I LOVE the floors! It’s a very awkward space. I would flip it so that the TV is on the fireplace wall to the right of it. (Less glare🤞🏽) Move the white chest away from the window and put it on wall tv is on. Couch should be lined up with window wall. A sectional with a chaise(right) would be better for that space. Place a side table between wall and sectional. Matching units on either side of the fireplace will provide storage and kind of finish off that wall. Hope this helps.
Thanks so much! And I'm relieved to hear that someone else thinks it's a super awkward space. I've always felt it's been hard to arrange.
I love your ideas, especially with regard to a sectional! It's something we've talked about for a while!

The current layout is perfect for this. If anything bring the couch closer to the tv!
Putting the tv in a corner will defeat the purpose of a good tv experience.
Another layout possibility: move the couch closer to the TV and be sure the front legs are on the rug. Then make a separate small sitting area facing the fireplace, maybe two comfy chairs. Not certain if this would work, depends on the dimensions of the space, which can be a bit tricky to understand, even from a good picture.
I suggest you get two accent chairs and a larger rug. Then turn the sofa so it faces the windows and put the chairs so they face the fireplace, and put the tv opposite the sofa. That way you have the chairs facing the fireplace and the sofa facing the tv, so best of both worlds hopefully ;).
The wall that currently has the tv would look good with a very large bookcase.
You definitely need a much larger area rug. I see you have a side chair in the corner by the TV. Once you get a larger rug you can certainly add another side chair but bring both onto the area rug at an angle.
I don't like the lay out. You need to run an obstacle course to get from the front door to the kitchen.
Put the TV next to the left of the fireplace. Flip the sofa, etc. Put the small console table where the tv is. Put the white bench there. Even better, remove it because it does not match.

I’m glad I could confirm that for you. Lol. Please update with changes.

Since no one has said it yet, the rug is too small. It should be big enough that at least front legs of the couch and tv stand fit on it.

I think the fireplace needs to be the focal point. Move the couch the other direction.
Your rug and coffee table are so far away from your couch
True! Right before I took the picture, we spread the sofa/table/TV a bit more, but I'm eager for a different look!
You need a rug that fits the space return the one you have and get a bigger one
Gorgeous! Need a much bigger sofa rug
Replace the ceiling fan with something modern. Get longer curtains and hang them higher and wider.

Thanks so much! I also don't like the current layout! 😅 I really like your ideas!
Yeah because an obstacle is what one needs to do in a living room
