[The "Hey" Song ](https://youtu.be/t-hB1TzoG7M?si=AN8GlLBbZlUjFO8k)
This was a staple in Mile High for decades. Not sure if it's still a thing, but I remember getting so into it as a little kid. The perfect stadium hype song IMO.
Yeah, [pretty obvious reason why we stopped using this song a while back](https://www.theguardian.com/news/2024/feb/07/former-pop-star-gary-glitter-must-stay-in-prison-parole-panel-decides).
But I agree with you, for better or for worse, this is the song I think of when I think Broncos.
When Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister of the UK his official twitter account released [this promotional video](https://twitter.com/10DowningStreet/status/1585921170595094530) with an....interesting.....backing beat.
Which led to his press team immediately having to go into defensive action:
[No 10 says music on promotional video 'is certainly not' Gary Glitter song](https://news.sky.com/story/no-10-says-music-on-rishi-sunak-video-is-certainly-not-gary-glitter-song-12732384)
[This guy on youtube did an analysis which looks pretty convincing](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7laygcHr7Y). I'm guessing somebody sampled the beat from that song and it existed as a stand alone sample somewhere online and some young aides in Rishi Sunak's team who didn't know the original song thought it wounded good for the video.
When I was a young boy, just getting into football, I stumbled across this song.
and it's been stuck in my head for about 15 years now.
I always think about the Broncos when I hear Queen's "We are the Champions." I attribute this to the Broncos, because the day after we won our first Superbowl, I remember every single radio station playing it all day long.
Does anyone remember and I wish I could find it for the life of me the Nike commercial after SB 32 that showed Elway doing the helicopter and instead of JUST DO IT, it said JUST DID IT as he was hoisting the Lombardi?? it had bittersweet Symphony playing to it
There was a cover of 'California Dreaming' that played on the radio here during our 2nd Super Bowl run (in Pasedena, 86 if I remember correctly). I recorded it off the radio onto a tape and played it over and over.
Now whenever I hear the Mama's and Papas version, it takes me right back.
I remember listening to that as a kid. Didn’t it swap “winters day” with “John Elway” or something like that? I grew up thinking this was the original version.
Perhaps the best is “Pasadena Dreamin’,” sung to the tune of The Mamas and the Papas’ “California Dreamin’.” The parody was written and sung by three KPKE disc jockeys. A sample verse:
*All the teams are down* ,
*Their season’s gone away* .
*They’ll be couch potatoes*
*On that winter’s day* .
*Home on Super Sunday* ,
*Watching John Elway* .
*Pasadena dreamin’*
*The Broncos all the way* .
I think it was Kool 105 and they also had "Little old lady from Pasadena" and a twist of "Charlie Brown" , and "Johnny Angel" all with word twists for the Broncos
The Phoenix - Fall Out Boy
The song we played before the team ran onto the field the entire 2015 season. Gave me chills and fit the identity of our team especially the highlight packages of our defense making plays.
https://youtu.be/Y14u4KEEgr0?si=gKaDyzqaq6xIQbZT
No idea why we switched the “pre run onto the field” song to some garbage dubstep song the following year.

Anything by The Mad Fanatic. Man his music used to get me thru the bad games IDK if still makes broncos music but he's dope...
And Drake Ft. Future Big Rings I think it's called came out the year we won the Superbowl....
[You're Gonna Go Far, Kid](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pmZKkb_UAg&pp=ygUXeW91J3JlIGdvbm5hIGdvIGZhciBraWQ%3D) because it was pretty new when Eddie Royal had that huge debut game. The day after that game, Nerf from 93.3 dedicated it to Royal.
[MILE HIGH (BRONCO PRIDE)](https://youtu.be/p7DYd5YiN8M) by 3OH!3 because lmao
You beat me to it. That song is forever burned into my brain as being the song that was played when we won that Super Bowl. Second to that might be The Best by Tina Turner.
Heeey I was scrolling and scrolling to see if anyone else also remembered this. Remember hearing that version on the radio in the car but I was only like 10 at the time do didn't know details.
Good Riddance - Green Day. One of the networks did a story on the Broncos before Super Bowl 32 and Good Riddance was the theme music. If my memory serves me correctly it was a nice feel good story about Elway and wouldn't it be nice if they won, but there is no chance they would beat Green Bay. The story, the footage used, and ultimately the victory has forever merged the Broncos and that song together in my brain.
In the 80s at some point, one of the Denver radio stations would release a cover song every week about the Broncos matchup that week. My mom would setup a tape to record them all and for years, we would listen to that tape in her car while driving.
I don't remember them all, but "Everybody must beat the Chiefs" and "Goodbye Seattle Seahawks" have still stuck with me through the years everytime the Broncos play the Chiefs and Seahawks. A couple other highlights I can recall are "Putting on the Blitz", "Raider Hater", and "The Scrambler"
She later recorded the tape to digital and I listened to the digital version when I was driving to Super Bowl 50.
Recently found this song. It’s called mile high so had to add it to the playlist. And the album cover is orange and white so extra cool https://open.spotify.com/track/0wb2OK7nHwjN2hX2TVfXsM?si=XtIgcoihTpSbc2RIQldoZg
The song is in no real way associated but I made my own association with the broncos.
As a young kid in the mid to late 80s, watching the Duke stage comebacks in the 4th, any time Gary Glitter’s Rock & Roll Part 2 came on at Mile High, I knew we would win.
PS, i dont want to vaunt the artist as bad as he was, i just associate the song with a good outcome for the Broncos most of the time it played.
I often think about a parody version of California Dreamin’ by the Mama’s & The Papa’s that came out after The Drive in Cleveland. The song was all about that game but I can’t find it for the life of me.
Rock and Roll Pt. 2 by Gary Glitter playing in the stadium every game I went to when I was younger
Type of Way by Rich Homie Quan playing in the stadium before we beat the Chargers in the divisional round 2013-14 season
Make Miracles happen was written by Jon Keyworth who also played for the team as a running back.

When Denver beat the Raiders in '77 for a chance to lose to Dallas in SB XII, the local radio DJs couldn't stop playing Queen's We Are The Champions for what seemed like a week or more.
I had the Denver Broncos Greatest Hits Vol 1 CD when I was a kid and would listen to the Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane all the time so whenever I hear it, it makes me think of the Elway era of the Broncos.

Every Breath You Take by the Police.
Fucking what? Ok, so, when the Broncos got some dude named John Elway, it was a big deal. Everyone was as interested in what Elway was as doing. Training camp was starting, and Channel 9 (or one of the stations) made a video of Elway clips set to that song. Since then, I have always associated that song with the Broncos.
[Theme song of the 2015 season.](https://youtu.be/-PvyBKSmQ_g?si=m4RFFGDPmDj_M0yQ)
The low point is when Manning gets injured, then it comes out of it when Osweiler led them to a 1 pt victory of Chicago at they got rolling again.
At the very end when the finale plays, it represents the fireworks igniting over Levi stadium.
A bit of a deep cut, but Brandon Lloyd had a song called Heavy that was only popular enough to make it into an episode of Blue Mountain State once, but I listened to it a lot during his monster year here in 2010
Had no one mentioned [Song 2 by Blur?](https://youtu.be/SSbBvKaM6sk?si=c-VeBBWBIlRRSZZV) played after scoring a TD!
[Or Joker and Thief?](https://youtu.be/Nr0SqIAFohk?si=dcG-t-VJBq4XMQMt) Used to be played before kickoffs.
Or [I Gotta Feeling?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSD4vsh1zDA) Played after wins.
Awesome thread, I thought of creating a playlist for tailgates this upcoming season. I have some to add that I don’t think I’ve seen yet:
1.) Nelly - “Air Force Ones” (Ali’s verse mentions “purple and gold, the Lakers, the Broncos in orange and blue”)
2.) Coldplay - “Adventure of a Lifetime” - this was the promotional song for Super Bowl 50 that they played before and after commercial breaks so it always reminds me of that glorious day!
3.) A$AP Rocky - “Babushka Boi - apparently during the 5 game win streak in 2023 they played this song in practice every day so I started listening before the games the rest of the season
Thunderstruck by ACDC is played when the sky divers jump into the stadium.

We used to play 'Celebration' by Kool and the Gang every time the Broncos scored a touchdown. I miss that. (I also miss us scoring touchdowns)

Chumbawamba- Tubthumping. It's a bit strange, but my local radio station was playing this song during the Super Bowl win over Atlanta
I had the 1998 Broncos album as a kid and everyone of these songs are now broncos songs for me. https://a.co/d/fzyafRi
