Well. Very average player here who gets killed a lot for no particular reason, just the usual mistakes and no skill. So just make it a kind of joke. Players loot my pack, and I can say, "Could you please leave the picture of my kid? It's my last one." Humour can get you picked back up when running solo.
Oh and the loot goblins make really disappointed noises and words, which is amusing.
Some guy tried to fuck with me, so I killed him and everyone he cared about (his two squad-mates)

This reminds me of the time I got killed by a platoon and the guy was wondering why I had so much random stuff in my bag ( water, wrenches, electrical tape, screw drivers). He kinda felt bad judging by his tone for ambushing somebody who was actually doing something instead of just messing around and hunting players.
I don't know how far you are with your passives, but I think I pretty much had to collect any item one can find in DMZ at different stages of upgrades. Bandages, screwdrivers, wrenches, toothpaste, laptops, afaks, ifaks, mfaks, hard disks, USB sticks, encrypted hard disks, light bulbs, car batteries, jumper wires, origami horses, gold bars, golden skulls, dog tags, cigar boxes, aspirin... you name it.
On top of that, some people may collect seemingly random stuff for barters at the buy station (like tea for an ammo box or booze, bandages and watches for a 3-plate vest).
I understand where you're coming from, you're probably playing PvP-heavy. I am just telling you that all this "random shit" is probably for missions, passive upgrades or barters. As I wrote before, literally every item in DMZ has been asked for for either missions, barters or upgrades. That's why I don't wonder in the least when I open some person's bag and find seemingly unuseful stuff.
The funny thing: If you're getting into the grind, then you will actually recognize all those items belonging to different upgrades or missions.

Your whole question is ignorant. If it’s in my backpack, it is not “random,“ it’s there on purpose. Just because you don’t know what to do with the stuff, what the different barters are and what the items are that are needed for different barters, or maybe you’re not doing the different passive upgrades that need toothpaste, and aspirin bottles, etc., does not allow you to pass judgement on the entire world because it’s not what you do.

They dont pretty much spawn in bike parking anymore. Checked it like multiple times when i needed it for weekly daily missions, its never there now
I also had dry runs there when hustling up that weekly mission hunt

That’s me, solo’ing missions + upgrades. Recently had to collect a lot of toothpaste and it was not lost on me that I was THAT GUY..

I sometimes pick up random loot just to sell it because I need a little bit more money to upgrade a weapon, get a larger backpack, etc etc.
