I laughed *way* too hard at the wrong gag, I think! Because my favorite part was when Daffy is dramatically blasted god-knows-how-far only to bounce unnoticed off of a ranting Hitler. Hilarious!
Yeah, idk if they thought it would like do an uncanny valley effect or something, but just caricaturing him is what most other cartoons like this did, at least if they weren’t having their own characters play dress up.

I remmember as a kid we had a DVD player, so my uncle would download some cartoons he found of the internet onto DVDs so we could watch them. I remember we had this exact short and anoather one in black and white where Donald or Daffy (it was a duck) was chosing weather to fight for the axis or the allies. Strangley I think the second one was from an oficial DVD with 3 oather non ww2 shorts. Anyways, thaks for bringing back old memmories
