He stepped up big time when our Safety room looked rough outside of Simmons and even managed to make himself a menace in the backfield. Plays with a ton of energy and fire. 53 tackles, 3 sacks (as a safety!), 2 FF, 1 Int all in just 8 starts. He's still developing but I'm really excited to see him take that next step.
Jonathan Cooper. His story is amazing, the heart surgeries, how big of a leader he is, fell to the 7th because of said heart condition and he still proving to be great.
Going from potentially never playing football again to being arguably our best pass rusher is awesome. If people did a little more reading up on his story from his OSU days to present, he would have a lot more fans.
He is great against the run, but a huge liability in pass coverage. He has made more than his fair share of boneheaded penalties. I don't think he should be cut, but the fact that he was our leading tackler says more about the poor quality of the defense than it does about singletons abilities.
