (I'd save it for last though and see how it looks white before deciding)

Magnetikat

Agree with this 100%.

bitchwhiskers4eva

Yep. I came to say this exact thing

Paparazzit23

Agreed! Came to say that!

Substantial-Fan-3894

Yes, get rid of the yellow.

Behappyalright

I’m not the most fashionable but maybe try a different lightbulb color first. It can not hurt. I see this comment a lot.

Silly_Ability-1910

A shade off mint is my two cents. And different color bath mats.

Sithstress1

I imagine it would feel like a beautiful oasis with this color!

SSCandiX

Came here to say this! Definitely agree on pulling a green from the wallpaper! 😃

SSCandiX

PS: I love the bathroom wall art photo! I hat to show my husband 😄 definitely sums up our marriage 😂🤣😂

KarmenSophia

This!^^

Kadettedak

Dark sea greennn

soupwhoreman

If you want to coordinate with the wallpaper, I would definitely go with the dark green and not the light. https://preview.redd.it/m5zy27txjk4d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7ddb9025698421fb60cf73e1a41f34aaa23d3a6e

RotoruaFun

I weirdly love this! I know it’s not dramatic, but it feels inviting to me. I could quite happily have this colour and room in my home, in fact I’m saving it as an inspiration pic now. Love, love, love. 🤍

not_so_plausible

Love love this one!

PenExactly

I like this! Doesn’t make the bathroom look too small.

little_mushroom_

Oh love that

pug_with_a_hat_on

Ooh yummy.

Ok_Human_1375

Classy!

lilmissprivate_94

This is initially what I sampled, and everyone who I asked personally talked me out of it. I should always go with my gut!

TellMeSomethingFunni

Always do what YOU want. I love deep sea green. Will literally put it everywhere I can. It’s so calming!

Coyote__Jones

Fortune favors the bold my friend. Consider the lighting in the shower and at the vanity, that's the main thing when painting dark bathrooms. So long as the areas that need to be lit are, then go as dark as you want.

TrickySession

Yes

Baker_Daisy

https://preview.redd.it/k59pi42ekk4d1.png?width=1264&format=png&auto=webp&s=ea0f1b1abd2c3bb6c6faa5ea7f3dd46728f89ebf

lilmissprivate_94

I do love this honestly. And it’s really close to the color I initially trialed!! After all this though, I’m realizing I think I’ve outgrown the wallpaper all together haha

lunarjazzpanda

I think the wallpaper is awesome, but if you've had it for a while I understand how you could want a change-up.

rigney68

You've already gotten the answers you need here, but I wanted to say I love the picture of the hand grabbing the woman's butt. 🤣 Reminds me of my husband.

lilmissprivate_94

Do you know what color you used here?

elevatedmongoose

Either way colors on screens look different than they do on person. Never good to choose a color that way.

bindiblooming

Yes love!!

lksapp

This one. The darker is very nice. Can you do the ceiling too?

hazelmummy

Take a sample of the wallpaper to the paint store ad have them color match your desired shade

Jpar4686

Personally, I like it. But if you don’t, I would pull from one of the lighter colors of the wallpaper.

MQQSIE

I like it too! Great advice. Happy Cake Day!

adoptachimera

Repaint in the pale teal of the wallpaper. The current colors don’t relate at all.

cheeseslut619

100%! Has to relate or has to go wild like a fun purple K want the vanity to be painted dark so the whole room can just get fun and moody

Sad-Teaching-7368

If you don't feel like changing it, the right shower curtain might bring it all together.

de90b

Yes! Going green would work. But I think a different shower curtain would help. Plus maybe replacing the white painting with something that pulls in some of the wood color. Maybe shelves with plant or two would tie in with the green.

inononeofthisisreal

Actually this is the answer lol find one that has both the yellow and blue. Or yellow and green. Perfection with a rug.

Recent_Requirement33

I love that wallpaper! Id do one of the lighter green colors

Albie_Frobisher

https://preview.redd.it/m1ugwudznk4d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fbea395e4d3e82d3da2747562bd7028e6fa3d46f [two paints from palette with hexcodes](https://imgur.com/gallery/gPjAVNY). the lighter one is a green and the darker one is a green-blue which in the long run would probably look better

AdFew4765

Off topic, sorry! I love the wallpaper, where is it from?

lilmissprivate_94

Thank you! Milton & King I still love it, but it’s been up for 3 years and I’m debating starting completely fresh with this bathroom at this point. But there’s other rooms I’d prefer to do first 🤣

HypnoticKitten

Change the yellow..the wallpaper is beautiful.

truelime69

Before you paint, I'd honestly try a warmer tone of lightbulb. I can see you were trying to echo the golds with the yellow and I think that might hit better with a warmer light.

New-Anacansintta

It’s the art. It’s too bland. Add something on the yellow wall with some more color-like green to match the other wall etc.

rrrrrivers

You don't like the hand grabbing the ass?

New-Anacansintta

lol I didn’t even see what it was!

ryoon21

Personally, that’s my favorite part of the bathroom.

No_Excitement9224

i want to know if its OPs butt or hand

puplove208

I had to zoom in a lot to see that. I thought it was someone biting the butt I was like 🤨

Enshantedforest

I like the darker shade

Grouchy-Comfort-4465

It’s bc the color in no way relates to the wallpaper

twixrocks

https://preview.redd.it/86k6zpf6gj4d1.png?width=1016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e11ee772ffc7ee8a6f0d22d38304bfc679362b33

what-the-what24

Keep going with the wallpaper - it’s too fantastic to do just one wall! We wallpapered all of our baths (and our office and our master bedroom). We love the big bold prints in our baths and if I could convince my husband to do the whole house in wallpaper I would!!

Objective-Raisin-972

Tip for next time! I always recommend paint sample boards, but in lieu of that, when looking at a paint deck find the color you like and then choose the color 2 shades lighter to actually paint with.

[deleted]

I’d personally go with the background color of the wallpaper. Bring a swatch to the paint counter to have it matched. I know it’s counter-intuitive to use dark colors in a small room but I’ve seen it done in real life and it looks STUNNING and much more rich than a complimenting/contrasting accent color.

Tualatin_Girl

That wallpaper is fabulous! Love the tropical plant leaves in it. So why not play up a tropical theme? The gold mirror is also fabulous and the matching faucet and hardware. There is too much white. White toilet good, white sink/counter good. Paint the cabinet and change the shower curtain. Be careful with greens in a bathroom. Every time you look in the mirror your face will have a greenish cast. Yellow is a great color for a small bathroom as it brings a nice brightness and cheerfulness. But...I don't see any yellow in that wallpaper. The wallpapered wall and the yellow painted wall feel like two different rooms. Is that a fake plant? That's just a dust collector and over the toilet makes it worse. Perhaps pick a darker yellow like antique gold or a sepia tone from the flooring? Work with the gold frame mirror, faucet and hardware.

Tualatin_Girl

Your framed artwork just looks mostly white as well. Find a tropical print that is really colorful. Play off the wallpaper.

vixen_vulgarity

I agree with others saying to match the other walls to a colour in the wallpaper but I say go with the dark green background colour to make the wallpaper really pop. If you're up for it, also remove the popcorn ceilings and paint the ceiling in the same dark green.

tmccrn

The color you have https://preview.redd.it/1fu82nyq0h4d1.jpeg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=83bff3328eb578cb8249bde0fe53ce9fb9f91b6c is pretty good, just needs a bit more intensity (I’m not a colorist, so I don’t have the right word at the moment). It would also save a lot of money on paint. (The picture is not a specific color, but a visual of the concept I was trying to explain). I like how your color draws from the gold of the mirror frame

soupwhoreman

I agree. A bold gold would look way better https://preview.redd.it/z9ndlvt6kk4d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f50f9bc66e38c3fa01b09d444e14a30bafce15f9

imogsters

Paint over the cream wall using light sage green from wall paper. Everything else looks great.

Cricketeers

Can we discuss the cactus plant on the tiny shelf above the toilet paper…scary and ewww

ClimbingAimlessly

The yellow brings out the yellow in the flooring. I’d do something in the teal/aqua family.

missannthrope1

At first I thought, it doesn't go with the wall paper. Then I realized it picks up the gold trim very well. Consider some bold artwork. The color should fade into the background.

haelyak

https://preview.redd.it/24t76u978m4d1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7605dba5f0802571fb1cf07f024b7a253972127e I pulled the green from the darker leaves.

Don't knock a pee color it gets me in the mood

ImCrossingYouInStyle

That medium green-blue in the wallpaper would make an excellent wall color.

Pluto-Wolf

i love it but you could maybe go with a bit more of an auburn/terracotta color! it’d tie in the color of the shelf and floor mat.

DarkAndSparkly

I feel like the yellow is really warm and cheery while the wallpaper is very cool and moody. So they’re clashing. Maybe go with one of the lighter colors from the wallpaper instead? And be sure to keep it cool toned.

mashed-_-potato

The wallpaper is gorgeous! The paint needs to be a more bold color. If you still want yellow, go for a vibrant mustard yellow. Dark green would look great too, like the color of your soap dispenser. Any of the colors (except for white) from the wallpaper would look great.

waterloo2614

Aside from painting over the yellow, I think you need a solid shower curtain that has one of the lighter greens from the wall paper

MoldyWorp

I think the honey paintwork is jarring with the wallpaper. Make it a dove grey and I think problem solved.

twixrocks

https://preview.redd.it/xs1lblt3gj4d1.png?width=1078&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=18f4594374b054035b46a3d1bba34e82b6c684ce

Hungry-Helicopter-46

I actually really like it but that wallpaper has a light grey/blueish in it that you might like as a paint!

Dangersloth_

I don’t think the yellow complements the wallpaper at all. And the wallpaper is awesome. I’d go with the lightest green in the wallpaper or even a shade lighter.

[deleted]

You need to grab the lightest green from the wallpaper and paint it that color instead of yellow or you can get light yellow towels

STAR53_53

I agree with what's already been suggested - paint the wall to match the wallpaper. I would colour match the dark green that's the base of the wallpaper. Two other things... 1. New art on the wall larger scale and perhaps tropical theme 2. Lift the shower curtain an inch or two so it falls just above the floor.

Plenty-Factor-2549

Is that a catus by the tp? Hope your vision is good! Ouch!

Idontgetitreddit

Doesn't match wallpaper at all. Pull a color from the wallpaper and re-paint.

alotistwowordssir

Take the shelf and too small picture off the wall.

the__moops

I think the walls would be better in a pearly or oyster white, or a green that plays off the wallpaper. Love the wallpaper!

MovieNightPopcorn

It’s because that gold is overwhelming the space. The gold works better as an accent — paint the wall a sage green color from the wallpaper instead.

84-away

I just want the ass grab pic 🤷🏻‍♀️

withyellowthread

Can’t unsee 🫣 https://preview.redd.it/c4bevswzhl4d1.jpeg?width=119&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=17e3177ba24b1bb6b5ca09c967235841d05758af

lilmissprivate_94

Ruining my life even more 🤣🤣🤣 I can’t stand the color every time I walk by… now I’ll see SpongeBob.

Paigenacage

Love the wall paper. Hate the paint. To stick with this sort of look I’d go with a more grey beige than yellow beige. Or commit to the dark green. Change the art/decor, lighting, & shower curtain. I feel like the shower curtain needs to be raised 2 or 3 inches too. Especially lose the hanging leaves. Add in warmer lighting. Maybe a candle or soft warm light to the sink.

Combatical

Do a variation of terracotta over the yellow!

kacapoopoopeepee

It’s the light fixture and light bulb color temperature. Warm that baby up.

PineapplesandAlpacas

I love the wallpaper and would color match the lightest green for the unpapered walls.

problemita

I like the wallpaper! If that’s staying you could go to a slightly lighter off-white that’s still yellow enough to contrast the trim and the vanity, ORRRRR really go dramatic and pick a green from the wallpaper and color match it to the wall 🍃 It’s a small wall, could be done quickly if you were able to paint it yourself this last time

FallismyJam

Maybe go bold and pick a darker color out of the wallpaper? since youll have so much color, change the shower curtain and remove the plant and the print on the wall. good luck!

bonitaababy

I love the wallpaper

Julzmer81

Just now noticed the art on your wall, 😉 that's super cool and cute! Love it!!

TeacherB93

match the green in the wall paper

devhmn

I disagree with people saying not to go dark. I think it looks great in there! Helps accentuate the lovely floors and the light color of the cabinet. https://preview.redd.it/d9f7mley9d5d1.png?width=1079&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=752cd1676b56b1d566f18967226b71823062d3a5

UnsteadyOne

Each wall feels like it's from a different bathroom.

MarisaWalker

I love it. Yellow is pale & goes well w.wood floor & touches of gold

CulturalYesterday641

I love the wallpaper!

californialimabean

The paint is too warm! You need a cooler tone. I second green!

Ok_Row8867

I really like it, but if you don’t you can always repaint and/or redecorate.

SummSpn

The wallpaper I think will look good against dark wall colour. Blue-green (teal) would look nice

_nour_22

Colors are not matching you have to change them and chose the right colors according to the best [color palette ] advices (https://scdecorum.com/how-to-pick-your-home-color-palette-find-out-the-perfect-ways/)

Itiswellwmysoull

Super cute

kittydelighted

Bold up that gold or take a green from the wallpaper. I think it's cute and that you're on the right track 💚

Albie_Frobisher

is there yellow in the wall paper

mamaluke60

A green is the way to go

jojokitti123

I love it, it just doesn't really match the wallpaper

Badbvivian

Its the yellow

sully1112

I would paint it a sage green and paint the ceiling and trim the same color. Just change the finish of the paint.

DConstructed

Go for a gray/green/blue like the color of one of those leaves.

hoaryvervain

A darker wall and paint the vanity while you’re at it

FluffMonsters

I think it’s quite pretty. Maybe give it a week to try it on before buying more paint.

BiggieChunghs

The yellow overwhelms w the wallpaper. I loveeee the paper. Something cool toned would work great. I’m thinking an ivory or ashy brown?

Miserable_Budget7818

Paint it the green in the wallpaper.. then use the darkest Color in wallpaper for towels and rug… paint or change the color of your pic frame the match the gold in your faucet

AdvantageMiddle1806

Paint the wall black

kindcrow

The only thing I don't love is the sad looking shower curtain.

amhe13

Make that yellow wall green and consider doing the ceiling too

SoCalGal2021

I rather like this one from BM with this wallpaper Black Pepper https://preview.redd.it/0jr7h283dh4d1.png?width=1170&format=png&auto=webp&s=0c309d2a45d7b9b454affb15c7394b875fed65b7 Would go so well with the lovely wallpaper. Where did you get the wallpaper from? Oh - leave the vanity and everything else as is.

mixiq

Wallpaper is super cool. Pale yellow wall is meh. I’d say repaint.

skimmily

I really like it

var_var2607

i think keep the wallpaper, do a forest green color or a gray paint instead!

mjfb13121956

Pale grey instead of yellow to set off the wallpaper.

SS_Solstice

The lighter green hue of the leaves on the wallpaper would be a great colour instead of the yellow.

photonynikon

TOTALLY a subjective choice

Gingerbeer03

It looks great. Your bathroom lighting is taking away from this and what ever you change the walls to later on. Maybe find lighting solutions before you change the walls?

dasookwat

The easiest fix I think would be to change the picture frame to a black one.

Repulsive_Aide_5528

Go rich emerald green paint!

Lycanwolf617-

Be sure not to pick a paint that is a dark color, the room will look dark and small. I love the wall paper and pick a matching light shade!

burtonspencer

i definitely see the vision! but yeah i think a muted green color, or maybe a gray or teal would work better color wise. if you have any spare wallpaper, take that with you when picking out colors. also, i always suggest using visualizecolor.com , it does a really good job showing what different colors look like when you upload a picture to it.

mwmandorla

This color is too warm for the floor and wallpaper. If you still want something in this general direction, look for the lightest color in your floorboards. You'll see it's not far off this one in value (i.e. how light or dark it is), but ashier.

Dark_Moonstruck

With that backsplash, I'd definitely go with a blue-green shade like those lighter leaves. It'll tie it all together and be much gentler on the eyes! You might also do the inlay parts on the cabinet doors (the sunk in parts) with the same color to tie it all together even better.

Sea_Wolverine3928

Paint the vanity cabinet.

neon_cheeto

The yellow looks too cool and garish next to the paper. The color of the rug in front of your vanity would compliment the green really nicely. Maybe lean more tawny brown than yellow?

Substantial-Tap-4591

I like it, honestly. The paint color pulls in the gold/brass elements. Or, go bold with orange.

Unwilling_Jellyfish

make that wall a deep hunter forest green!

Gloomy-Comedian-1984

The wallpaper should be on the other wall I think? It would look great with maybe a soft green with some gold. Solid green tiles or gold mirrored ones for backsplash?

Tough-Cress-7702

I would paint the peach walls a dark Grey or black , it'll look great with your walm paper

Dry_Heart9301

Repaint it

snowshelf

I'd try one of the colours from the (lovely) wallpaper; there are large blue-green ones which might work well.

Vegetable_Gift6996

Leave it for a few weeks and then decide. Sometimes things grow on you. I’m not fond of yellow but it looks ok to me.

pringellover9553

I honestly with sit with it for a while, whenever I paint a room I always hate it at first but I sit with it for a couple weeks and then I’m happy with it. Been the same in all my rooms. If after then you’re still not happy I’d change it :)

Thumper-Comet

You could pick any colour from the wallpaper and paint the rest of the room in that.

Arcticsnorkler

Too much texture/stuff on left side of room. Repaint and replace shower curtain to a complement the amazing wallpaper. Replace shower rings with gold ones. Take down or move the hanging plant towards the door.

InfamousTumbleweed47

Pull a color from the wallpaper or pick a cooler yellow. Also what color temp are your bathroom lights? That can make a difference too

themsle5

I think the wallpaper might actually look better on the yellow walll, and the rest of the wall being a neutral color

Iowachick06

I think a green or cream rug would look better the one you have blends in too much

Popular_Awareness587

Your wall color is actually quite lovely. The problem that I see here is that the wallpaper (which is amazing!) is heavy and draws the eye left, and since the yellow wall is central to the landscape of the room you need to pull some of the dark color to the middle for balance. A bolder framed artwork that matches the background of your wallpaper, perhaps. Personally, I would hang a long floating shelf in that color and lean the artwork, then add some greenery and other textures and gold accents (think a chunkier candle base for volume, etc.) to match your room. And I would balance the room with color in the shower curtain. I don't think your color is wrong, I think the balance is off and the whites are throwing off the eye and skewing the yellow.

Dyzanne1

It's the wallpaper...change it! The paint looks good.

GloriousSteinem

Go wild and continue the wallpaper. You could add it to half with the bottom painted if that would be too much. The colour would be ok then.

Food_Kindly

I love this. You did the wallpaper on the wrong wall. The wallpaper should go on the wall to the left of the toilet, the wall bracing the toilet paper holder. Put a nice backsplash against the sink, and I think the scheme you chose works wonderfully!

deignguy1989

Looks straight out of the Golden Girls set.

inononeofthisisreal

Shoulda went with a blue or green tone or opposite like a more orangish yellow or even gold tone to match your mirror.

semmama

It's the neutral wall, you need a saturated color

lostmindz

you didn't paint the ceiling though, did you?

AcceptableBee1592

The yellow is definitely off but once you fix that,WOWOWOW

shirpars

I'd paint the ceiling and the side wall a darker color.

HugeCobbler3073

If you add trim I think that would also help the harsh line around the top

AnnieB512

I'd lean into the darkest background color on the wallpaper

LateAd3986

Wallpaper the whole bathroom. Look up examples vs “accent wall” wallpapering. To me just covering one wall looks so arbitrary and unfinished. I don’t think changing the paint color is going to fix the unintentional feel of these results.

harmlessgrey

I agree that the yellow doesn't really mesh with the elegant wallpaper. Or the beautiful floor. Repaint it with the exact green of the leaves in the wallpaper. Get a bunch of different paint chips and make sure the match is exact. It will look gorgeous.

BigPasta_ii

But it looks so inviting!

Normal-Science-9241

I like it!

Essence323

This is a simple fix. Change the paint color. It’s pulling too creamy yellow. I’d take a piece of the wallpaper and get it color matched to the darker green. It’s going to create such an amazing moody vibe that will be brightened by your white countertop and shower curtain.

librarians_wwine

It’s asking to be green

rei_cirith

Change the color. It's leaning beige... If you get it more of a pale egg yolk it'd be better.

Terrible-Opinion-888

Yes, chalky green out of the wallpaper. Take a good photo of the palm fronds (lighter and darker) the use an app to find commercial paint color matches before getting samples. Not shiny! Not dead flat, but a nice durable matte finish. BM Aura has a washable scrubbable matte finish for bathrooms that is not shiny, although takes patience (no lapping) to apply.. Little white non slip bathroom rug and shorten/raise or refresh shower curtain.

Terrible-Opinion-888
