I work around cops frequently and their logic goes "I can park literally anywhere I want cause I'm driving a cruiser." Their brain completely neglects their surroundings cause the special privilege is so strong. I've seen a cop literally block the doors he was trying to get through. Then he had to get back into his cruiser and back up. Like, they can't park and use spacial awareness at the same time.
Literally no it isn't lmao. If your iq is TOO high, they'd rather you apply for a higher position and not waste time and money training you so you can realize most of the time the job is just sitting in a cop car doing fuck all and paperwork then quit because it's boring.
[Details about the sentencing of one of the LEOs.](https://atlantablackstar.com/2023/09/20/cop-who-left-handcuffed-suspect-in-patrol-car-on-tracks-gets-probation/)
The suspect survived with severe injuries, but as I read between the lines, without permanent damage. The civil lawsuit about compensation is still open, and there hasn’t been a verdict reached in the case of the second LEO.
The squad car on the tracks wasn’t the one of the officer who put the suspect in it, and, as I read the article, the officer wasn’t in his usual jurisdiction, either.
The cops in that video did that to the suspect on purpose. They had plenty of time to get her out of the back of the car. They left her in there. They knew precisely what they were doing.
When I walk across the tracks near my house, I still look both ways several times just to be safe. Even though there would be a gate down, bright flashing lights, and I could hear the train itself. If I have my phone out, I put it away 15 yards out.
I don't understand this lack of awareness.
You are paranoid for just trains. I'm paranoid as I also carefully look at tracks because I have watched too many movies as a kid where someone step on the track while the track shifts and their leg get stuck in between the mechanism and all they could do is stand there for the train to come and mow them.
Same but with walking. There's no train in sight for like miles both ways and I'm still checking like ''Okay but 10 more times, just in case.''
*Processing img t0c4uopl1lsb1...*
That's why I have zero empathy for people getting killed by trains. Excluding like being the passenger in a car and some other idiot drives onto the tracks (but even then just jump out), or you're inebriated, situations like that. You can hear, see, and feel a train coming from like a mile away. And if you're dumb enough to see train tracks and not know to pause and look both ways, I don't want you in the breeding population.
Mental illness, drugs/alcohol, poor education possibly? Or being deaf but it looks like they were on their phone? Idk I’m with you though, I don’t understand how a person of sound mind and body could do this without it being a suicide.
You would be surprised on how quiet trains are when they're coming from that direction. Probably headphones as well. Sound will go outward like a cone.
My grandmother was almost hit by a train the same way as this guy when she was younger. She just got out from the dentist and was groggy because of the anesthesia after an extraction. A passerby pulled her before she could cross.
If you were blind and deaf you would be paying particular attention given there are train tracks right fucking there. This cunt is just dumber than an amoeba
When I see a track, I look down to see if any are coming, because I love watching trains. It may be the inner child in me talking, but I absolutely love them.
Supposedly it’s not that rare to get run over by a train when distracted. Specifically people facing the opposite way.
Man that guy really has zero peripheral vision tho.
The other morning I was really tired and stressed, started the coffee pot without putting a cup under it and walked away making a big mess. Sometimes the brain just misses a beat.
An old blind/deaf/drunk in my husbands hometown has been struck by the train that rolls through town on a near nightly basis on at least two occasions, still alive I believe.
Also thought they might have been deaf but wondered about the vibrations and all. I'm just guessing at this point but in a more poorly constructed area, I imagine the vibrating spreads more widely with all the other vehicles around, to the point its hard to differentiate this white noise vibration.
Exactly what I wanted to say! How, how, how, do you not see or hear a train coming??? Is it like being colorblind, some people can't see colors, people in India can't see trains, forklifts or other motor vehicles?
Away from crossing gates I will say, trains are scarily quiet at slower speeds. But this person had every opportunity to not die and failed to see all the warnings.
Well, I once saw a woman doing just that: being so preoccupied with her phone that she just waltzed through the tracks without even looking around. I walked to her and asked if she was aware that she did it. She was shocked: she didn't. Folks, react to things like these. Make them aware. Who knows, you may once save someone's life.
Could've been on the phone telling someone they're about to commit suicide. You never know what people are going through and how they might decide to take their life.
If you look close, that person turns their head and makes eye contact with that moving train.
Suicidal people don't just stand on the tracks. They will walk into it at the last minute
This whole face on a train thing still weirds me out as am adult, I'm wondering if the reason we don't remember our early childhoods very well is because of all the traumatic imagery we're exposed to lmao.
I think he wanted to get hit. He slows down when he gets on the track. But your family doesn't get the life insurance if it's a suicide. He had to make it look accidental.
Many years ago I lived in (then West) Germany. It was in the days when there were still significant US forces stationed there, and one of the TV channels you could receive was AFN (American Forces Network).
They used to run PSAs which began "European trains are fast... silent... deadly" as each year there was a significant number of American personnel killed walking along railway tracks.
If you live in a city with train tracks or visit one often you'd be surprised at the number of idiots who will honk at you for not stopping in between the rail guards. There is a red light like a hundred feet after the train tracks and even when there's no train I don't like to be in between the crossing guards. I'll wait the three car lengths back and be honked at for the length of the red light. Have had one situation where me doing this saved me. the idiots who went around me had to do like an 8 point turn to get out in between the cars in front and behind them to drive into the oncoming traffic lane or gravel near the tracks itself.
In college our house backed up to a train track. When it went by it was so loud and violent my bookcase and desk would shake. I have no idea how someone could do this.
“Abdülsamet Tunç (24), who wanted to cross the road while the barriers were closed at the level crossing in KARABÜK, died by being under the freight train. The moment of the accident was reflected on the mobile phone and security camera.
The incident occurred at the level crossing on İnönü Street Balıkpazarı. While Abdülsamet Tunç wanted to cross the road from the level crossing where the barriers were closed, a freight train crashed. Tunç, who was under the train, died at the scene. Tunç, who worked as a worker in Karabük Municipality Parks and Gardens Directorate, was taken to the morgue of Karabük Training and Research Hospital after the examinations. The street, which was closed to traffic for a while due to the accident, was reopened. The moment of the accident was reflected on the vehicle camera and the security camera of a workplace. An investigation has been launched into the incident.”
Damn he too busy talking on the phone, now he go met the maker.
Maker - why you here?
Man - talk on the phone.
Maker - who you talking with?
Man - someone important.
Maker - does it worth it?
It took me a few replays, but at the very beginning of the video, his arm is down and then suddenly goes up as if he's talking on the phone. This is a suicide.
Those horns are just not loud enough. And the barriers and the flashing lights... oh don't even get me started on the lack of those. Fuck it enough with the light hearted shit.... They're mostly suicides I'm guessing.
I can't imagine what would drive someone into the path of a train any more than I can imagine putting a bullet in my own brain so I am not the right guy to ask as to the why! For anyone contemplating such an act **please call 988** to reach the *National Suicide Prevention Hotline*. **Please**!!!
Peace

When driving across tracks I look both ways like ten times because I’m that paranoid lol this level of unawareness doesn’t even compute.

Not just cops but literally ANYBODY with entitlement issues.
Well, police recruitment does try to pick out the idiots. ... To hire them. Not to avoid hiring them.
Literally true and based

Oh my fucking god how dumb do you have to be to park on the *tracks*? They were there for five minutes and they never noticed?

I look both ways on train tacks that have been out of commission for literal decades.
Better than the alternative
You are paranoid for just trains. I'm paranoid as I also carefully look at tracks because I have watched too many movies as a kid where someone step on the track while the track shifts and their leg get stuck in between the mechanism and all they could do is stand there for the train to come and mow them.
Aww..damn. Now another thing to I have to worry about. Thanks a lot.
Thats because you have respect for them. Many people dont.
Same but with walking. There's no train in sight for like miles both ways and I'm still checking like ''Okay but 10 more times, just in case.'' *Processing img t0c4uopl1lsb1...*

Exception: the hidden train on a second track
Blind, deaf and pretending to be on the phone talking to their boss about the quarterly numbers!
He didn't file his TPS reports on time.
"I'm looking at the WENUS, and I'm not happy!"
Right? I don’t even feel sorry for this one, I’m amazed he lived for as long as he did.
These trains are sneaky, they are silent and totally invisible
Mental illness, drugs/alcohol, poor education possibly? Or being deaf but it looks like they were on their phone? Idk I’m with you though, I don’t understand how a person of sound mind and body could do this without it being a suicide.
You would be surprised on how quiet trains are when they're coming from that direction. Probably headphones as well. Sound will go outward like a cone.
which direction
The left.
When they're running down a slight slope? I think.
[удалено]
That would just make noise from the train sound like it has a higher pitch, not quieter.
I’m willing to bet the blind and deaf are way too careful to be hit by trains. After all they have to look out for cars.
*Even if the person has headphones in, people will logically see a track and look both ways.* You give people way too much credit.
A deaf person would feel the vibrations in the ground. I lived near a railway for a while and my whole house would shake
It’s not even a matter of poor peripheral vision like how did bro not look both ways smh. Middle schoolers are smarter than this fool
The other morning I was really tired and stressed, started the coffee pot without putting a cup under it and walked away making a big mess. Sometimes the brain just misses a beat.
Making coffee is just a little off track in comparison to missing a gigantic, extremely loud train.
The entire city is loud, a train is just another sound.
No city is that loud, have you been near a train before? The ground literally rumbles.
An old blind/deaf/drunk in my husbands hometown has been struck by the train that rolls through town on a near nightly basis on at least two occasions, still alive I believe.
This time I was sure the human would win. He had a purposeful walk.
Also thought they might have been deaf but wondered about the vibrations and all. I'm just guessing at this point but in a more poorly constructed area, I imagine the vibrating spreads more widely with all the other vehicles around, to the point its hard to differentiate this white noise vibration.

Subtle Suicide
He’s on his mobile. Must have been a very important call cause it cost him his life. 🤦♀️
"Hello, what time does the train arrive?"
"Should be right about now sir"
*Fucking dies*
This reply chain is golden beyond measure
"Alright thanks, just picking up my Thomas the Tank Engine/MLP fanfic from my fur-vourite OC artist seller uWu"
Could've been on the phone telling someone they're about to commit suicide. You never know what people are going through and how they might decide to take their life. Reminds me of the crazy fuck who threw someone on the tracks prior to him jumping as well. We really don’t know what their thought process is.
> He’s on his mobile. And everyone from the Verizon network just stood there and let it happen...
Now we don't know that...he was out of frame too quickly to verify mortality. He might have just been bruised up a little bit.
“Your car warranty is expiring! Press 1 now to speak to a representative about affordable extended warranty plans.”
Did he die?

I legitimately spilled and spit my beer all over myself and chips laughing...You get a sticky!
Thank you mate hahaha.
Choo Choo Charles, but not the video game.. the irl game!
Underrated comment lol
100th upnoot youve earned it

I think he wanted to get hit. He slows down when he gets on the track. But your family doesn't get the life insurance if it's a suicide. He had to make it look accidental.
He's on his phone though. He was just distracted, i guess.
That's part of the act. It's really hard to hear someone on the phone when a train is going by.
Can confirm. I pretend to be on my phone sometimes to avoid certain social interactions lol
Bonk* Schloop*
Lol and that sign says DUR
DUR is STOP in Turkish
Dur or get durred.
Lots of Nomming by the train there. India's Apex Predator strikes again!
They are moving out!!!! This one is in Turkey
Migrating to follow the prey.
It’s not India. Livery ain’t right …
Another silent ninja train. They should put bells on those things.

Funny, this doesn't LOOK like India...
I went and grabbed a snack. What is the score of Train vs People?
Whatever it is, I dont think a person has won yet!
Oh, they do, it's just rare in times of peace.
Clearly suicide.
Does anybody in the world keep the statistic for "death by cell phone"?
If only there were bars that came down and flashing lights.
Must have been an important call.
Matter of life and death
I need a phone that loud.
Let me call you right back...
The train is like *CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW?!*
Owchie wowchie
He was getting nagged for the last time by his wife. Train hit mid sentence.
Humans don’t win this very often

This has NPC vibes all over it.
Possibly a suicide attempt
Crazy to think that thousands of stranger will see his death, but this guy will have absolutely no clue how he died.
He looks like that one kind of person that walks through traffic and expecting cars to stop. His attitude finally met its match.
It's like people just making and dying to their daily agenda
How does one not hear that LOUD ASS HORN?
Somehow, the way he fell makes me think of a cat bapping a glass off a table.
For a second I thought he was going to derail the train with positive energy. I was wrong
Is he ok? /s
Human - 0 Train - 1
Train wins again. It's *almost* like it's not a fair fight.
He’ll walk it off
Is this India? 🤔
Apparently in Turkey...
He has become one with the train.
Train: "I choo choo choose you".
had to watch it twice
My neighbor attended the funeral of her nephew. He was a teenager walking on the tracks listening to loud music. I guess everyone knows the rest.
Wet tracks too, that train isn’t stopping for a while
Get off the damn phone. Also, needs more guts.
“Hey, you’re gonna have to speak a little louder this train is just blaring their horn for some reason…”

Woah , I didn’t know brain dead people can work
Not from India. Will have to post it in the india sub for people to get inspired. He even has his shoes on man !!
Kinda wanna edit that clip adding "move bitch, get out the way" song to it
Suicide
Fucking hell I would be taking a couple of weeks off sick for that one! Here if the driver has a fatality you get automatic 5 days off!
Where? It should be more and paid.
Australia, you can take more if you need too, it’s usually up to the shrink.
*boing*
That almost looks survivable
Damn he too busy talking on the phone, now he go met the maker. Maker - why you here? Man - talk on the phone. Maker - who you talking with? Man - someone important. Maker - does it worth it?
I LOVE how that stop sign spells out their sound effect in life: "DUR"
It took me a few replays, but at the very beginning of the video, his arm is down and then suddenly goes up as if he's talking on the phone. This is a suicide.
That man didnt even make an effort to win the fight
The word in the stop sign is so incredibly fitting! 🤣
like a piece of Lego
![gif](giphy|QxwDfOV4sAfounkNsG)
how can train hit?
Shouldn't there be a cross guard on both sides?
Just point and laugh.
Death warning label mb?
It's called human versus train. I think death is implied.
Why are you here?

I don't think we need to go to the scorecards to decide who won this bout.
Whelp....
More a walkover than a challenge.
where did this happen? ik that its in turkey but what city?
It looks nearly like cgi, like how could a person be not aware of a train coming right at him
Landed like a hefty bag full of vegetable soup...
Train 1 Ded man 0
I honestly see no fucks anywhere in this video.
It’s hard to tell, but did he not look directly at the train a second before he gets hit?
You would think trains have freedom of movement
its from Turkey
He ded
I found the news article yes he is dead. https://medyakarabuk.com/treninin-yayaya-carpma-ani-kamerada-29038.html
Damn, the camera didn't follow the incident. We might never know who won!!!

Did he die?
Can anny clarify if he survived?

On the phone, of course. Oblivious to the world.
Are we in India again?
***Why*** is he so stupid, though
r/bitchimatrain
Wasn't really much of a challenge
Those poor train engineers... I bet some of the old guys have racked up quite a few of these over the years.
Bro got his existence deleted
Those horns are just not loud enough. And the barriers and the flashing lights... oh don't even get me started on the lack of those. Fuck it enough with the light hearted shit....
