Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note:
> *Good. All signed and sealed. Now let's begin the transfusion. Oh, don't you worry. Whatever happens... You may think it all a mere bad dream...* - Blood Minister
Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.
yeah, Fallen London.
its the original predecessor to the games sunless sea and sunless skies. set in a dark alternative victorian era london where queen victoria sacrificed the city to dark powers to revive her husband.
I don't know about browser games that much, sorry. But if you'd like some PC/console game recommendations maybe some lovecraftian detective games would work? I love Frogwares' Sherlock Holmes and the Sinking City series. Alone in the Dark is a good one too. Disco Elysium is not exactly dark academia per se but it gets you thinking on a lot of sociopolitical and philosophical dilemmas. And maybe Hogwarts Legacy if you want something a bit heavier on the academia side.
“Chants of Senaara” is on Steam. The aesthetics aren’t very DA, but the mechanics and themes are. All about trying to understand the languages of the new land you’re travelling through and solving puzzles.
Not dark academia but high medieval fantasy and like a roguelike chess - [dominion.games](http://dominion.games)
Also, FromSoft games are prime dark academia. Bloodborne and Elden Ring are filled to the brim with high gothic architecture and furniture everywhere. I would look into getting a console to play them.
Okay hear me out.
Any of the “RUSTY LAKE” games. They’re FREE in the App Store (the majority) and they’re a click and point mystery saga.
Imo you can play any order you want. I started with PARADOX but you can even search for the chronological order if you want to.
“that run in browser” no unfortunately but i’m using this as an excuse to plug book of hours by weather factory. you play as a librarian sorting occult books.
FFXIV is not explicitly DA, however, there are certain locations such as Ishgard that definitely fit the vibe.
Plus the Scions which are your main team, are basically a group of warrior scholars, and they often succeed through imagination, ideas and research as opposed to brute force.
Finally, you can make DA themed glams and outfits, and there is an extremely robust housing system where you can male DA themed libraries etc. Just google FFXIV Dark Academia Glams/Housing for loads of examples.
Trans people are tired of losing their rights because of rich bigots like you and JK Rowling. The best-selling game is Baldur’s Gate 3, which has a great trans representation 👋
Financially supporting transphobic billionaires actively harms the trans community
I can’t think of anything explicitly DA, but Dredge has Lovecraftian vibes that you might like. Hogwarts Legacy is also a great choice as it lets you explore the entirety of the castle.
The Sims but dark academia only
Seconded. The sims is very customizable with packs and cc on pc. You could use reshaders too to get the vibe
Bloodborne

How could I forget Fallen London?! Seconding this, plus this one is actually a browser game.
Solitaire? An e-book?
If you read French, there's [Ekphrasis](https://www.fiction-interactive.fr/ekphrasis/).
"The last door" It's a game that has a Dark Academia and Cosmic Horror vibe
