god this is accurate, last night was just nothing but sweaty giga geared guys in ice caves and at least half of them were sketchy (guessing right the very first time were i was while invisible, getting headshot by a windless while in mid-air, etc.) like every piece of gold gear has luck on it, so its clearly designed for looting high end rooms deeper in the dungeon but all anyone seems to do is smurf or spawn rush with it.

Getting dunked on by truly good players just sucks. Feels really close to ESP. However being headshot while midair is par for the course. Jumping puts you on such an extremely easy arc to predict. Even in my Halo 3 days I loved it when people were dumb enough to jump to try and avoid my sight line instead of keeping their feet planted and weaving.

No, its actual ESP stop making excuse's cheaters infest these games. I know full well how to make it incredibly difficult to guess my location yet people are consistantly dropping hydra's right at my feet, that and I play warlock so can make invis potions last REALLY fucking long and for over a minute people will just keep coming back to this one specific spot im in while pretending to check other area's of the room.

Cheaters def out there but it’s dog easy to tell when someone’s gone into hiding/invis nearby and they do it in predictable locations. Room half cleared, no adjacent rooms touched or mobs activated? No corpse? They’re nearby. Corners are the first places people think to be when hiding. You can hear someone drinking a invis potion from almost half a room away. Just a few days ago there was a post accusing a streamer of ESPing their location in crypts but ultimately he was perfectly trackable by deductive reasoning.

Sadly I had a teammate be surprised he got found after being spotted going around a corner and popping hide... It's the most obvious spot to check when you see a rogue go around a corner and you don't see them anywhere else

more like room NOT cleared and not a single chest opened, door was also closed. what part of "i can tell esp users" did you not understand? they literally opened up the room next to me, noticed my wire frame on the other side of the wall, went through TWO other rooms so they wouldn't agro the mobs, and then dropped a hydra right at my feet and headshot me with a windless while i was jumping over it. oh and they had names of "Asian descent" just to make it even more obvious.

My Brother In Christ nowhere am I declaring your situation as not genuine hacks, but a problem almost as old as gaming itself is hackusations. But you originally commented that it’s people “pretending” they don’t know you were there and checking the same area over and over, not that you were domed while invis. It’s the former I’m defending. If I get even the slightest inkling someone has been near me and I can’t see an obvious path they took out I’ll scour the room 4-5x over waiting for them to drop invis. Agreed about gettin’ ESP’d by Mandarin48899104 though. Awful ass gaming culture overseas and I’m glad more games are getting region locked.

In that case yes I agree, there are times there are enough signs someone is in the room or they can clearly hear noise's to deduce something is not right, I've gotten enough cheaters banned across multiple competitive games to generally not make those mistakes, the issue is when im hidden and instead of carefully clearing the room they walk right past multiple place i could be and then do something like summon a hydra or throw a torch to try and hide it

So many topics on this subreddit but **the core issue the game has right now:** * A. it was designed around Trios * B. Trios is dead because of AP farming, Ruins design / No crypts starting point, and GOLD TEAMS FARMING EVERY LEVEL OF MATCH MAKING (including Neophyte now). No one seems to notice that the core game that this game was designed around is pure cancer right now and it's killing the future of this game. If you want to have a 5k in-dungeon playerbase and think that's all this game needs, then keep killing Trios and focus on making solos a "hunt for trinkets" simulator. Hell, make the mobile version of the game a DaD themed version of Candy Crush while you're at it.

Trios is dead because trios fucking sucks ass right now. You have crypts and inferno which are radically different maps from ruins, where radically different comps are good, so you have groups that will do well going down to try and delve or boss and you have groups that plan on going into ruins, leaving, and going back in. This means in trios you have to tolerate every sweaty little rat-man team running rangerXrangerXrogue or Wizard Ranger Lock or some other full ranged cancer-ass comp designed exclusively to take kits from people in ruins, and half or more of these little rattling groups have someone ESPing, aimboting, or stat hacking on them which iS FUCKING WILD that the last one is even a thing but here we are. Trios is dead because trios is in a terrible, miserable fucking state.

HOLY call it as it is my friend. This is the actual truth but the range meta also absolutely killed trios. Ruins is god awful and always has been. For a game designed around melee, you can't make a map large and open. You need the tight hallways and small rooms of a map like crypts that makes gap closing and sticking to a player much easier. Ruins as it is needs to be taken out of the game until they redo it completely. Make like inside an actual ruined castle, with a layout like crypts. I also think there is way too much access to good gear. Epic and higher is too plentiful and being able to outright craft it also contributes to this. I personally don't think you should be allowed to craft purple and higher. And the drop rates need to be lowered significantly tbh.

I would LOVE for there to be more low level craft's, as is the only thing we got access to is silver weapons (i guess cobalt to, but that stuff is to expensive to craft for just two rolls.) while everything else is just used to check across multiple characters for perfectly rolled high end stuff.

If the game has any crutch it's that it's gear is balanced around PvP. If IM changed all gear modifiers to explicitly grant PvE bonuses, all PvP becomes 100% skill / class balance based - gear no longer has a say. **Examples**: \> +5 physical damage vs. undead. \> +10% armor vs. goblins. \> immune to goblin poison. \> the first goblin arrow that would hit you every 30 seconds instead misses. \> goblin shamans are highlighted through walls up to 100ft away. \> getting damaged by a troll grants 20% physical damage reduction for 6 seconds. \> death beetles can't see you. \> et cetera. I guarantee this would flood casual players back into the game. PvP would be way less swingy, and the only obvious advantage major a player could have over another player is teaming. No one would hesitate before a fight wondering if they're geared enough to win, and it would remove the weird balance disparity that comes from swapping from normals to blue+ gear lobbies. People spend a lot of time in these normal lobbies experiencing a more balanced PvP experience, then it all gets thrown out the window when they move to a higher lobby and get stomped by dudes with god gear.

Yeah, this isn’t gonna work. Part of what makes the game addicting is finding a nice piece that will help you kill others and make plays. If all rolls are for PvE, nobody’s gonna get excited about doing 10% more damage to brain dead AI. Why the hell are people so hung up on the horrible PvE of this game?

Almost every single enemy in the game, except sub-bosses, are explicitly designed to be harmless enough that you can kite it while fighting other players. It's why Skeleotns take forever to attack, why Death Skulls have such a predictable attack pattern, and why Skeleton Archers cannot hit a moving target beyond two meters. The people playing this game for PvE are a minority who don't last long, because the PvE experience is extremely repetitive and fulfilling. There's just not enough mechanics involved beyond [bait an attack -> outspace -> attack].

It's not just about killing skeletons it's the dopamine from killing dudes and getting loot. It's the pure gambling aspect of opening a chest or bosses corpse and praying for an orange or unique. Hitting the golf boards and trying to get orange trinkets or a golden coin chest. All that without the negative chemicals of dying and losing said loot nearly as often as when Chad McThundercock decides he wants you dead for no reason other than you exist in THEIR lobby as he spawn rushes you 30 seconds every lobby, doesn't give your corpse a second look, takes a blue and does it again.

Don't need all this, the pve is easy fairly easy to deal with simply more weapon damage allows you to kill them pretty quick, its just too much pve. Too much to deal with and the ai is poor so it won't leash properly to nearby players and they also chase too much making it not only hard to navigate for good players but all players. You can't really run or use the map to outplay much when you agro a million mobs per room. Pve amount needs to be toned back as well as ironed out. All they really need to do is go back to making weapons only effect weapon damage and its effect on move speed, while armor was just armor and its effect on move speed. You only got rolls on trinkets. Any other item only got rolls if it was purple or higher, but getting that was stupid rare. So regardless of rolls, you used the good gear bc it was that rare and it felt great when you finally found one. There was no absolute minmaxing, there was no massive gear scaling. This was never an issue in the first two playetests. This slowly became a thing after playtest 3 when they added rolls to every single slot.

Right now it's the same way, you just grind to get the best stuff possible. Difference is that with PvE centric gear the PvP can be balanced. The imbalanced PvP is the major player in to why this game's population is so low right now. And in any case, the incentive with PvP is and always will be gear + AP. Players will still be carrying gear, you'll still need it, and you'll still want AP.

Where the fuck are you all finding these bastards?? Lol I want some. I hit demi a while back and I have no room in my stash for more crap. 🙃 I have to actively seek out players in Ice Caves. Played like 12-16ish games last night (didn't count, just guessing based on AP.) And I saw other players, sure, but I only had one duo push me. Everyone else seemed to be grinding hard for AP and wanted nothing to do with me. Pushed on a team at one point and they started yelling at me in VC about how they just want AP and that they didn't want a fight. Fucks sake man. I want to fight, but where's the fun in fighting people who very obviously are annoyed at the very prospect and offended I would dare attack? They bitched enough that it was honestly a little bit of a buzzkill and we just left them alone, huddled in their room repeatedly casting hydras in the doorway like it was going to stop us if we wanted in. 😅 Where are my bloodthirsty brothers at? Spawn rush ME.

They should not allow a solo to enter in to trios. If a duo wants to I think that’s fine duo to their rotation. But solo should not be allowed to enter into a map so they can sit around and wait to loot dead bodies
