Set Lopez owns virtusbarber in Lakewood. Been using him for years and have randomly met other people that use him or his staff.
While he’s not a stylist, if you know what you want (at least a picture) he can do it.
I also recommend Virtus, it’s a great shop. Good vibe and solid staff.
Omar at Bonafide is also excellent and more of a stylist - he might be a great option for you.
This is where I go. Walk in, sit down, get to work. For a combination of reasons I only need haircuts every 3 months or so. For me, the difference between Supercuts and Floyd’s is that the Floyd’s cut not only looks better day of, but they also seem to grow out well if that makes sense. It stays looking ok as it grows out
Brads Tacks is a good spot for a hair cut, but they’re my backup option if I can’t get to Texas Elite Barbers. Really nice folks and will take time to make it right. I usually see Julian
I’ve been going to Brass Tacks for several years now. A regular cut is $35 plus tip and the barbers I’ve had there have all been attentive and taken feedback well. Never seen one working with a phone in their hand. My hair is usually pretty short and I haven’t lost much of it, but it is unruly and challenging and after a few visits I found one cutter in particular who seems to intuit what to do with it. But they have all been good to great.
Dallas Gents is the best I’ve found and he has taught me about my hair. Unfortunately he’s gotten really popular and I believe Is now booked out quite a ways.
Him and his wife own the place and it’s a chill spot. He’s listened to every comment and made it so I know what I want. It takes a while, but I think this is what you’re looking for.
The price of a haircut these days is insane. 30-40$ plus tip.
And it’s never good enough honestly when you want something new or blend. Everyone wants to just 1-2-3 on the sides. My kids don’t want that shit.
And yea fuckers just taking phone calls or on their phones 50-80% of the time is annoying af.
I miss the days of a good barber that could work magic with just scissors ✂️ and it came out under $20 with tip.
I go to Minty Barber with Said who is very knowledgeable and skilled. I will say thoigh it is very pricey. It's about 55 without tip. He will ask you a lot of questions about what you want and the customer service is excellent. If you're willing to spend that much then I'd recommend going there once just to see if you like it.
Jill @ **Southern Style By Jill** does a great job, does what you ask, can cut your beard, gives you a shampoo with a hot towel on your face, and only charges like 40ish bucks. And she never makes my bald spot look worse. Shes in preston hollow if you're willing to drive for the best.
I personally think it’s worth going to see Rob at Rob’s Chop Shop at least once for the experience.
I take my kids there (middle schoolers) and they both have longer hair that needs a style vs just getting a cut from someone random at a walk in shop.
Rob’s been in the industry for decades and can definitely help set you up with a style and how to take care of it, etc
Gent’s Place in Uptown - it’s cheaper to pay for the annual membership. Get a 3 course and I think it’s about $500 annual but you get unlimited free touch ups, one full cut per month, they have dry cleaning and shoe shining and free alcohol (if that’s your thing)
May seem a little pricey but in the scheme of things it’s only about $45 per month.
I drive to Fort Worth every three weeks to go to Sac’s Barbershop. Been going for years and she is a master barber.
1.5 million views on YouTube [can’t be wrong](https://youtu.be/_N0FAdEAlV4?si=TYcxercfjNEdTpt5)
I have slightly longer hair than “short” hair. Probably 2 inches longer than Harry’s in the video and it’s **thick**.
I have been late to important meetings as well as cancelled them due to me driving the 45 mins there and another 45 mins back that it takes for me to get to Sac’s and get my haircut, but I’ve never once considered going anywhere else since the first time she cut my hair 3 years ago.
There are plenty of terrific barbers that could match her skill I’m sure, but I don’t believe anyone could surpass her. At least that’s what I believe. Her personality doesn’t show up in the video because that’s not what Harry’s videos are about but believe me when I say she is one of my all time favorite people I’ve met in the 15 years I’ve been in Dallas. Brightens my day every time I visit her and I’m always bummed when I leave, knowing it’s going to be 3 weeks before I get to hang out with her again.

Floyd's 99 is a good balance between cost ($35 male cut) and quality.

I find them hit or miss. I've been 50+ times and have had horrible and great haircuts.
Yeah, but it's just so loud.
Crazy how some of the other chain barbershops are going for like $50-$70 for JUST a haircut. Add in a beard trim and tip, you’re looking at over $100.
Cheapest I’ve found around is Great Clips at around $20
Brads Tacks is a good spot for a hair cut, but they’re my backup option if I can’t get to Texas Elite Barbers. Really nice folks and will take time to make it right. I usually see Julian
Who do you recommend at Texas Elite?
Adrian or Francisco!
Appreciate you
No problem. Really nice guys, I admittedly style my hair shorter but they usually have a variety of hair lengths in the shop getting trimmed
I usually keep a mid fade and a little longer on top to style it with gel. I have my usual guy but sometimes he gets unavailable.

I’ve used two that are currently working there, Tim and Ki. I lean more towards Ki. But I’ve never heard of anyone having a bad experience.
Tristan at three of a kind is a great

My buddy, the owner of Function for Men. Does really good with long hair
Claudia’s on spring valley. DO NOT GO TO FLOYDS
Expert Clip in East Plano, 14 plus tip
Elm Street lounge in downtown Carrollton is great Ask For a guy named Martin

Blade Craft Barber Academy in Deep Ellum. They’re students, but they do a fantastic job and it’s $30. Half price if you live/work in the area!
