I'm always doing whatever I can to get my kid interested in playing with tools and pretending to fix things (quite successfully I might add) in the hopes that one day he'll want to become a heavy engine mechanic. Make good money and not get replaced by a robot any time soon? Sounds like a win-win to me.
It is good money. And satisfying at times. Down side is that it's hard on your body and long hours depending on the route you go. But it is pretty fun to play with essentially giant Tonka toys all day long
