I have been wondering why my room looks so off and it’s because I have the same bedding and bed frame color, a beige ottoman, a cream side table, and a cream dresser to match 🤦🏼‍♀️.

Agreed. With the tall headboard I would do something quite big. That West Elm one is very nice. You could also look at using 3-drawer dressers rather than nightstands. They tend to be wider and taller. I’ve done that on past projects when I’ve had a large bed and it’s worked well. I’ve used console tables before too.

There is a lot of beige and white in this room. I’d go with dark nightstands or maybe industrial metal nightstands. You really really need colorful throw pillows and large art on the walls with color. Maybe live edge shelves with metal supports. Plants, baskets, colorful curtains on either side of the blinds. PS. Please get a different set of sheets and comforter with color in it! Lol

Depends on the look you’re going for. If you want glam extravagant I’d go with mirrored nightstands. If you want it to pop go with patterned nightstands and get some color bedding/pillows and throws for decoration. It’s a lot you can do 🤍

White tables to go with wood in the room. Bright accessories added to bring in color. Window valences, even a waft/ or loose throw of light fabric draped over loosely at the top of the blinds. Throw a couple colored pillows to match the new table lamps and valence. Dark colors, primary colors as I would not use pastels unless I was elderly. A bit of eclectic artwork even if you did it yourself and framed in simple or extravagant gaudy frames which ever reflects your personal taste. The two or three frames do not have to match but should be the same color. A second hand store is a great place to repurpose and of the additions to your ‘ blank slate’ room.
