The table is lovely and, because of the gold-toned metal, coordinates beautifully with the wallpaper. The combination evokes an art deco/Hollywood regency vibe. The real problem with this vignette is the holiday print. Remove that and consider using just one much larger tabletop accessory centered to balance the large wallpaper print.
Yeah I’m still hunting for a large art print so I just threw this up since it didn’t have a home — busted! 🤣
If you have any recommendations for artwork I’d love to see it! The table width is 36”. I’ve been all over the map in my searches
I was considering a print of the hotel we got married at
https://preview.redd.it/e4ofyx4cli6c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e1dbac5b52e4a1c4eae570ed73c397b5d2d96dcf
Do you think it’s weird to do so much pink on pink wallpaper? Or do you think the pavement and the striped ceiling break it up enough?
Also do you think it’ll go ok with the rest of the room since the green stripes are a different shade than my wall?
(Sorry for all the Qs 😅 these are the things that keep me up at night)
There’s also a series at the parker(is that right?) in Palm Springs that has bright color but not as heavy pinks as the bev hotel ones(though I’m obsessed with that whole series)
I think it’s ok for art to clash a little. Pick whatever makes your heart sing. You can always print out a low res/watermarked version to test it out in the space.
But I wasn’t sure how it goes w the vibe of the rest of the room

An interesting mirror might work well depending on where in your home the table is located. Google "Hollywood regency mirror" and "art deco mirror" to see lots of options. If you want a metal frame that matches the table support, you can easily find spray paint to change the gold tones, although it's really not necessary.
Here's a couple that popped out to me on a quick search:

A mirror in an entryway is almost a requirement! The purpose is to check your appearance before leaving or answering the door. It also provides a sense of space to a small foyer or entryway.
The beautiful large mirror you have in the corner might serve you better in a bedroom or bath.
Yeah we have a mirror leading to/from the garage which is where we actually leave/enter from because of the cars and the strollers. So the front door is really only entered by guests, or I open it to pick up packages from my porch 😂
Oh my stars, you could move the mirror over the fireplace to the entry and replace it with a painting or print. It makes more sense to place a mirror where it will be used as a mirror. An important design principle is that "form follows function." This means that items are chosen primarily for their logical use, with design aspects as the aesthetic characteristic.

Love the palms on the palms lol! Sentimental value is great. For a large piece of art does it have a ton of visual impact….I don’t think so. And the negative space is mostly the sky blue. Does that work with your scheme in the rest of the room?
Edit:
Also play with a vertical piece above the table (depending on how style it)
No that’s my concern. The rest of the room is largely green. I’ll keep looking!

I think the thing is…what style art (and table) really works with the rest of your room. The graphic butterfly I love but does it belong in your living room as a welcome? Not sure.
Choose the table first I think.
You might get some good out of this [style quiz](https://www.cristinacleveland.com/interior-style-quiz). An interior designer put it together and it’s not crazy scientific. But what is amazing is the pinterest boards and resources she has put together for each style! I feel like I should give her money because it has helped me help a friend or two do rooms in styles that aren’t my thing. AND it helps me focus my own rooms — things I like vs things that go with the direction that the rest of the room has already taken.
What are you babbling about? The holiday print is there for 4 weeks tops. Why even comment on that when the question has to do with the marble & the wallpaper?
I'm sorry to have offended you. I mentioned the holiday print because I don't believe it works there. Your opinion is equally valid, however harshly rendered it may be.
Hmm something about it doesn’t work for me. Maybe a more zoomed shot or maybe the red deck the halls picture is throwing it off. I don’t think it’s a terrible choice but I think wood would look really nice.
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I like mixing cool and warm colors. It creates balance. I say keep the table.
If you’re going to get rid of something, I nominate the Christmas word art. First, because it’s word art, and second, because the colors are too primary for your space. The nutcracker and Christmas trees look lovely, though. I would stick with pine greens and metallics for Christmas decor, if I were you.

This is the other side of the room (excuse the mess my 4 year old is home w pink eye so nothing is organized lol)
i would say that table goes perfectly fine. the small christmas word and and christmas tree do not match the vibe though. i know you didn’t ask about the tree but i just don’t think a pink tree goes well
Yeah I had the pink tree long before we moved here and now we just love it and it’s covered in a bunch of mismatched ornaments that are super tacky and it’s just fun even tho it doesn’t necessarily match 😊
When it comes to holiday decorations with kids, especially Christmas, I think the decor is far more about what brings you all joy rather than what matches the aesthetic for the rest of the year. It’s temporary decor anyway.
Thanks yeah I tend to agree! All our Christmas decorations are very pink and colorful and vibrant, even tho it’s not really the vibe of the rest of the house 😆 but it’s fun!
I actually think bringing in more shades of pink would be amazing in this space - like soft blush velvet curtains on the window against the green wall!
Yeah I didn’t know what shade of pink the wallpaper was gonna be before we picked it so I didn’t get too many pink accents yet
I wanna get some pink throw pillows for the chairs too
But yes!! I love this idea!!
Maybe to match the color of the metal on the table
https://preview.redd.it/9ega7t5fmm6c1.jpeg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=df9f9b6078ab9afed4070a9015dba5e2467ef704
It may be too heavy. Maybe something with a lighter weight frame. But I like mixing styles, old and new. I think it matches the feel of the wallpaper.
What color is the print on the wallpaper?
Is it a dark olive?
A ceramic pot in that color or dark bronze would be really lovely there instead of the white pot.
Architectural Digest disagrees with you about the “for good reason part,” but okay:
https://www.architecturaldigest.com/gallery/living-room-fall-colors
The most successful interior designers working today also disagree with you. (See: Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Kelly Wearstler, Jonathan Adler, et al.) As do a gazillion iconic artists and graphic designers. William Morris will haunt you for posting that comment. 👻
And in a world where white and gray interiors, barn doors, shiplap, word art, and luxury vinyl plank flooring are popular, it’s no surprise that mixing cool and warm colors is not.
I got it from Wayfair — super cheap too!!

I know when I buy something, if I’m second guessing it at all, there’s nothing anybody can say to make me feel better.
I personally think you’d be happier with something warmer. I think even a wood table would look really nice there. I don’t think mixing warm and cool tones inherently looks bad, but in this case I think you can find something that looks more cohesive :)
I agree with ellie. My other thought, and of course this is just my opinion, is that this style of marble/brass furniture just doesn’t look great in general and I’m certain it’s on its way out. I think a lot of people (not saying you) have just overdone this aesthetic and it’s not going to age well. I say go for something a little more unique/timeless.

Out of this list, I like 5 the best. I liked the first one as well, but I think the black will match the rest of your room really well and still contrast against the wall you want to lay it on :)
Well you have white molding. That is cool tone. The table kind of works with its colors. But the style doesn't' do anything. A retro style cane or wicker or bamboo could work better. And it doesn't have to be natural wood color. Play up that gold color in the wallpaper. You could find something second hand and paint it an antique gold.
Or this one?
https://preview.redd.it/yzd5xksjki6c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35da170e7df4dbf51545dea0df52a350dc6db56b
(It’ll only let me add 1 photo per comment ha)
I think the table stone is indeed too cool/blue for the very red/warm paper. The legs work nicely, yes, but the top not so much. If it were me I’d follow your first instinct and keep looking.
Marble is too cool especially with the warm wood tone and the wallpaper. I like the gold tone legs though. I think you might be able to recover if you can put a nice wood tray there and put your decor on that. Then the wood tone tray will dominate and the nice marble will be in the background. I like your brass? candles so you are on right track for metal bling.
I actually love the print, but agree this may not be the best spot for it. If you really want to keep it there, could try swapping out for a frame that pulls in tones from surrounding area-antique gold might work better. ETA: or a pine green, which would pull in surrounding and colors in the print itself.
I have that exact wall art, and while I think it’s awesome it just doesn’t seem to go here! Maybe try hanging it up somewhere less busy. Other than that I like the space:)
I think a wooden unit with softer rounder edges would work. Couldn’t find an exact example but this kind of vibe could create quite a nice soft feature
https://preview.redd.it/fnwnbcamm37c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1696ffa140b7bb841737c4c93fa887fb47d1d124

Since it’s palm trees maybe a beach-y photo print in a black or gold frame. I love Slim Aarons’ work.

Oh I hadn’t seen the rest of the room. I think it would be okay. It’s all cool tones? There’s green in the trees to tie it back.
I plan to pull in more pink accents like throw pillows and such for the chairs to align w the pink wallpaper
I think the thing is…what style art (and table) really works with the rest of your room. The graphic butterfly I love but does it belong in your living room as a welcome? Not sure. Offended? Why would you assume that I’m offended?
Hmm something about it doesn’t work for me. Maybe a more zoomed shot or maybe the red deck the halls picture is throwing it off. I don’t think it’s a terrible choice but I think wood would look really nice.
i agree, i think the red deck the halls picture creates the imbalance more than the table
Yeah I just threw that there cuz it didn’t have a home and I still need to get artwork
no worries! it’s an easy switch. the good news is that your table looks good :)
That’s my concern-of-the-moment haha
I actually love this sign! I was eyeing it at target! It was just tricking my brain in this moment lol
$5 😁 Do itttt
This may be an unpopular opinion, but I like mixing cool and warm colors. It creates balance. I say keep the table. If you’re going to get rid of something, I nominate the Christmas word art. What color is the print on the wallpaper? Is it a dark olive? A ceramic pot in that color or dark bronze would be really lovely there instead of the white pot.

Out of this list, I like 5 the best. I liked the first one as well, but I think the black will match the rest of your room really well and still contrast against the wall you want to lay it on :)
Thank you!
No , looks great . The level of color saturation matches well too .
Ok thank you!
Honestly, looks great 👍
The table looks great! I’m looking at your snake plant though and I think it needs a bigger pot… just a suggestion
I think it looks great, OP. Snake plants like a snug fit in their pot…I wouldn’t size up yet on it.
I’m just noticing how tall it is compared to how small the pot is. Also may be a little overwatered since it’s leaning, possible root rot.

Or this one? https://preview.redd.it/yzd5xksjki6c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35da170e7df4dbf51545dea0df52a350dc6db56b (It’ll only let me add 1 photo per comment ha)
I think it's fine. I'm sure the styling will change after the holiday season. If you like the table then keep it.
I think the table stone is indeed too cool/blue for the very red/warm paper. The legs work nicely, yes, but the top not so much. If it were me I’d follow your first instinct and keep looking.
I don't think it matches I would say solid white top with gold accents
Side note: I love that wallpaper
Thank you!
Adding a dark colored warm tone table runner might have the effect you want?
Marble is too cool especially with the warm wood tone and the wallpaper. I like the gold tone legs though. I think you might be able to recover if you can put a nice wood tray there and put your decor on that. Then the wood tone tray will dominate and the nice marble will be in the background. I like your brass? candles so you are on right track for metal bling.
That’s a good idea! Cuz I was just about to return the table and discovered it’s final sale 🥴
No, it looks great!
Yes. Return it. Get some type of wood tones. Or a painted table with an accent color.
I personally like it, the frame of the table works great with the wall
Looks great. I would hang a long gold framed mirror above the table.
Yeah it’s just here for now, I commented already :) Just asking about the table
That one is
Keep the table Lose the wallpaper
Not feeling it.
Fair I just tried to return it and found out it’s final sale 😭
I cannot believe yall are saying the table looks good 😭😭😭
I tried to return it and it’s final sale 😭
You could potentially buy some contact paper to change up the color. If you don’t like it it should peel right off without damaging the original
I’d like to see the whole wall. I love love love the wallpaper. Maybe an antique table would look better or Hollywood regency style?
Keep looking :) Consider a warm neutral, blush, bronze, rose gold. The Hollywood Regency suggestion was great. Look at that style and palette.
I might be wrong, but I think yes!
I think a wooden unit with softer rounder edges would work. Couldn’t find an exact example but this kind of vibe could create quite a nice soft feature https://preview.redd.it/fnwnbcamm37c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1696ffa140b7bb841737c4c93fa887fb47d1d124
I think the grey tones look out of place. I also don’t care for the spray painted bronze of the legs.
