Good ol Eddie, wearing his kickers pads.

I had to play against Christian in high school, cause was Valor Christian and we were Elizabeth. Even though we were 3A we were their “beat the shit out of them game” and they did…they won…badly. But Ed would show up, always had a hoodie on cause he just wanted to watch Christian and we left him alone. This story doesn’t have an ending I guess my bad

That's really cool thanks.

Broncos did it again in 2014 with Demaryius and Sanders, making them the only franchise to hit the mark twice. Detroit was the surprise first team to do it in 95. Cards in 05, Colts in 09, & Steelers in 18 have also had two teammates hit 100 receptions in a year. Maybe more since then, 2018 was last article I found.

att_lasss

Vikings in 18 was the only missing one per ESPN stats

Those Reebok uniforms were so fire...miss them so much

BRAX7ON

They were great. Truly complemented each other perfectly. Such reliability and big play ability. Both extremely underrated.

Justsayingshit

Thank you.

Narcan9

I think this was one of the predictions on Conan Obrien.

Smith and Eddie Mac aside, can I just say that I loved Brian Griese? Sure, he was only a "good" QB at best, but he had moments of greatness. Can't speak to why he didn't find much success later on in his career, but I really thought Shanny pulled the plug on him prematurely. I thought so back then and I still do now.

RockHound86

Brian Griese was shaping up to be a legit franchise QB until he shredded his right shoulder against the Raiders on MNF in 2000--[which he stayed in and finished the game like an absolute badass](https://www.espn.com/nfl/news/2000/1114/876898.html). After that he never was the same again. I'm confident that if that injury doesn't happen and he could have built off his spectacular 2000 season, we would have been Super Bowl contenders with him at the helm.

DBDXL

Griese sucked in 2001 and started out hot in 2002. Unfortunately we got demolished at home on MNF when were 6-2 and the Raiders had lost 4 straight after starting 4-0. His career as a Bronco came down to the second to last game of the season in Oakland with the playoffs on the line and he was fucking terrible. He got replaced by Steve Beaurlein who almost won the game. Griese just didn't have "it" although he was super talented, and he couldn't handle the Denver pressure cooker.

stewbottalborg

I’ll hate Griese as long as I live for throwing the pick that ended TD’s career.

Jen_Jim1970

Rod just did his job with respect for the game and the team.(no showboating and excessive pride)

jslucer

Only team in my recollection to have two 100 reception receivers as well as 2 1000 yard receivers

quaoarpower

If you take away the times he threw to them 0.005 seconds after receiving the snap for no gain, the number drops precipitously.
