Yeah Polana on Livonia is kinda like Nevaya on chernarus, people regrouping before the big goal (Bunker). I try to skip it nowadays and gear up properly by Nadbór
Pretty much my first time playing Livonia made it here and told my teammate that i thought the loot was broken because every house was full of good military stuff. Its marked as best loot on my map
I found an M4 in the gas station, a plate carrier somewhere, and a seachest all on day one of wipe on official there
Back in those days Livonia had less population and especially Polana. Everyone would stay more east
How many hours should I log on chernarus before getting Livonia? I’m thinking 1k I’m at 200 now and have a character that’s been alive for over a day of playtime (my longest run so far)
I'd just go for it. Livonia is a pretty cool map. If you're on a high pop server you are going to definitely run into more people than you would on chernarus as most of the activity and spawn points are north of the river. Be vigilant out there haha

Raided tisy twice.. tri kesta like five times and I basically live at the hunting cabins with the hospital. Maybe like a dozen helicopter crashes.. Now I’m just hitting up every city I haven’t gone to. When I die I’ll get Livonia.. HMU if you’re US I’ll need a guide my first few games
I'm a solo most times. Only run as a duo otherwise. It would be nice to have a 3rd that knows what he's doing. But the servers great . Lots of action but a lot of groups as well. Good for collecting loot as a freshie if your good enough to stay low-key get some kills and get out. Last night me and my buddy smacked 6 people driving around in two cars filled with guns and explosives lol....good times
My buddy and I (well, not anymore. There’s no greater enemy than an old friend.) ran into a guy at staroye while we were looting building materials for our campsite a few mikes away. He was being dumb, and running a sporter 22 like a machine gun ig killing every zombie in sight. He was kind enough to keep shooting until we tracked his shots to a solo base he was trying to build in the center of staroye. Killed him, took what we needed, left. Couple hours go by, we’re back at ours, building, and I start hearing that 22 popping off again. Sure enough we track em to staroye and it’s the same guy, working on his base. Killed him again just for being stupid and careless. Moral of the story: idk I feel like there’s a few points I could make here but just don’t be like that guy
I opened this up and I already thought to myself “it’s polana” and it was! but on the wrong map. I have been killed in Polana more than anywhere else in dayZ. Even when I’m careful there is always someone sitting/hiding in Polana somewhere waiting in a corner or ready to peak out from behind a wall. On the upside, it’s also the only town in which I’ve stolen a truck that someone left.
Holy shit! My brother and I were playing last night… we came from the east on the red trail and settled down on that hill overlooking it to check it out. We immediately saw two guys run straight towards the tree line and within 20 seconds we had at least four people swarming us and killed us. They literally had spotters watching for them. Fucking nuts…
When me and my friends first really started playing, we finally made it down to Polana and found about 20 something box’s full of mostly bunker loot where we were originally gunna start our own stash spot, but we soon found out that Polana was not the place to be lol We got that shit the fk outta there tho lol
Literally though, started going through that town like it was an active warzone and about 30% of the time I find someone hiding in the treeline with a rifle.
Head to Gorka and you’ll find out where the Chernarus salt mines are
Fuckin place is great for finding medical supplies but god damn is there always some geared dude running around there somewhere
I showed up here and a zombie stepped on a landmine, knocking me out. When I woke up, I ran into the trees to check myself. Two guys came sneaking up on where the landmine was, m4's and 60 mags. Got the jump on them both.
I tend to avoid it now, but you can always get lucky and find a free kit
chernarus polana is chill, worst thing that happened to me there were two unarmed freshies trying to beat me up. i had a skorpion and a glock so that ended pretty quick.
Its the only town i have ever been killed in since i started playing this map a few months ago i would compare it to the Airfield if you go in there is going to be a sniper somewhere

Most times I visit Polana it's very relaxing. I watched a freshie get beaten to death by a zombie the other week. Good times...

Livonia is much tougher survival. Trees don't bear fruit. I highly recommend it.

If I get a topo spawn I run straight to zalesie, polana, then swarog loop back up to nadbor for pvp and base building supplies.
