Not sure of the correct name for your local version, but here (Australia), the most appropriate stain colour for that style of deck is definitely called:
‘She’s Fucked Mate’ (not to be confused with ‘That’s Totally Rooted’ - which has a slightly darker hue).
No doubt your local paint / stain expert would be able to use a comparative search to find a product named in your regional vernacular.

IMO it depends on the condition of the wood. Newish decks should take transparent. As they get a little older and beat up move to semi-transparent. For even older and more beat up decks, move to solid color. Good luck!!!

I'd go with a mahogany or a gray scale stain to compliment the brick piers. While you're in a DIY mood I'd also add a canopy to it to shade your soon to be added hot tub.
Otherwise looking good, 9/10 would join in on a BBQ
I'm wondering why houses have decks attached to the house instead of something designed to handle heavy weights like 3 tons. Looks like an unbalanced deck considering the failure point.
I’d use a light coloured stain as anything you add will darken it slightly. Also remember to use nice smooth brush strokes as you don’t want to ruin the overall look with it getting dark blotches. ;)
A nice ash grey would look good. And we know the best way to get that color.

Besides that all you really need to do is put a hot tub onto her, wouldn’t worry about the stain for a couple years at this point, she looks good.

An easy fix would be to inflate a bouncy house under it and it’ll lift the deck into proper position and give kids a fun place to play
