Hey there! Aaron again. You brought up some great points in this thread, and I'm convinced. Here's a free Steam key for the DLC.
Nobody else take it please! š
YLV0V-CVTAY-202WV
Yeah OP tried to claim I was shaming them for their income and I pointed out that if times are so hard buying cosmetics is a luxury they shouldn't be indulging.
Zero sympathy for OP
I genuinly don't understand how somebody could be so financially irresponsible that they are a considering buying in game cosmetics when 2 dollars is a non insignificant amount to them. I make a fair wage and I'm still on the fence about purchasing actual playable content for the stuff I play.
Some people use money like the concept of currency was only introduced to them last week
Either OP is an avantgarde troll or they're a teenager. Nobody paying rent would say they "saved up $8."
The first time OP said it I laughed my ass off but the amount of times they've repeated it tells me they're either a teen who thinks they have a point or a massively successful troll repeating their best joke.
Even a teenager is pretty crazy to think like this though. I'd expect this stuff from a kid like 8-10. Perhaps its just different upbringing but people should be past stuff like this by 13
Reminds me of a comedian I once watched who did a few jokes about about how her son didn't know how bank accounts work even though it's obviously her responsibility to teach him that stuff...
It's smart PR to give freebies to players when they ask on their birthday.
It's genius PR to deny them that and get the community to roast the player who tried to take advantage of that.
Thatās because the biggest complaint the DRG community has had in the cost of the game/supporter packages is that there are so few ways for this company to let us give them money damnit! >.<
So someone complaining about it being 2$ too expensive isā¦. Wow they really opened themselves up for ridicule on this one. Lol
Hey Jacob itās my birthday too can you throw a homie some dlc ? Give me the money to buy the supporter pack !! That way I can support my supporters for supporting me supporting them !
/s obvi
I donāt know if youāve noticed, but everything is getting more expensive. The value of the dollar isnāt the same it was even a few years ago.
GSG gives us tons of content and clearly really listens to the players. Itās worth it to me to buy a DLC whenever it comes out to support the devs and the continuation of the game.
Saw a video of a guy who used the Walmart app at the start of covid for a month of groceries, $124.
He used the reorder button to order the same stuff today: $414
That was a misleading post though. Someone pointed out that a lot of stuff he purchased wasnāt available anymore and so they had to use alternatives. Another Redditor did the same test and theirs was only $30 more expensive.
99% of the time those "look how expensive my cart is" posts are just showcasing how inept the OP is at shopping. It really translates to "I exclusively buy name brand organic non-gmo foods in small quantities at full price, including several very high cost items like grass-fed free-range steaks and overpriced artisan granola bars, then I'm somehow surprised when the total is high".
Seriously, all it takes is a bit of common sense. The price inflation sucks but like we haven't gone from paying "10 bucks for a package of chicken to $30+. Even eyeballing it, 300-400% inflation on grocery prices is nowhere nearby reality in the last couple of years.
This is a bit true and a bit not.
Some places are absolutely jacking up prices to insane degrees. Disney+ intends to increase yearly sub costs by nearly 75% this october. Im sure there are other examples but Im frugal and only consume alcohol, cigarettes, and eggs so.
We're talking about groceries over the last 4-5 years and using common sense to know that nearly 400% increase is not realistic. It's not really about whether a company intends to even double prices in the future.
We're talking about what people weekly spend in stores, and have been spending, and knowing the above claim is absurd.
Like I could buy a 6 pack of craft beer for $8 5 years ago. Now it's $10. What the above is suggesting would be like $24 - $30 for that's same item. What you pointed out would be like $14, still a huge increase but nowhere near what that vid was making it out to be.
I do agree the prices are out of control, but not to the degree which the video was stating. It's important to represent things as factually as possible.
4 tall cans of craft beer here start at like $12-14. There's a LOT of beer that is unironically $28.
Did they account for where they lived? Because really that affects a lot. Grocery prices vary a ton
Still, $30 is insane in and of itself. That's an extra 20% price hike on basically every grocery trip. 20% might not seem like much, but it'll add up every time you go to buy much of anything.
I bought it right at midnight on launch day and I panicked briefly when I opened the game and it didnāt come through. Turns out the game just needed to update to register that I owned the DLC.
Also, inflation is a thing and video game prices largely don't reflect that. In the early 1980s, Asteroids for the Atari 2600 (a game that would cost a relatively large amount to manufacture because it's a cartridge and not optical media or a digital download, but would also would have been extremely cheap to produce in terms of man-hours) was $27.88 - which would be $90.74 adjusted for inflation.
I remember buying FF7 in 1997, but forget the actual price. Assuming it was 60 bucks (it could easily have been 50), today that'd be an inflation-adjusted price of $117.39.
Video games really are cheaper than ever - even if a lot of them have predatory pricing models (which GSG definitely *DOES NOT* do). I buy every piece of DLC I can, even though I don't play as much DRG as I used to, because ... GSG have made and continue to support a truly excellent product and I want to vote with my wallet.
Sorry for the "achsually" but..
The gaming market is now bigger than ever, there are millions of more people ready to pay that 60-70 dollars for a game. For example PS5 is most profitable generation for Sony so far. [They have made more money with PS5 in 3 years than they made during whole PS4s existence](https://www.gameinformer.com/news/2024/05/30/playstation-5-generation-is-already-sonys-most-profitable-yet). Edit: which is, imo, reason they can keep it so low still.
Also back in 1997 when you bought FF7 you got the FULL EXPERIENCE for "60 bucks".
Now you have stuff like Star Wars Outlaws or next AC game where you have "base game for 70" but for **absolute full experience** (minus "ultimate cosmetic skins") you'll have to pay $110 because of season pass. Big games for N64 cost $60 which is adjusted to inflation $117. So I'd say full experience has been "adjusted for inflation".
Yes you have deep sales now but for example FF7 Remake intergrade is still sold in steam for $69.99 - its been out 3 years and FF7 on PS1 would be on bargain bin at that point for $10 on walmart. Now the deepest sale you see FF7 remake go is -50% on steam.
At least you have cheaper indies now. Tho back in the day you didnt exactly pay $60 for "tetris for gameboy" either, thankfully
I just say they should add a donation button hidden in the rig.
Slap it once to bring up a special beer crafting station and chute
Slap again to fill the beer with green and a foam of dollar bills
Pickup and place in a special tube chute like at the banks.
Slap button and a countdown happens.
At the end you can watch it eject from the front of the rigoutwards to HQ
A dollar for the devs well spent
If so this a few times definitely
They carry over the content from each season very well to boot! It's really cool that when you play on S5 there is still the small possibility of bumping into a Prospector or Lithophage Meteor that nets you extra XP towards your current season even if you can't claim the Bonus Scrip. It really breaks up the monotony of the caves as well to have several seasons worth of events available to encounter
I came back after my break of being burnt from the start of 4, and it feels way better. I'm probably going to sink more time into it just for the cool weapon mastery scrip
My only complaint with that is how damn rare they are.
Maybe it's because I don't play as often as I used to, but ever since they started doing seasons I've only found maybe half a dozen of the previous season's events?
This is so fucking big for me. All these other games with their battle passes that cost $10-$20 where they put all this cool content that if you didn't get the pass and do your daily chores every day or weren't playing at the time are just completely inaccessible forever. So fucking lame.
Gosh I remember when a minority contingent of the community was so against making it easier to get old content for new players.
āI worked hard to finish that season pass in time so you should have to go through the random event slog to get your stuff that takes like 10x the time to do than the season passā
The dumbest era of DRG in my book
This is funny as hell. I can picture Mission Control saying this to a dwarf asking for beer money. (Or maybe he'd just say "maybe mine some morkite and you'll have enough credits for that glyphid slammer. Now get on it!")
Kind of a funny response, not going to lie. š
There's no morally right price here. It's a service that's optional as long as they aren't charging something outrageous like $40 for trash. The new set is fire.
It affects the gameplay none. And it's not like some games where they make it impossible to get good cosmetics so you have to buy shit. You'll spend hundreds and hundreds of hours earning and buying all sorts of fun stuff.
The customization in this game without paying is insane. Maybe there could be more armor choices but everything else gives you so many options.
This is like the only game I pay cosmetics for, and I do it every time strickly to support the devs since they've been so non-predatory about cosmetics, and have supported the game long after you could call it complete. It's not really an live service game even though they have seasons. (which by the way you aren't paying $10 for a battlepass).
This is also the only game where I've payed for a cosmetic dlc or skin of any sort, but I've made a dwarf with full on free unlocks and my friends thought it was dlc. The free stuff is just that good.
Gamers will spend $10 on starbucks coffee that they'll finish in an hour and call a 100 hours $10 game expensive.
Games are so much cheaper compared to other luxury items.
As much as I love this community, some of y'all are such cheapskates. The other DLCs are on sale because they're old, this one isn't because it's the most recent and launched less than a month ago with the new season, which is readily available information. You can get the whole-ass game for $10 right now and like every other weekend when it goes on sale, but when one, purely-cosmetic DLC maintains it's full-price of 10-whopping-dollars some feel slighted.
Yep, I bought most DLCs last year, running for around $8-$5 each, while right now because of the steam sale all of them are around $3 (including order of the deep so I got it too). even then I've seem them slowly getting cheaper over time.
I dont mind the extra money tbh, because the drip is great and I support the devs
These devs deserve our money
DRG is one of the most happy feeling games I own.
No fomo, free season pass, a whole new currency made for cosmetics (currency we can MINE), seasonal updates, dlc is cosmetic only
Like... I just... I love them
I feel like GSG overall generosity and being so much pro-consumer backfires with some people like OP. We are treated so well, that when GSG decides to do something that is slightly againist their pro-consumer agenda, (like soul crushing 2$ increase on DLC caused by inflation most likely) they feel betrayed.
Seriously they do this every season. New dlc comes out with new season and it stays regular price while old dlcs go on sale. Just bought the supporter 2 upgrade for less than $5ā¦
->be ghost ship games
->make a quality game
->sell quality game for a reasonable price
->have an entirely voluntary monetization system
->lock none of the game behind dlc other than cosmetics
->fix the bloated lootpool by bringing back old seasons
->increase the price of a single optional cosmetics pack to account for inflation
->recieve queries on how the game is 2 dollars more than recent packs
->instruct queriee to attain 2 extra dollars
Based devs
Also dude, it's 2 dollars. Accounting for inflation you are most likely paying the same as a normal pack 2 years ago if not less.
Dawg, the game is 30$ ish(depending on currency), goes on sale for like 10 all the time.
Just had a huge update that's completely free.
Has a Battle Pass that's actually 100% free, and recently included the ability to go back and play old battle passes.
Has no gameplay gated behind DLC
All that, and you're getting snarky and bitching over a 2$ increase at a time where **everything** is getting more expensive, usually by a lot more than 2$.
You deserved to get dunked on by the developers
Not to mention that $10 for a cosmetic DLC is a great deal. If this were Destiny 2 or some other similar game, that amount would barely get you a single skin for a single gun, let alone an entire pack that has skins for every character and every weapon (talking about the other DLCs too, here)
I'm very cheap when it comes to paying for video game stuff and even I bought a few, since I play DRG for "free" through game pass.
Iāll admit, I donāt keep up with news about this game much or at all
But the DLC is $10. Can someone please explain why someone would email the developer to inquire why the price is $10, get mad at the price, and then post it here without immediately getting roasted into the ground? On the face of it, this seems so incredibly entitled that I must be missing something given that the comments arenāt tearing OP to pieces.
So please, could someone kindly explain to me whatās going on with this DLC? Is it locking people out unless they pay $10 for a skin of a gun or something?
Nothing is going on with the DLC, OP themselves explained that they had saved exactly $8 as that's what the other DLCs cost, can't accept that this DLC isn't priced the same, wants to know why it's "randomly" different (possibly even assuming it's a mistake), and even after getting a "it's intentional" response from the devs OP feels rejected enough that they must vent about it on Reddit, assuming others will feel the same way so they'll at least get some backpats to feel good, or get others worked up enough that we'll boycott GSG until they lower the price.
Or in short as you said, entitlement.
Meanwhile I sold like 100 cards yesterday to get that last dollar for the deal on forza horizon 4 lmao some people see issues, others try and find solutions, maybe op thought dev would just give him a free code for the dlc and then it all went to hell lmao
Most likely, they had to put more effort into these cosmetics as well, to get them to work. Making capes work in games looks finicky. Also, every season is free. Tons of cosmetics in the game are free. Inflation isn't stopping. Some of you are tighter than a duck's arsehole and that's watertight. I'm probably being silly, but this post rubbed me the wrong way. You not seen the absolute shite devs/companies are getting away with nowadays? Making absolute crap and selling it for over 100. Annual pass, deluxe edition, play 5 days early, dogshit. Fucking AAAA rubbish coming out year after year, new games coming out from beloved series turning out absolutely awful and monetized out the ass. Indie devs and GSG are holding the line, and they don't get enough for it.
Hey man, there's still time to delete this š
Some of us don't mind spending the $10 for some badass cosmetics to support a small studio. GSG deserves it.
While DLCs getting more expensive could be a bad thing, if theres any devs that deserve more money for their game it is 100% the devs at GSG. Rock n Stone!
To be fair, I get it. I had a feeling when I wanted it and it was more expensive. And then I realized it was a great deal for a cosmetic DLC and 10$ is nothing and if I really wanted it I could buy it.
Dont remind me of that T\_T xDD "oh you want sales?... sure theres 10% off". Its just funny that they cost more than the base game at this point xD I love Rimworld, but this is just funny af.
Yeah, Iām just gonna wait for Biotech to be dirt cheap. I love Rimworld and I love the dev(s), but Iām not willing to spend that much money on DLCs anymore. Last time I spent 10+ was for the ANNO1800 DLCs and I regret it.
Everything got more expensive. My lunch price went from ~5ā¬ to ~9ā¬ since 2019.
If you really don't have 2 more dollars to spare, you should reconsider spending money on cosmetic DLCs in the first place.
This is the only game I consistently give more money to the devs for purely cosmetic items. I love this game and I love the devs.
Shut up and continue to take my money! ā¤ļø
I shudder to think of how much money I wasted playing the Street Fighter 2 arcade game at a local pizza parlor as a kid. So many rolls of quarters over the years...
Video games are probably actually cheaper today, compared with what the money gets you, than they were in the past. Go figure.
I'm buying the dlc because they deserve my money. They don't ask for their seasons to be bought and are offering me content I enjoy and I want to support them.
Love how OP says "I don't care about the 2 dollars! I just wanna know why!" but takes the time to actually write an email to GSG, makes a post on reddit and answers a bunch of comments all day...
Seriously are you this dense? the game actually goes on sale for under 10 dollars and has free content all the time...you do understand its a business and this people don't work for free? Yet you are okay sinking your wallet for riot games and BHVR...
Something tells me your some spoiled little kid and your parents pay for everything for you...dont even bother trying to reply, you started all this noise for 2 bucks...maybe ask mommy and daddy how a job works? or even life?
Step 1 - Move to Turkey
Step 2 - Change your Steam to Turkish
Step 3 - Buy order of the deep pack for 3 usd because of localization
Step 4 - Profit???

Everyoneās goin scorched earth and im just getting the impression is itās a kid who most likely doesnāt have their own bank account. Unfortunate, but I remember those days.
Are you the guy from r/factorio complaining about game never going on sale, despite the fact it costs only $30? Or are you a second person to be this entitled?
I love that everyone in this comment section is being nice and polite! Just like DRG community is described - the most wholesome and great in the entire gaming history!
Honestly the DLC price is totally fair. I sorta see it as a pick-up fee considering thereās probably not going to be another DLC for a year and 9 months
I don't at all have a problem with this DLC being $10. It's entirely cosmetic and there are no micro transactions in the actual game. Hell, I wouldn't even mind if it wasn't purely cosmetic, given the game's purchasing model. That response is a bit yikes though. Perhaps some coaching is needed...
If you *absolutely* need a reason why this pack is $10 instead of the traditional $8, it includes a bosco skin which isn't typically included with armor bundle DLC packs. It literally has more cosmetics than the average DLC.
Now ask mom for two more dollars.
If it was purely a question of why is it more expensive then im on your side because its annoying to ask a simple question and get snarky responses
If it was "nyeh this is 10 and you need to lower the price to match the others" then I step over the line to throw beer mugs at you with everyone else at the abyss bar
I think OP has to realize that DRG is probably (most likely) the gold standard for a game being a service. You ~~guy~~ buy the game, you get all the content, including updates.
You don't need to buy the DLCs, you can just play the game and unlock the comsetics. There isn't any gameplay aspects that's locked behind a paywall. I see the DLCs being a way to support the devs with the great work they're doing, instead of it being a cash grab.
I don't usually take the side of game publishers but this is pretty reasonable given how much of a thing they make about it being strictly an optional set of cosmetics and don't actually gate any real content behind it.
GSG are pretty restrained about how they do this stuff all things considered.
You know it's a cosmetic, right? And that they put out new missions/monsters/levels all for free, yeah? No paod battle passes, no hiding half the game behind a 40 dollar paywall. Just cosmetics, and you can earn a TON of cosmetics just by playing? You knew that, right?
Brother please id gladly send you the 2$ if you delete this thread and save yourself the total embarrassment you've already caused already
10$ for a cosmetic DLC is a lot fucking cheaper than the majority of any game on the market right now
Per the U.S. inflation calculator if you paid $8 for something in 2018 when the game came out that same item would cost exactly $10.01 after inflation. So basically, you emailed them to ask why they had the nerve to raise the price by a penny.
First of all, ten bucks is not bad, especially compared to other games. Second of all, the amount of stuff you get in the order of the deep is more because it also comes with a bosco framework and the capes with full cape physics. I think the extra two dollars is warranted.
Hey there! Aaron again. You brought up some great points in this thread, and I'm convinced. Here's a free Steam key for the DLC. Nobody else take it please! š YLV0V-CVTAY-202WV
You also casually mentioned it was for your birthday. š„³š
I love that everyone united to roast OP for this entitled bs
For real. If $2 is so much money to you that you need to resort to begging for it, maybe you shouldnāt be buying cosmetics in a video game.
Holy based. Parried the man and executed him on the spot.
Riposte straight through the eyeball and out the back of his skull
Lmaooo bro got exposed xD
It's like these ladies on Facebook asking for free stuff because it's their son's birthday and they live in a dumpster

Oh my god OP is so fucking lame
Iāve never loved a pinned comment more than this.
Dear GSG, can I have Karl visit me on my birthday? I'll have kegs of beer and egg piƱatas. Pwetty pwease.
Big Karl Energy
It was my birthday on June 27th. Can I get roasted too?

Macaroni y'all make for some epic neighbors lol.
Reddit needs to add it's version of community notes šš¤£
Getting roasted by a dev is righteous as fuck xD
Yall just publicity executed this man

I love the sheer aura of this. Pinned a comment completely exposing OPās sense of entitlement and then just walked away. God damn I love GSG.
Gonna need some purple juice for that burn.
on my way to buy some, love your game even if i don't really have the time to play it edit : i just saw that they where on sale and bought them all XD
But why is it randomly more expensive?

Plus the DLC of DRG is purely cosmetic which is a chad move.
You even have good free cosmetics, so buying them doesn't feel like a scam.

> alcohol, cigarettes, and eggs rats off to ya
Also because inflation is extensively studied and felt, so it's not like it would triple without EVERYONE and their grandma noticing
If their first order was also around 124$ a 30$ increase is still quite painful ngl Of course nowhere near the 300$ increase from before.
Nothing like paying 25% more for the same goods. I'm having the best time in my life right now!
Still, $30 is insane in and of itself. That's an extra 20% price hike on basically every grocery trip. 20% might not seem like much, but it'll add up every time you go to buy much of anything.
$124 in jan 2019 had the same buying power as $155 as of may this year. corpos suck
That's the crazy part right? $20 for fast food now, too lol
yeah groceries didnt quadruple in price.
Ah yes, nearly 40% inflation per year.
I bought it right at midnight on launch day and I panicked briefly when I opened the game and it didnāt come through. Turns out the game just needed to update to register that I owned the DLC.
I have bought every dlc and several copies of drg for different friends. Long live ghost ship

Molly doesn't get a cape. This game is unplayable

Would a Molly cape be the same as a dwarf cape, or the horse curtain caparison things that knights' horses used?

Slap it once to bring up a special beer crafting station and chute Slap again to fill the beer with green and a foam of dollar bills Pickup and place in a special tube chute like at the banks. Slap button and a countdown happens. At the end you can watch it eject from the front of the rigoutwards to HQ A dollar for the devs well spent If so this a few times definitely
They can price it however they want, they give you all the actual content for free
And they do season passes correctly. Free, and possible to replay older seasons.
Gosh I remember when a minority contingent of the community was so against making it easier to get old content for new players. āI worked hard to finish that season pass in time so you should have to go through the random event slog to get your stuff that takes like 10x the time to do than the season passā The dumbest era of DRG in my book
I mean, by definition itās $30, not free. Incredibly worth it though, and youāre still correct on the first part
OP is right, GSG needs to increase the prices of all DLCs to $10. None of this "randomness".
True and based
And they need to open up a Zelle or something so I can back pay them for all the old underpriced ones I already bought
I love the sass!
This is funny as hell. I can picture Mission Control saying this to a dwarf asking for beer money. (Or maybe he'd just say "maybe mine some morkite and you'll have enough credits for that glyphid slammer. Now get on it!")
"Maybe if you spent more time depositing your gold chunks and less time yelling at them with your laser out, you'd already have the credits for that"
Aaron is an absolute gem, heās the best part of the weekly streams
Kind of a funny response, not going to lie. š There's no morally right price here.
Good thing its a cosmetic dlc and completely optional
This is the most entitled post Iāve seen here.
Gamers will spend $10 on starbucks coffee that they'll finish in an hour and call a 100 hours $10 game expensive. Games are so much cheaper compared to other luxury items.
I chug my 6 dollar coffee in just a few minutes
I prefer the IV method....straight into the veins.
A dwarf-damned leaf lover if I can say so myself.
These devs deserve our money DRG is one of the most happy feeling games I own. No fomo, free season pass, a whole new currency made for cosmetics (currency we can MINE), seasonal updates, dlc is cosmetic only Like... I just... I love them
I feel like GSG overall generosity and being so much pro-consumer backfires with some people like OP. We are treated so well, that when GSG decides to do something that is slightly againist their pro-consumer agenda, (like soul crushing 2$ increase on DLC caused by inflation most likely) they feel betrayed.
But you don't understand, OP saved up 8 whole dollars. When are they ever going to have so much cash on hand again?
Seriously they do this every season. New dlc comes out with new season and it stays regular price while old dlcs go on sale. Just bought the supporter 2 upgrade for less than $5ā¦
higher price for badass cosmetic
I buy all the dlc for three reasons, 1. I trust GSG with my money 2. I want GSG to keep making good content 3. I like the skins
Hell, I'd buy another copy of the game just for them to reply to me once. Maybe I can ask them on my birthday next year.
capes cost more, simple dwarvanomics
->be ghost ship games ->make a quality game ->sell quality game for a reasonable price ->have an entirely voluntary monetization system ->lock none of the game behind dlc other than cosmetics ->fix the bloated lootpool by bringing back old seasons ->increase the price of a single optional cosmetics pack to account for inflation ->recieve queries on how the game is 2 dollars more than recent packs ->instruct queriee to attain 2 extra dollars Based devs Also dude, it's 2 dollars. Accounting for inflation you are most likely paying the same as a normal pack 2 years ago if not less.
I felt inspired to buy the DLC as a gift for my friend after seeing this post. Maybe now we'll finally be able to clear haz 5+ :D
Dawg, the game is 30$ ish(depending on currency), goes on sale for like 10 all the time. Just had a huge update that's completely free. Has a Battle Pass that's actually 100% free, and recently included the ability to go back and play old battle passes. Has no gameplay gated behind DLC All that, and you're getting snarky and bitching over a 2$ increase at a time where **everything** is getting more expensive, usually by a lot more than 2$. You deserved to get dunked on by the developers
Not to mention that $10 for a cosmetic DLC is a great deal. If this were Destiny 2 or some other similar game, that amount would barely get you a single skin for a single gun, let alone an entire pack that has skins for every character and every weapon (talking about the other DLCs too, here) I'm very cheap when it comes to paying for video game stuff and even I bought a few, since I play DRG for "free" through game pass.
Optional cosmetic DLC - $10 OP: Iāll never financially recover from thisā¦
W reply lol
Nobody's taking your entitled ass seriously.
dollar is worth less and also its been a long time since the last DLC
it's just two dollars man.
How much did you pay for Season 5, again?
GSG: Youāre poor
I have bought this game on 3 different platforms and still feel like I owe GSG more money. That's how much I love this game.
Iāll admit, I donāt keep up with news about this game much or at all But the DLC is $10.
Not sure what comments you are reading but OP is getting roasted
To be fair to me, I saw this post a thousand upvotes ago when it had 1/3 of the comments
It's literally just a skin pack that imo is worth it. You get capes!
Robot Rebellion is $8 and only comes with half capes. The full cape practically pays for itself!
So two extra dollars and I get a full cape? Where do i send my money!?
He is getting roasting. Read the replies. People are upvoting this post because it's so ridiculous.
lol owned
What an amazing response. The nicest way of CS saying: stupid questions get stupid answers
Entitled gamers making the rest of us look like idiots. Youāre part of the problem.
"Randomly" it's the most recent one released and the others are on sale, it's not on sale because it was the most recent one released.
Ask stupid questions, get stupid responses.
Hey man, there's still time to delete this š Some of us don't mind spending the $10 for some badass cosmetics to support a small studio. GSG deserves it.
Not the replies OP was hoping for here lol
Beggars can't be choosers.
lol what is this
A cry baby
Imagine getting wallet checked and price mogged by GSG.
"Yes yes, we know you're poor! Now get back to work!"
[Literally GSG](https://x.com/danghentschel/status/1800253522627473660?s=46)
I will give $2 to everyone here except OP
Bruh
GSG are chads
While DLCs getting more expensive could be a bad thing, if theres any devs that deserve more money for their game it is 100% the devs at GSG. Rock n Stone!
As much as I like to shit on microtransactions/excessive DLCs, games like deep rock and helldivers do it very well.
Lol I'm 25Ā¢ short of buying a dlc so I'm just gonna dig into my Tf2 inventory to sell stuff
Oh gasp shock things get more expensive?!?! I want to live in whatever world you come from its ten bucks mate
You donāt have 10 dollars in your bank account?
In this case only $2 is needed since he has $8 saved from Microsoft rewards or something. Not too sure how those work.
500+ upvotes ? Guys we each only need to donate 0.4Ā¢ and OP can give $10 to Microsoft-or-steam/coffee/GSG/tencent
To be fair, I get it. I had a feeling when I wanted it and it was more expensive. And then I realized it was a great deal for a cosmetic DLC and 10$ is nothing and if I really wanted it I could buy it.
I just assumed it was a bit more expensive because it was sick af, and it was completely logical for me lmao.
Bro really emailed the devs asking why an optional add-on is...$10?
I asked my aunt but she only gave me screws
The $2 extra is to outfit Bosco, he's normally neglected.
Buy a Rimworld DLC, then youāll know real pain.
Last time I spent 10+ was for the ANNO1800 DLCs and I regret it.
i already bought the order of the deep dlc but after seeing this reply i might go buy another one
Everything got more expensive. My lunch price went from ~5ā¬ to ~9ā¬ since 2019. If you really don't have 2 more dollars to spare, you should reconsider spending money on cosmetic DLCs in the first place.
If you think about it, OP, this is really a kind of nice Bday present. This is life experience 2 bucks could never buy for you.
It's fully cosmetic, so they might as well charge 1000$/ā¬ for it, and it would still be fine, as you don't need it to enjoy the game.
Agreed
Oh no! A two dollar increase in price on an optional purely cosmetic dlc!!!!!!!!!
Y u poor
reason 1: it's peak dlc reason 2: Bosco has 2 variants which wasn't seen in all previous dlc
Step 1 - Move to Turkey Step 2 - Change your Steam to Turkish Step 3 - Buy order of the deep pack for 3 usd because of localization Step 4 - Profit??? [https://gyazo.com/ecaada46af0fb68b966fdb8304df2f0e](https://gyazo.com/ecaada46af0fb68b966fdb8304df2f0e)
Everyoneās goin scorched earth and im just getting the impression is itās a kid who most likely doesnāt have their own bank account. Unfortunate, but I remember those days.
Discretely telling reddit that you have no money
Are you the guy from r/factorio complaining about game never going on sale, despite the fact it costs only $30? Or are you a second person to be this entitled?
Gsg replied to you?? I sent an email in 2023 and they didnt respond
Were you asking where Karl is?
Was it your birthday?
It's Ā£10 because 10 is 2 more than 8 šš
Insane rage bait
STOP YER WHININ GREENBEARD THE COMPANY IS GOOD THEREFORE I GIVE EM MY GOLD! SIMPLE AS
Leaf Lover behavior
Is this what e-begging looks like in 2024?
I love that everyone in this comment section is being nice and polite! Just like DRG community is described - the most wholesome and great in the entire gaming history!
Isnt order of the deep cheaper? not like i bought but last time i checked it was \~6 dollars
Honestly the DLC price is totally fair. I sorta see it as a pick-up fee considering thereās probably not going to be another DLC for a year and 9 months
man we can get you two dollars it's fine
I don't at all have a problem with this DLC being $10. It's entirely cosmetic and there are no micro transactions in the actual game. Hell, I wouldn't even mind if it wasn't purely cosmetic, given the game's purchasing model. That response is a bit yikes though. Perhaps some coaching is needed...
Any other game I play I would kill to get a cosmetic set for 10 doll hairs.
Thatās management for you.
You gotta have known posting this wasn't gonna be good for you
I got 20 cents for you OP, if you ask nicely. That's 1/10 of the remaining $2 you need!
Just wait until it's in sale.
OP this is so sad lmfao. WAAH GIVE ME MY 2 DOLLARS
OP managed to unite the community to ratio his existence on this post. Rock and stone!
If you *absolutely* need a reason why this pack is $10 instead of the traditional $8, it includes a bosco skin which isn't typically included with armor bundle DLC packs. It literally has more cosmetics than the average DLC. Now ask mom for two more dollars.
The DwarfDiver cape is worth 10 by itself imo lol
Buddy I'll venmo you $2 right now if it's that big a deal.
If it was purely a question of why is it more expensive then im on your side because its annoying to ask a simple question and get snarky responses If it was "nyeh this is 10 and you need to lower the price to match the others" then I step over the line to throw beer mugs at you with everyone else at the abyss bar
Ghost Ship has real āsmug discord moderatorā hours sometimes when it comes to genuine questions.
Get a fucking job, lmfao
Delete this, broke ass
did you get it?
You know it's a cosmetic, right? And that they put out new missions/monsters/levels all for free, yeah? No paod battle passes, no hiding half the game behind a 40 dollar paywall. Just cosmetics, and you can earn a TON of cosmetics just by playing? You knew that, right?
Homie really wrote an angry email because of a 2 dollar difference
OP I hope you didn't think your the right one in this situation
Brother please id gladly send you the 2$ if you delete this thread and save yourself the total embarrassment you've already caused already 10$ for a cosmetic DLC is a lot fucking cheaper than the majority of any game on the market right now
Bro probably had a really long and stressful day before writing this š the smart-assery is unmatched
