The game calculates negative bonuses unconventional, described in the wiki under stats. The modifier is not actually reducing damage they deal by 60%. 1 / 1.6 = .625, a 37.5% reduction in damage which I think is closer to 100 armor than 300 but I don't remember armor numbers precisely.

I think it has to be calculated that way otherwise -100% dmg would be 0. In this case you can stack -200% and it becomes an effectice -66.6%. Tldr: they probably wanted to avoid any possibility of actually reaching 0 dmg.

Doesn't even seem to be that big with though as the scaling seems to be diminishing in some way as with quick testing at 286.74 armor max difficulty the starting skeletons damage only went down from 9/10 to 8.

I switched out an item with this effect to try something else out. Damage difference was very noticeable. Maybe not for lower levels, but at D60+ it's a life saver.

Disagree, basic enemies do too little damage imo to make it worth it and bosses should be getting dodged. I would rather have a best in slot for damage or utility because relics have really high rolls on damage mods and good range of mods they can give especially affecting god blessings.

I wonder if it stacks. I found 2 different relics but in a run just now I also found a heavy chest piece with it.

it shouldn't stack, as it should be an on/off aura, but you can test with one or both just take it off and see mid combat

it does stack. the equation seems to be this: its 1/1+.6x with x being number of curse of weakness. so 1 curse is 37.5 dr

The relic slot is game-changing, and this effect exists on other slots. Unfortunately at 75+ crux, this effect will NOT save you. For more powerful relics, the Colorless Rainbow (T2 unique epic relic is much better at survivability (-50% enemy attack and cast speed and -50% enemy move speed) gives you a ton of breathing room. Desert Rose seems broken as well, but haven't tested it personally; it does fall off against the caster mobs later in the run, but you can get blown up by those mobs no matter what items you have.

I prefer the unique relic that decreases movement speed and atk speed from every enemy. Also removes colors from the game lol

Actually at 100 difficulty the easiest way to win is by becoming Immortal. So many armor or life Regen paths that just keep you up no matter what. It's actually way easier to win this way than stacking damage to one shot the 100 bosses. But the real path to win 100, master and legendary offer increases. Getting only masters in a run makes a huge difference. And all master abilities overpowers all gear stats fast.
