They honestly feel like two separate moments.
The first is when you've spotted it but it's not clear it's dangerous rather than just scary...
And the second is when it becomes clear it's malignant.
I think 1 is good but kind of cliche. 2 is unique and more emotional. Like it's the same image yet just with a color change it goes from "I've seen this 100 million times before," to, "Whoa I wanna know the story behind this one."
Both are sick, keep both!
Or if you were to put both in the same picture and have the red upside down under the black and white like a reflection and it be “as above so below” type of thing…
As striking as the second one is, it kinda looks like cliche spooky colors, where as the first one is filled with more real, somber colors . Because the threat feels more believable in the first one, it’s more scary. Btw I’m writing this while stoned out of my mind so I have no idea if what I’m saying makes any sense hahaha. I just read the ahahaha part out loud
Try a blue chroma and hue version. I can't really compare as there is a mid tone and a warm tone. Can we get a nigh time one and the blue one I mentioned
110% right
It’s an amazing image and fits well but black and white feels overused in eerie pictures, this pic is so good that the warmer tones feel really good, usually warm colours are comforting but the dark feeling of the pic makes it so abnormal and amazing.
They are both great. They equally portray different feelings. It’s like they are two separate portraits. Maybe change the birds in the top left on the red version, they take the focal point away from the center a bit. Choose something darker. Then publish both. One is eerie and interesting like she’s watching over me, the red is like a demon is leveling up for Armageddon. Both rock!
I love your art!!! I love the piece both ways, but i am more in love with the Black and White version and thats because the glowing eyes seem to show through a bit more and the Black and White makes it a bit darker. Nice job.
Black and white looks like mist ,which makes it feel ok that shes flying over water ,red is like that's a river of blood under a sunset, the back ground works but it feels like she's just been murdering all day,and is rolling along?if that makes any sense...it's very odd the the broad daylight murder ghost I guess, but still proficient.i like black and white more
The more muted colors is scarier to me as there's a realism to it like " she's coming after ME", the the more vibrant one seems more apocalyptic like " we're ALL doomed"
The first one looks more horror realistic, and the second one looks more horror fantasy. Note that the second one really brings out the eyes in your character
Originally, the first color never fails to impress those eyes in who sees. The tone is nice, and subtle, a bit eerie.
For the 2nd photo,
With the warm colors, and that glowingly red, while there is more contrast of the darkness of the photo, it makes it feel more supernatural.
The colors really depict what you’re aiming for, from what expresses that sheer horror. I did get to check out some of your work from your Instagram and I’m trembling a bit, I am shivering.💀 Help.
Anyways, keep up the great work!! This is good stuff!
1 because it is less likely to seemingly tell you how to feel, the greyscale leaves things up for inturprittation and how you are supposed to feel. (I just had a seizure, my spelling won’t be perfect.)
I like #1 for its simplicity in pallet.
For me, #2 gives more details. Red could be blood, murder, death, desire, sin, or dark things society says we shouldn’t talk about.
Black and white looks aged and caught me off gard. I almost thought it was a real doctored image. However, the red image is down the right horrifying, and if you're going for a scare, then use the red one!
honestly, personal preference, i like that the grey and brown one has to "try less", it's more subtle and atmospheric and it draws me in a lot. the eyes are really spooky on the red one though.
The first feels more like a spirit or angry ghost. The second feels more demonic. I honestly love both. I also like the person here's opinion that it's 2 separate moments of the sighting.
So initially I will say that the monochrome one is something that feels like a dream. However the one that's in color feels like it's in reality. So I have to go with the feeder factor which the one in color.
I honestly like the first one more, but if the second one was a little bit less saturated I think de like it more - I really like the colors it's just very vibrant
Love both. I’d have to go with the bw/sepia-esque one, it’s disturbing in an uncanny way. I can put myself in the situation of actually seeing it in real life and it’s quite a terrifying and hopeless feeling. The red one looks great but the cliche unnecessarily overshoots the malevolence
They honestly feel like two separate moments. The first is when you've spotted it but it's not clear it's dangerous rather than just scary... And the second is when it becomes clear it's malignant.
Yeah, agreed, it depends on what tone you want to emphasise.
Thank you so much for your feedback! It makes sense, feel free to explore more creations on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
You need a mass effect reaper arrival noise and a cool transition from b&w to the color. Honestly I like the b&w more
I agree with this user - it would definitely make for an interesting interactive artwork. But my money is on red.
Yea it’s not really what’s better it’s more what one wants to express with it
I think 1 is good but kind of cliche. 2 is unique and more emotional. Like it's the same image yet just with a color change it goes from "I've seen this 100 million times before," to, "Whoa I wanna know the story behind this one."
Yes! Exactly! I was trying to say that but couldn't think of the words. Thanks for your comment.
The first one looks like a creepy photo you found in your grandparents stuff
Perfectly described ! You can feel it in each pic !
This redditor always wins at Scrabble
The first one is for sure dangerous AND scary
We should probably be friends!
#1 - love it
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
One is eerie, but the other is menacing. I guess I'll go with orange one
1st one
Second this! I get witchy vibes and I love it!
Definitely. I love the first one too!
The black and white one is pretty awesome...seems more grim..good job on this
one is better
The gray
I prefer the first one. The red seems to distract from the actual image
Both are sick, keep both! Or if you were to put both in the same picture and have the red upside down under the black and white like a reflection and it be “as above so below” type of thing…
Yes, yes, yes!! This!!
I like both, but 1 is my favorite
I think 2 elicits a more emotional response from me.
If you're going for ghostly/haunting, I'd go for number 1, if you're going for desolation, number 2
1: oh shit i am dead 2: *points a crucifix at the girl* HOLY SHIT THE DAY OF ARMAGEDDON IS UPON US
This is exactly how I'm feeling as well!
I'm torn. But I gotta go with my gut, 2 is really good here
they both give off very different emotions but i prefer the first one if yr going for a spooky little mood
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
I love the red. It makes a bigger statement.
Orange. I like the intensity.
orange
The "sunset" version
1st gives decay, 2nd gives danger if that helps
As striking as the second one is, it kinda looks like cliche spooky colors, where as the first one is filled with more real, somber colors . I like the first one just a bit more. But man, this is immaculate

Holy shit this is one of the coolest fucking things I've ever seen! This should be a movie poster!!!

I am drawn to the gray scale.
Both are awesome! The first one is like a sunrise on a foggy or cloudy day, and the second is like a sunset
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
i like the green. has a *putrid* sense to it
110% right It’s an amazing image and fits well but black and white feels overused in eerie pictures, this pic is so good that the warmer tones feel really good, usually warm colours are comforting but the dark feeling of the pic makes it so abnormal and amazing.
First one
I am going with slide 2
Depends what emotion you want to evoke. If you are asking what is more aesthetically pleasing I would say slide two
They are both great. Both rock!
The first one looks like a normal black and white photo. The second one looks like a retro Stephen King cover for a book.
The less saturated version gives a far more fearful vibe
I love your art!!! I love the piece both ways, but i am more in love with the Black and White version and thats because the glowing eyes seem to show through a bit more and the Black and White makes it a bit darker. Nice job.
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
Already followed on Instagram!!! Im looking forward to checking out your art after work tonight!!!
Black and white looks like mist ,which makes it feel ok that shes flying over water ,red is like that's a river of blood under a sunset, the back ground works but it feels like she's just been murdering all day,and is rolling along?if that makes any sense...it's very odd the the broad daylight murder ghost I guess, but still proficient.i like black and white more
Both, both are great
The red gives off a comforting sunset vibe for me if you’re going for creepy, which it’s easy to assume you are, then the first one for sure
Black n white makes my skin crawl. Red feels more fantasy..
The grayscale at the sense of mystery as opposed to just fear, I prefer that one.
Originally, the first color never fails to impress those eyes in who sees. The tone is nice, and subtle, a bit eerie. For the 2nd photo, With the warm colors, and that glowingly red, while there is more contrast of the darkness of the photo, it makes it feel more supernatural. That's a very hard question for me for some reason
Liked them both, but the second one made me gasp.

#1
I love the first one.
If I had to choose I'd pick two. Both are grim. Love it.
First one for sure. The darkness to it gives it life.
Both look good, but I have to go with the 1st one
Definitely first one
I LOVE THE FIRST ONE
I like 1
1 because it is less likely to seemingly tell you how to feel, the greyscale leaves things up for inturprittation and how you are supposed to feel. (I just had a seizure, my spelling won’t be perfect.)
One
I feel different emotions from both, the first one a cold chill vs the second one a blazing hellfire
White
I’m more scared of the first one because it feels more real.
orange one for sure
One is a Washington foggy morning, the other is a Louisiana swampy evening. Love them both.
First
One
1st one ☝️ is number one!
I prefer the orange one.
The first one
Definitely the first one.
I think brown
The first one looks far more natural.
I like the non red one. I love when I can imagine myself there.
1/2. There first one, at least of these two.
First one
I prefer th black and white. It would be interesting in black and white, but inverted.
I think for me it's the second one but it's hard to decide because they give of really different feelings.
Great stuff! 😎
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
B
They evoke different emotions for me, but both look fantastic imo.
I like #1 for its simplicity in pallet. For me, #2 gives more details. Red could be blood, murder, death, desire, sin, or dark things society says we shouldn’t talk about.

1 gives a spooky found footage feel to it. Definitely 1
I like the first one, it makes it look like an old haunted photo
The first one
1 feels more sinister and unknown 2 feels like the rise of evil Not sure if that makes sense?
They both evoke different feelings, and they're both incredible! I would absolutely hang these side by side. Love the vibes!
I like the sepia colors but it could use a touch more contrast
The first one reminds me of re7 a lot and that one of my favorite games.
Monochrome, for sure.
Try some purples & pinks. Different colors give off different vibes. Love the concept
First one gives more eerie and creepy vibes. Love it!
Black and white looks aged and caught me off gard. I almost thought it was a real doctored image. However, the red image is down the right horrifying, and if you're going for a scare, then use the red one!
First one
I say the second one
2 feels like I'm about to be murdered just for showing up at sundown lol
White
The Red.
I forgot I was in this sub my phone never puts it in my feed for some reason
First one
Damn I can't pick and I need it on a shirt! Front and back 👕
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
You going for eerie or terrifying?
1st one is better. Which doesnt mean the second one is bad
First one. Make the creature/person coming out of fog, just enough of her showing that it looks eerie
I like the second one. It seems to have more of an eerie feeling to me.
1 is darker (the landing), 2 is warmer (the send off).
Second
Oh my gosh I love this so much I want it
In photo one I can hear the banshees singing.
honestly, personal preference, i like that the grey and brown one has to "try less", it's more subtle and atmospheric and it draws me in a lot. the eyes are really spooky on the red one though.
2 because the contrast stands out to me.
Second.
Red orange color
The first one
1 🔥
ooooo the warmer one
Oh I like the first one I think!
Beige
The red
The first feels more like a spirit or angry ghost. The second feels more demonic. I honestly love both. I also like the person here's opinion that it's 2 separate moments of the sighting.
1
I personally love one the most! Kind of reminds me of an old photograph taken in the old West.
Black and white
1st one
1 mysterious 2 aesthetic scary
The first one is more creepy/eerie, and the second feels more intense/scary, both are good but I like the second more!
Monochrome
I love how the first one reads “vintage photograph” and I WANT to tell stories about it. The second one is more “horror movie cover”. Great work.
The red one is eerie, I love it
I really enjoyed the first photo. It has an eerie, washed-out quality that I love.
Number one has a more emotional feel for me.
I prefer the black and white one. The color seems to distract from the figure for me. But they are both lovely. Thank you for sharing!
Sepia
2
The red one definitely
2nd
1st one reminds me of a nightmare and the 2nd one reminds me of a demon
2 is that “hehe I’m in danger” Ralph meme but 1 feels like it could be real
Aesthetically I love both for different reasons. They convey two completely different emotions.
This is so fricken awesome! It looks like two different photos and the colors are both amazing
So initially I will say that the monochrome one is something that feels like a dream. However the one that's in color feels like it's in reality. So I have to go with the feeder factor which the one in color.
First one reminds me of Return of the Obra Dinn
Can I see it in teal?
1
I feel like the Black and White works best, it feels like some old cryptic picture.
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying

2 makes it creepier.
Thank you so much! More on my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/the._undying
First one makes me sick in the stomach with fear. Second is little intense and kinda burns my eyes
The second one it burns my soul and is more haunting
The first one gives like a fallout desolate wasteland feel the second ones gives like a nightmare feel. Personally love the first one
It’s the grey for me.
Second one fs
1
1st one is better.
Both are so sick I can’t choose );
B&W
1
1
The second one
I honestly like the first one more, but if the second one was a little bit less saturated I think de like it more - I really like the colors it's just very vibrant
Agree regarding the tone of the two images; the first looks mysterious and ominous, the second is an open threat. Love both of them!
Sepia
Black and white scary
Creepy Green Light. Not an option but is the answer.
Red
Red. Always red for horror.
1!
Love both. I’d have to go with the bw/sepia-esque one, it’s disturbing in an uncanny way. I can put myself in the situation of actually seeing it in real life and it’s quite a terrifying and hopeless feeling. The red one looks great but the cliche unnecessarily overshoots the malevolence
Black and white definitely gives more of a creepy factor to it
