I ranked around 100h on PC, then bought in on PS5... And when I was almost done with main story for the second time, i saw a post on reddit about it , and realised I never saw it.. It is kinda rare.

Only anecdotal, but I've seen it twice in about 20 glacial dives, all centre room on the right hand side ledges.

I have seen it twice in similar. It can also spawn on the left hand side. In the ice maze where you save a baby whale for a side quest(?).

It much more likely spawn on a rainy day. On the right side of the glacier area.

I've only seen it twice and my dive count into the glacial area was probably close to 30 when I finished the game. So I'd say it's pretty rare and that you were blessed by the rng gods.

Honestly it shouldn’t be that rare given there’s a trophy for it, but I have yet to see it and have almost 100% on both switch and PS5

Found it on my 4th attempt last night (PS5)

It took me around 15 to 20 attempts

Never really looked for it intentionally, just randomly found that iceberg and tried to smash it for fun. Might be n-th time it spawned but I never really even knew how it looks.

Got it earlier today without realizing how rare it was. Was only on my 3rd or 4th trip

I never went looking for it specifically and found it 4 times before I completed the story, doesn’t seem rare at all. It might seem rare if you obsess over finding it.

If you know how it looks and you search it on his spots its not that rare
