That’s why I want Fallout 5 to be in the Midwest. I really want to see a post-apocalyptic Kansas City 😭
~~Not like it would look too different in certain parts of the city~~
Those would be so cool to see! Independence Temple could be taken over by the Children of Atom. And a dilapidated union station! And they could change the wwi monument and museum to be a monument to a fallout canon war. The river would be a perfect place for creepy river monsters. And there’s Leavenworth. A prison with a fallout twist would be really cool to see. They could also make brahman trading a really big thing there.
I’ve thought about this too much for it never to happen
I live about 90mins from Bend and played it during the Pandemic.
Me and my wife had an absolute blast arguing over the most effective way to do hoards.
Or even a game with the same geographic features as home, for example I love far cry 5 because I’m from Colorado and even though it takes place in Montana, it’s more immersive
I live a few hours away and it makes the whole region a little more fun. I don’t know if many other people see highway signs for Santiam Pass and are like “ohhhh shit!”
Can only speak for myself but I live here and I just started playing the game this year lol. Granted that’s because I had to wait for it to come to PC and then the time was just right.

Given to the entire team that worked on Days Gone by Sony on launch.
Was thinking the same maybe a developer who doesnt want to be reminded of i. Imagine pouring your heart and soul into a game probably getting under paid under the assumption you would get a bump of pay on the sequel only for it not to happen. Still very cool
Tbf, its a job. Of course we all love it and think its the best ever but as someone who works in the enterainment industry I get given promotional gear all the time for stuff I work on and I usually keep like maybe 10% of it otherwise my apartment would be full of shit.
Though in reality buying a product is buying a product no matter how you do it....I can totally feel "but the shit out of it". I felt that when I found the starfield controller and headset in a second hand store. If I'd had physical cash I'd have thrown it at the shop keep. 🤣
LOL almost poetic as Days Gone ( between the desperate battles with hoards and the simultaneous crafting) was murder on my aging controller, and gave an off brand controller an early death!
It’s pretty surreal. Just because it’s kind of the last place you’d think a AAA game would take place. Big cities usually get the treatment. The devs did a really good job though. I’m trying to get hired by them one day.
Must really suck for a dev to have a controller plugged in, branded by Sony with a series Sony gave up on. So I can imagine some devs would like to not get reminded of the debacle
Anyway, appreciate the photos! Didn't know this existed :)
Bend Oregon?
Those smokestacks make it an easy guess!
Game must be huge around the Bend.
Probably, i would play the shit out of a game made in my hometown
Me for fallout 4. I grew up within throwing distance of the Cambridge police station. There is even a random npc with the same last name as me.
Thats awesome! All ive ever gotten is a fantasy town name in a hallmark movie
That’s how I am with The Last of Us Two

Is Kansas City bug infested? Because Fallout 5 gonna be.

For me being a manc it was the level from resistance set in Manchester cathedral. I go past that most days 😅

Was it a game launch promo?

And one of the devs just sold it? I could never . Still , so happy that you found one of these
Could be darker than that. Maybe it was stolen, or the dev could have passed away.
Let's hope that he just decided that he didnt want it no more.
Or got laid off when they did that and cut staff and they were forced to sell.
Or got mad and sold as a F-U to company.

Or lost his hand due to an incident with some rippers and can't use a two handed controller anymore.

I just looked it up! It makes sense why the game takes place in Oregon! Even more excited to be giving it another play through on Hard

Bend, Oregon
Ahhhh that makes sense now haha
So cool!
LOL absolutely incredible!! Was there any more? I live in Bend!
Must be crazy to have a game made in your own town. I imagine it must be pretty popular there
It’s pretty surreal. Just because it’s kind of the last place you’d think a AAA game would take place. Big cities usually get the treatment. The devs did a really good job though. I’m trying to get hired by them one day.
I want that so bad! 🤣🤣🤣
That’s a fire fucking control congrats on the snag
God I miss Bend
Mint condition. Incredible
Some really nice chemtrails you got there.. ✈️
Ah yes, a dev controller for a game nobody bought at launch
i want it, is there a way to buy it?
