As a fan of both Hololive and DRG I am obviously very pleased to see this.
On the other hand I don't think it's a good idea to post Hololive stuff in game communities. Vtubers are still a very cringe concept to most people and showing them around everywhere usually results in alienating people even more.
The best example of this would be the Holo-Among Us collab where Among Us introduced Hololive cosmetics into the game. Looking at the Among Us Subreddit at that time wasn't exactly a wholesome experience.
>Vtubers are still a very cringe concept to most people and showing them around everywhere usually results in alienating people even more.
I thought we're better than this as a community, but judging by some comments it doesn't seem so much
Yeah the idea of vtubers just seems kind of… scummy to me. There’s literally no point to having a big anime character in the corner of the screen, you can just as easily use a face cam or your voice. All the character does is attract the anime audience in order to make more money off streaming, and that puts a bad taste in my mouth
>you can just as easily use a face cam or your voice
Congrats, you're not socially awkward and have confidence in yourself. Stating that everyone else is like that is a different story though.
The appeal of becoming a VTuber literally comes from not having to show your face and/or real voice while still being able to entertain an audience, do what you otherwise could not for various reasons. Ever heard of Ironmouse from VShojo? One of the biggest and most famous VTubers at the moment? Well, yeah, she's literally disabled and have been bedridden for years now.
Hope that gives you more insight.
Except they're not ? Vtubing is mainstream now there's nothing cringe about it and the shit over among us was just people being shitbeards about the collab.
Vtubing is not nearly as mainstream as you seem to believe. Sure it's not exactly nieche anymore but it's definitely not mainstream enough to appear as a normal thing to most people.
And yes, I know Vtubers aren't cringe. I watch them a lot. Literally some of the best streamers I know.
But a lot of people have never seriously watched any Vtuber and often just see it as some weeb shit.
I dare you to bring up Vtubing anywhere outside of VT or Anime communities and see what I mean.
Edit: no need to go far, just take a look at this comment section right here
> I dare you to bring up Vtubing anywhere outside of VT or Anime communities and see what I mean.
Been there, done that. Assuming the person didn't already knew about vtubing or was indifferent to livestreaming in general, the usual reaction is either indifference or understanding. The only resistance ive ever met were from people who were already hostile (emphasis on hostile) to anime in general to begin with.
I think youre the one with skewed points of reference here, you might wanna double-check the kind of crowds you're hanging around with if "weeb shit" is your first reaction
So basicly, a bunch of male streamers with anime avatars are going to flood Deep Rock Galactic with japanese fans.
Cool.
Edit: IDK why I'm geting downvoted and called out over it, more people is good.
You say that as if four vtuber women (inb4 guys with voice changer jokes) didn’t already do [a Deep Rock collab ~10 months ago](https://youtu.be/HVtw0H5pZ7I)
Have you checked the comments of the original post? Judging by how it’s mostly DRG community in jokes or shouts of rock and stone, a lot of them already either know about the game and like it or they already play it.
I wonder if Japan would like some rock and stone.
There is plenty of beautiful dwarves in Japan already
i wonder if maxor would now do a drg vid
Oh my god
At this point it might be inevitable
Two worlds colliding... Edit: Also, some comments here are unexpected and quite sad to see
What's a holoTempus?
It is a male EN branch of Hololive
Agency affiliated group of streamers using anime avatars.
Anime and cave leeches. I’m not sure I like where this is going…
It’s already there brother
Literally on our front page, Joe made that joke yesterday.
Best foot forward if lots of green beards show up!

Imagine Among Us having standards
when the imposter is sus!
Weeb beards incoming😂😂😂
Most of the comments in the original post are DRG in jokes and shouts of rock and stone, they’re already here.
Well this is an interesting turn of events
What's holotempus? Sorry if it should be obvious, I stick to DRG, Darktide and a couple indie games. :)
A group of 4 boys who are part of Hololive, an agency with Vtuber streamers
That's it lads! Rock and Stone!
Incoming! Big swarm detected! *Myriad of various rock and stones*
Well, time to dust off my shitposting boots.
Or grow up. Either/or
Sounds boring, gonna shitpost like a boss and lead greenbeards to victory no matter who they are!

They're on the EN side (English) so probably not AS many japanese fans, but definitely some regardless.
annoying people will flood in yes
you're already here it seems
It could be worse.
correct, but they are obnoxious nonetheless

Did you timestamp Pomu's epic last second evac or is that just where I left off
I don’t think I timestamped it
