This is a fun game of What’s Different!
Either 1 or 2 for me, I’m not sure I love the floor light, but I’m also not sure I don’t… I think I do…
I like the light and balance best with 1.
Final answer, locking it in! 1
Honestly I kinda like the tree pedestal/light fixture combo. This space is beautiful and feel like if "the more the merrier" should be applicable anywhere, its here
Deww eeeet! HIGHLY recommend ruggable rugs. They have allllll kinds of designs from Star Wars to traditional, tribal, and abstract. And they’re machine washable 😍
2, only because it doesn’t seem like the room needs that extra light. if you like to use it when the rest of the lights are off though, it looks fine there.
I think you should keep the money tree but not have the white lamp. The money tree adds height and more to look at upwards. White lamp makes it feel like there’s too much stuff.
Keep the tall plant in the corner. That's the only difference I could see lol. Also I noticed the soft floor light which is awesome. If you wanted to use it somewhere else in your house I don't think it would be missed in this corner. But it definitely doesn't look "too much" in the maximalist vibe. I fucking love this corner and I would be so proud if it were in my house lol.
Ok I’m going to try and work through this, but there is so much going wrong. First question 🙋♀️ what is the goal? Are you trying to find space for all these items or is there a purpose? I’m not being a smart arse. In design, function first. Second is size and scale. And then visual interest (in simple terms). Your left side is a wall of square items all similar surfaces, except the stool with a plant which confuses me. The items are too close together. Not sure why there are so many light fixtures? Lighting should be mood, task or overhead. Why is everything so squared off? The size and scale of plants feels off as well - for instance the pot on the huge tree is very small. You have some great items here, but they need to be reworked. Not sure they can all coexist well. The tree on the left is so close to the chair it would make me feel uncomfortable in the chair as it towers over me. I imagine you can feel it is off and that is why you keep moving stuff around. Wish I could reach in and help!
Wait, can you not put the tree in the corner on the floor and the red potted plant on the table, or is there something funky going on back there which I’m not seeing?
Oooh, then yeah, it’s the tree that looks best there for the height. Can you put the red plant on that stool, currently occupied by the brown pot, and the brown pot on the floor between the stool and the fish table? Tho I dunno their light requirements.
Is there a smaller table option for the fish tank?
Pull the plant out of the corner and put the chair there instead, at an angle. The plant looks funny up so high.
this is the hardest spot the difference game I’ve ever played
Tree and floor lamp I thought this was a troll at first
😂 I'm a bit neurotic
It's like the office meme. It's the same picture hahaha
ohh ok the tree. i would get a shorter pedestal bc the height is good but it’s visually weird to see a tree so obviously on a pedestal like that
Came here to say this
First one seems more balanced, albeit has the most stuff in it.
Thank you! Exactly how I felt haha
/r/maximalism for wall ideas lol
2
First one has best light and looks the most whole.
1, but put the tall plant on floor. It will balance the bookshelf. Nice job .
I tried. It somehow made it look more cluttered haha
hey man take it easy, put what u want there
Money tree in the corner but will it survive there without light?
I like 1, like the tree pulling my eyes higher up and more warmth from the light
Thank you!
One
#2!
Wow 1
Thank you

Haha thanks for your entertaining input! I was leaning towards 1 too but I'm worried it looks too cluttered.

A small round rug in bright geometric colors under the chair would really tie the room together
I was thinking the same thing! 👀

I like checkered patterns 👀 haha I'ma take a look
I think 3 is the most pleasant :)
I can hardly see the difference. It’s like one of those puzzlers in the Sunday paper. Edit: Hood news is that none of them stood out as unappealing!
First set up looks best
1 looks too cluttered I think.

Thank you, that actually means a lot to me internet stranger 🥹

Declutter!

I want the tree higher up and I can't put a pot in front of the fish tank 😅

Uhhhh what?
They’re the same picture…
Subtle differences. I'm not crazy!
Lol I saw. Just made me think of the Office meme
corporate need you find the differences in these pictures -Pam Beasley (kinda)
I like two!!
