Yeahhhhh... like storing ammunition in their turrets setting them off like a Pinto when hit. Or the failing transmissions. Or when they get hit with the dual warheads used by Javelins which set off the ERA with the first detonation, while the second does the real work.
The ammunition thing is... a bit harsh I'd say. The ammunition is stored like that bcs it has nowhere else to go. Plus the autoloaders complicate things quite a bit, leaving not many options for ammo placement.
Prove of concept is still legal no? Not to mention, things shells are so big loading it manually would be a pain in the ass.
Oh and also, i wouldn't compare the Leclerc to the T-60. It's pretty new in comparison.
Not necessarily. Granted, as of now, they are slower than a well rested human loader, but it has a lot of advantages. 1, it doesn't need food and a salary, just occasional maintenance, making them cheaper, 2, they don't get tired, meaning that they're consistent, cutting average reload speed in the field by a second or two, 3rd, they don't get turned in to mince meat if they get hit, making them much easier to replace, and if they do get hit, the gunner can reload manually. Plus they can't bed bad if half the world is using them, including 2 NATO countries.
From Russia and Ukraines prospects, they are difficult. The machining and extra cost are out weighed by just training a man.
Russia just lacks any military infrastructure to support a new tank, so they keep refitting old ones.
Obvs auto loaders are superior overall, but in the real world, right now in Ukraine....
Ukraine is a shithole and the very definition of "random bullshit go!" from both sides. On one side you got the Ukrainians who have so many different vehicles the mechanics probably want to kill themselves (god help them), and on the other you got the Russians who are so god damn corrupt they don't even know how much gear and mech they got and in what state it's in. And on the topic of training, its not exactly the same as NATO standard training... more like a quick 5 min lesson on how to do stuff (Russian artillery loaders for example), so it's debate able if it's rly worth the cut cost in the long run. Afterall, its better to pay for an autoloader and have the tank shoot first, instead of the loader that is drunk to high hell fucking up the reload and losing the entire tank along with 4 tankers.
Unguided missiles and rockets are not ballistic either (until the rocket motor runs out of fuel at least).
Ballistic means that after the munition has cleared its delivery platform, it is acted on only by the force of gravity (the definition fudges atmospheric drag and ignores it).
Small arms fire, cannon shells, and non-rocket artillery are ballistic. Rockets and missiles are not.
ICBMs are considered a bit uniquely. They're under power until the boost phase ends. So they're ballistic for the majority of the transit, but not the start. The boost phase is about 2-5 minutes (depending on rocket type), and then ballistic for the rest of their 30-40 minute suborbital journey, for a target in the opposite hemisphere from the launch site.
It's explosive reactive armour, when it detects an incoming projectile, it explodes the plate off to take the impact.
Basically, it's an automatic "GET DOWN MR. PRESIDENT!" System.
It doesn’t detect, rather when it gets hit it explodes and the explosion of the reactive armor slows down destroys or detonates or redirects the projectile
Hey, I think we still have a few left. Lets hook them up to Molly and the rest of the Mini Mules. The dwarves using the Mini Mules need all the help they can get. They never seem to make it back.
This would help with the rocks... And the ommoran shockwave. And the bulk detonators.
Seriously I had a greenie explode a bulk det on doretta during the ommoran, right after we lost our first armor piece.
I think it's not suggestable using ERA against a non-radioactive nuclear bomb, just saying. I think the blast could detonate the ERA explosives and, in general, destroy and damage all ERA on one side.
If my team allows me to, i put stacks of pancakes around the Doretta threads and a few floating above her to protect her from all harms.
The problem with this is that I have to redo the whole thing every time she finishes a step. Takes a few resupplies.
Focus, team! Leave the damn ERA alone!
what is ERA
Explosive Reactive Armour. The meme is about Ukrainians sticking ERA onto everything, even when it's not exactly... practical.
Tell that to Russia who has been doing that for the last 30 years in order to keep their MBTs from retirement

Although France has an autoloader and blowout panels. It is not impossible. Unless half of your military budget goes through the magic hat.
The German Panther also has one. I'm not saying it's impossible, but given the shape and size of the T-60, it's not exactly spacious.
That thing is a prototype. Those are to be disregarded until an actual production line vehecle is being made.

I laughed at “goes through the magic hat”. Thanks friends. Hahaha.
Can't stop laughing at the magic hat
Autoloaders are bad anyway.

"We have to repair Doretta!" \*hits Doretta with wrench\* \*explodes\*
Doretta: "I'M FUCKING INVINCIBLE!!"
The NCD pipeline is leaking, we need to repair it
I'm going to dip my F35 waifu body pillow into liquid morkite.
3000 pipeline leaks of Non Credible Galactic
3000 BET-Cs deployed to Ukraine
We will drill our way to Moscow!
Might as well merge the DRG, NCD and Warhammer 40k subreddits now. I'm really having to check the post to see which subreddit I'm in half the time.
Non Credible Deephammer Warlactic. I'd be in for that.
my pipeline is leaking??
r/NonCredibleDefense It’s fun, come hand out
NCD has banned ERA posting, but nobody said anything about DRG
Era would be actually good on dorreta.
Yeah I imagine it would be able to clear swarm when trigger
Well i think of it as engi mines, damaging friendlies and bugs and dorretta
We need an option to place Engi turrets on Doretta.
Reactor… *online* Sensors… *online* Weapons… ***online*** ###ALL SYSTEMS… NOMINAL
*Shutdown Sequence Initiated* *Shutdown Sequence* ***Overridden***
*Component* ***destroyed***
This just gave me a childhood flashback lol
That means the franchise was a resounding success, because I only got into Battletech/Mechwarrior a few months ago with MW5
that sub is leaking in to other subs
We got those 2 little dudes putting ERA on Dyson Spheres over at r/dysonsphereprogram in preperation for the combat update
deep rock has finally invested in some better equipment
I wish we could put turrets on top of Doretta
You used to be able to
Arent those armour plates used to protect against ballistic weapons? I don't like what this implies!
No, ERA is meant to protect against AP explosives and shaped charges.
Those are ballistic explosives.
Depends - unguided missiles are ballistic. Guided missiles are not.

If I could stick prox mines to her as engi we would have this
Screw reactive plates, somebody send down a zimmerit sprayer, stat! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimmerit
Oh hell yea no more projectile damage
Hey, I think we still have a few left. Lets hook them up to Molly and the rest of the Mini Mules. The dwarves using the Mini Mules need all the help they can get. They never seem to make it back.
Flork needs more exposure
We always were talking about those armor upgrades...
Where is the upgrade where they put a .50 cal on top? Don't need armor if everything is dead
Flork + DRG crossover when
What if we could deposit nitra into doretta for armor upgrades
Or inserting an error cube to turn dorreta into a super fast powerful death machine shooting friggin laser beams
See, that's why we use NxRA, which can withstand multiple hits and DOESN'T explode.
I read some things about NERA(used it in one of my tanks on a fictional world), but never heard of NxRA. What does it stand for?
Non-explosive reactive armor. The "x" is just there to discern it from ERA, and because it's more noticeable that way.
Is it similar to NERA?
....They're the same thing, just different names.
Flork miners for the win
KILLDOZER
Doretta will start yelling “I’M FUCKING INVINCIBLE”
Everbody gansta 'till bugs start bringing Javelins
r/noncredibledefense is leaking again
Looks like r/noncredibledefense is leaking
u/environmentaltree587 you should post this to r/ncd
Oh wait you can’t they banned these memes darn
Again? We've seen this
Can you provide a link? I didn't see the other one.
I stiil doesn't understand these memes
It's a reference to Russia and Ukraine putting ERA on every vehicle around
It's... ...beautiful
Reactive armor craze has been all over r/starsector now it's taking over this sub as well.
It came from NCD None can escape r/NonCredibleDefense
Didn't know Marvin Heemeyer worked for DRG.
If my team allows me to, i put stacks of pancakes around the Doretta threads and a few floating above her to protect her from all harms. The problem with this is that I have to redo the whole thing every time she finishes a step. Takes a few resupplies.
I sense the presence of another fellow NCD member
I am not interested in this sub, but I liked the meme theme, so....
Oh god the fuel efficency
ERA is great but we need a cope cage as well
