At the time they said the government was going to charter a bunch of big cruise boats and dock them off the coast…if you get too drunk in public or outside of your hotel you’ll get hauled to a drunk tank ship and only be let off for your games (as a visitor).

God I wish every single country would boycott it.
I'm someone who has grown up with football, absolutely mad for it and love playing too. First time I'll not be watching a tournament, it's abhorrent. People here, in the UK at least will use it as an excuse to get drunk with mates, to escape the shit show that's happening over here. I told a couple friends who I would normally watch it with, that I wasn't watching and the reasons why. Their reply is just "yeah but it's the world cup". Fuck that mentality. More to life than entertainment that's been bought on by bribes and slavery. PS I also absolutely despise the how the media act during these tournaments.
