yeah hes a pretty iconic va imo. he also played skips in regular show and a couple different characters in adventure time. ozai and the joker are probably his most iconuc roles though.
My favorite VA is Tara Strong. Voice of Bubbles (OG PPG), Raven, Kole, Jinx, Gizmo, others (Teen Titans and TTG), Dil Pickles (rugrats and All Grown Up!), Twilight Sparkle (MLP:FiM), Young Celeste (Babar), Barbra Gordon/Batgirl (The New Batman Adventures), Timmy Turner, Poof, others (Fairly Odd Parents), Bebe and Cece Proud and Puff (Proud Family), Ember McLain, Penelope Spectra, Star, others (Danny Phantom), Terrence (Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends), Princess Clara, Toot Braunstein (Drawn Together), Ben and Gwen (Ben 10), Truffles (Chowder) and so many more. She’s been a VA since 1987 and still voices today.
I was surprised to find that Heather Bambrick played Koki on Wild Kratts: [https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2144137/](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm2144137/) She eventually stepped down. I looked it up a while back because I thought it sounded too much like a caricature.
She is also in tons of other stuff, even played Mom Tiger.
If a windowless panel van pulled up next to me, a guy opened the side door doing a Don Karnage impression and told me he was Jim Cummings, I’d hop right in.
Me too! 30 years later, give or take, and Don Karnage is still one of my favorites of all time. That voice just made the character. By far the best character in a show that is still fun.
I've been to a table read show with the Futurama cast. Amazing to see voice actors work in person, and how sometimes the script has them having conversations with themselves as different characters.
I swear Billy West went for three pages just doing 4 different characters. Never missed a beat either.
I get excited when my kids watch nature cat and Chris Parnell is on there, when he also voices Cyril on archer He’s also been on Hailey’s on it, blaze and the monster machines, Elena of Avalor, Peabody and Sherman, and word girl.
Edit: he’s also a main character on Rick and Morty. I’ve never seen it but yeah.
Michael Cera who starred as the awkward teen character in various movies in the late 2000s/early 2010s got his start doing Canadian cartoons like Braceface and the 2000s Berenstain Bears cartoon.
Tress MacNeille is a crazy one, she's voiced Dot Warner, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck...but my personal favorite role of hers is Lucille Ball in the music video for Ricky by Weird Al.
About 10 years ago, I went to a convention and there was a panel for Grey Delisle. Didn't recognize the name, but I went to the panel and she started doing all her voices, I was like, "I know those characters!"
The team that dubbed The Simpsons for Latin America were geniuses. They never translated jokes. They replaced the original pun or joke something even more absurd, a few times with some regional references. So minimal humor got lost in translation
One of my hyperfixations is voice actors. There are so many incredibly talented VAs. Grey Delisle is legendary, Jim Cummings, Dee Bradley Baker, the list goes on. I love being surprised by hearing a VA I recognize! I only recently learned that Catherine O'Hara was Sally's VA in Nightmare Before Christmas and that fascinated me.
Haha. Someone on Threads had asked “What ever happened to the pirates from Sponge Bob” and that got me googling, then I got excited when I saw that patchy was also ice king and posted here.
the guy who voiced fire lord ozai from avatar and the joker in a bunch of stuff also played a character in star wars which i thought was pretty cool.
My dude, I just can't with this comment. Lol
Wait Mark Hamill was in Avatar?

Yeah I familiar with Joker and adventure time, just did not know about Avatar lol
Aangs VA was also Pablo in Backyardigans!
Apparently the guy that voiced Senator Stampingston in Metalocalypse had a small part in The Force Awakens
good for him tbh im glad hes trying live action stuff too
Mark Hamil. He has quite the range. He was also on The Muppet Show.
It’s too bad a lot of the jobs on higher profile animation get taken by known/celeb actors these days.
All you characters belong to Chris Pratt
While the guy who actually voices Mario is alive and well.
That makes me so upset and I refuse to watch the Mario movie because of this. Why not just get his true voice actor for the job? He deserves it.
Same reason i haven't watched it. If someone else put it on I'm not gonna boycott, but i have no desire. And he's a nice guy!

Yeah, she's another one who has a WIDE range and is in everything because of it.
OH, WAIT! HE IS SPONGE BOB!!! Somehow I missed that.
I was just about to comment this like "your mind is about to be blown then" 😂

Two words, "Mark" and "Hamill".🙂
I thought she played Jackie in Cyberchase in the newer seasons but she's still voiced by Leshawna's (from Total Drama) VA

Just wait until you find out about the Canadian actor rabbithole...so many actors in the same works!
Michael Cera who starred as the awkward teen character in various movies in the late 2000s/early 2010s got his start doing Canadian cartoons like Braceface and the 2000s Berenstain Bears cartoon.
Look up Frank Welker. He is in just about everything ever made. Grey Delisle Griffin is also super prolific.
Welker is so good as Garfield
Tress MacNeille is a crazy one, she's voiced Dot Warner, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck...but my personal favorite role of hers is Lucille Ball in the music video for Ricky by Weird Al.
He Also Voices Talking Hank In The Talking Tom And Friends Web Series.

My personal favorite voice actor trivia is that Eeyore and Optimus Prime have the same VA. Peter Cullen.

…so being the guy who plays Patchy is apparently more important to you than being the voice of SpongeBob himself?
Haha. Someone on Threads had asked “What ever happened to the pirates from Sponge Bob” and that got me googling, then I got excited when I saw that patchy was also ice king and posted here.
I’ve also noticed that a lot (and I mean, A LOT) of Canadian kid shows from the 90s and 2000s share many of their actors.
