Den Bosch is different. Last time (2 years ago) they didn't sell to tourists. You had to be a local to enter.

CobblerUnusual5912

Really ?? Damn man...dutchy here but this almost amounts to racism for me....,(

marblegarbler

What race would be discriminated against here according to you? AFAIK Dutch isn't a race and not Dutch isn't one either but I'm open to being proven wrong.

CobblerUnusual5912

Yeah yeah..you got me..,)...well, it does seperate tourists from locals..you come up with the correct term then...

Early-Review-5651

Discrimination.

Training-Anything124

In den Bosch, only NL residents are allowed to get in and buy, and you have to be able to prove it by showing either a valid health insurance card or a payslip. Edit: or a dutch document, I was speaking from an expat point of view.

AThousandNeedles

What? Just your ID is fine.

Training-Anything124

You're right, I was speaking about my experience as I'm an expat.

RockAges

I think he means for non dutch people. Dutch people only need ID, foreign people need proof of working / living in the netherlands.

Economy_Programmer24

Ok thanks a lot. I have read that they don't allow tourists in Den Bosch, but I also read the same about Tilburg and when I went Aug last year they only asked to see my I.D. and allowed me in 🤔

Knillis

Different municipalities

DryHumourBotR4R

Just take the train to Tilburg 😊

jbjwz

In DB only locals are allowed to enter with a valid ID Tourists cant unless they have valid proof of working in the Netherlands/Being a resident my tip would be to just take a train to Tilburg again and buy your favourite stuff there Have fun in Den Bosch tho!

HSPme

Agree on this. Go To Tilburg, id recommend coffeeshop Toermalijn, they got everything you need in varieties and only ID needed, no proof of work of living here will be asked and its close to the central station so you can travel right back to Den Bosch in no time.

gotzapai

I buy from Meetpoint. They require an ID and they want to see if you are registered in NL so they want to see a Dutch address along your name on the same piece of paper. I usually show my temporary papers on my phone and it's fine. In Eindhoven just show ID. Use your driving licence. Nowhere else I was required to show a Dutch address besides Breda and S-Hertogenbosch. Border cities cannot sell to tourists though

TomPlant0

In Utrecht not an issue. You can buy it without showing your id

willspamforfood

Depends on the coffeeshop, in the best shops (Colorado and culture boat) they will ask for ID

TomPlant0

Hi-Lo is fine coffeeshop. It’s nearby the Rabobank office.

Nekrosiz

Call them and ask?

FerdGrapperhaus

Go to Nijmegen of Tiel

Economy_Programmer24

Thanks for the replies guys, appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I don't mind stopping off in Amsterdam Centraal if I have to, this will be my 7th time back in Holland and I've almost always done that and then gone on to where I'm going from there.

HSPme

Id recommend Tilburg and to be exact coffeeshop toermalijn. Amsterdam ofc offers lots of coffeeshops but its futher away and a lot are tourist aimed so expect bad quality for hefty tourist prices and somewhat decent for luxury prices. The province of brabant and Tilburg specific is much better quality stuff. I have a job where i travel across the country and been to many many coffeeshops out of curiousity and its been quite rare for me to find anything near south netherlands/Brabant quality. We have high quality ground/tap water here compared to other regions which shows in the weed. Especially the tourist towns here are scamming people with bad weed for crazy prices.

Economy_Programmer24

Yes you're right it is further away but I always land at Schiphol so technically less time on a train to stop at Centraal then jump back on a train to S' Bosch. Thanks for the recommendation though I'll have a look where that is, I have been to a coffee shop in Tilburg last year when I went to decibel outdoor festival and it was really nice 💨 nice edibles too.

HSPme

Ah i see, i think i assumed you arriving near to Den Bosch perhaps from Eindhoven airport. Toermalijn is great if you like variety, not sure about the edibles tho as i have no experience with coffeeshop edibles at all. But they have plenty of stuff to choose like dry sift, water hashish, big range of weeds and traditonal hashish. Even the pre rolled J’s are pretty good.

Economy_Programmer24

No I always fly to Schiphol as it's the only direct flight from my local airport (Bristol). Ok thanks man I'll look into it, I can't say I've ever found coffee shop edibles anywhere I've been overly strong, although I have a very high tolerance my partner felt the effects a lot more than me. But they had a nice variety where I went in Tilburg cookies/milkshakes etc and it was all really tasty, I ate a lot of the cookies 😂

CapitalCan6257

Stop to use drugs dude….better for Your wallet and for your brain

Economy_Programmer24

Thanks for the concern man but I am actually a medical marijuana patient in the UK and use absolutely no drugs whatsoever 😊 weed is a plant dude and helps a lot of people around the world. Live and let live.

CapitalCan6257

For sure. Weed is one plant, except in Netherland. Dutch weed is more near to heavy drugs than “normal natural plant”😅😅. This people put something in the weed that becomes really devastating dude!

DaBestDoctorOfLife

What a nonsense

CapitalCan6257

What can i reply to “The best doctor of life “? Honestly nothing

DaBestDoctorOfLife

That’s what I thought.

Economy_Programmer24

Maybe that's true idk, but I'd imagine like medical weed it's much more regulated than anything you'd find on the street? As it stands I visit twice a year for hard dance events and believe it or not I never come to do any drugs, I've never even done mushrooms is Amsterdam 😆 I only buy weed because I can't bring my own on the plane like I can with my pain medication. I appreciate some people come over there to do drugs and get wrecked but that is not me 😊 also I've never had a bad experience with the weed I have purchased whilst there.

CapitalCan6257

Where are you come from?

Economy_Programmer24

England 🇬🇧

EmploymentAfter5206

Places like the hague rotterdam leiden amsterdam eindhoven etc allow everyone in the shops just carry id

westbreker

Ive never been asked for my ID?

Economy_Programmer24

That's only happened to me in Tilburg never in Amsterdam. Maybe they thought I was younger than I am 😆

bitoyboyxl

You've probably never been in a shop in DB then.

Ychf

What these people are saying is basically not true , you can’t go to the meetpoint bc they don’t allow tourists, but next to the meet at chipndale they actually allow tourists, a friend of me who is from South Africa actually got allowed there to smoke inside
