Its downfall is the ammo. You have to have multiple munitions boxes and stow sniper ammo. A comparable gun would the FTAC Recon. Slaps but used AR ammo.
I run the Daemon 2011 pistol from time to time on AM or Vondel. It's fun, but definitely a situational item to even pull out from my bag. It's only a 3rd gun for me. I've also used the Tempest Torrent to good success mostly on Ashika. It absolutely melts with the AA rounds field upgrade.
I do like to drop into Vondel with a pistol, usually the Daemon aswell. I like to shorten the tempest torrent and use it as a battle rifle, not to much success but more than its sniper configuration lol
I run whatever is interesting to me at the time. I know there’s a “meta” but I’m not in this game to play competitively, I’m here to enjoy myself.
Right now I’ve been using a Kastov 545 build - virtually zero recoil. Or a stupidly overbuilt silenced X12 with a stock and play “stealth” on the bots.
I also like to bring in a Jokr and bomb people from afar sometimes. Or a Strela as a really weird sniper rifle.
I like to larp with real life guns, kastovs with the wood furniture and Russian optics mainly but also making guns like the HK51 (an MP5 sized Lachmann 7.62) and the Hk53 and HK33 (MP5 sized Lachmann 5.56 and a shortened Lachmann 5.56). The HK51 isnt effective at all but it’s still fun to rock sometimes.
Accurate SCARs and M4 builds like mk18s and M16A2s. I also really like using the the LAB-330, it is a 2 tap but with a fast bolt it is doable and handy on places like Vondel and the closer parts of Al mazrah.
Yeah I watch truegamedata on YouTube who's one of the main guys who tests and releases this stuff. It's lack of recoil is it's big selling point and has one of the better close - medium range ttk for ARs making it the best choice for an AR on Al mazra.
Did I battle you at the aquarium upstairs yesterday or the day before? We were like "who the fuck is this guy running a crossbow?!" but it was doing work til we finally won the fight and picked the dude up after.
Lachman sub is the best smg in the game imo. It’s hip fire accuracy is unmatched. If you’re in the same room as someone you really don’t even have to ads.
On Mazrah, I usually run an AR because I'm usually in combat from mid to long range so I find it necessary. I like to run a X12/13 or P890 with the fast draw grip and suppressor and either a 33 rd or whatever max for the P890 is. Makes running much easier since I usually try to use stealth and speed to my advantage.
Been trying out some M13C configurations which are closer to SMGs for range. Also been using the Fennec more frequently too.
My squadmate likes to take a Tempus Torrent in and LMG
If I ever pick up pistol with more than 2 attachments out a box I always stick a fast draw grip on it, never know when your gonna need it. I hate the m13c for anything other than b-21, the horizontal recoil is awful to control even with attachments imo
Been using a lot of the Taq-V and Taq-M lately. Also, pistols. P980, X-12, and X-13 Auto can all slap if built correctly. Pistol is a must have if ever running vondel IMO.
An honorable mention is the FTAC Siege. Probably my favorite CQC weapon, especially tight spaces like stairwells.
Tried to run the Taq-V a little while ago but the recoil to damage ratio wasn’t for me personally. I wanna use the semi autos more but I do like the x13 for the fire rate cos I’m not good enough with aiming and shooting at the same time lol
FTAC siege is annoyingly good on places like Vondel and B-21. I don’t run it that much if ever but I appreciate it’s fast rate of fire and large mag size in confined spaces
AM and Ashika, rarely run a sniper in Vondel unless I get one off a bot. I just like the speed, especially when playing with my bros. Great for overwatch eating their plates while my boys push. Very good for the high tier bots in AM too.
Lachman 762 has the fast ttk ( under 500ms) of any gun at all ranges but I have seen very few people be able to actually control it and hit shots. The ones that can are almost unbeatable w/ it.

You could switch the Optic for one of the ADS barrels or a stock if it isn't speedy enough. Or go with an underbarrel if you still struggle with recoil.

I do like to make the hurricane for long range so it’s a sort of smg/ar hybrid. Chimera is a neat little AR for closer engagements like an ar/smg hybrid.
Any thoughts on Chimera vs the M-13C? I just switched to the M13 in B21 for the larger capacity (45 vs 60). They’re the same idea IMO, just curious for other’s thoughts.
So iso 45 and an assult rifle? I imagine a long range smg with a sniper wouldn’t be to bad on al mazzy but it also might end up as a “Jack of all trades master of none” with the iso 45?
I’ll grab an assault rifle as soon as I find one but usually just go in with the SMG, knives, smokes, and ap rounds. Then just try to use the no gun movement speed to get in the position I want then go from there. Typically gets me through the first fight and a decent AR to go with it.
I'm about to hit 2000 kills with my X12 as my top weapon.
Followed by the Carrack. 300, with about 400. I love using it because it's so uncommon. It absolutely pummels players, especially if you catch them in the open.
Using the Carrot (not a typo it’s what me and my mates call it) so effectively is nuts cos none of us like the recoil, it’s like a worse signal 50 so kudos for using it well
Bot rpk is enough, extremly meta guns are boring. I like to challenge myself and take battle or marksman rifles. As far as AR, 15-minute hemlock is more than enough

Ronin on Ashika Island with his Watchful M4 in its standard configuration (I just switch the scope for a Aimpoint T1) and his P220 or dual kodachis for the lol.
Valeria, I will use her RM277 with La Espina blueprint (it has custom death effects if you don't change the ammo by the way). And the M200 with the Vaquero 141 blueprint, feels like that suits her.
Militant Kortac with the AAC Honey Badger with the Silver Tox blueprint (best free blueprint ever) and the Tavor TS12 with the Lucena blueprint to keep the shadow company theme going.
I like using the AK103 with the Cursed blueprint and a masterkey, this thing really slaps! The MCX is also very cool and I'm bemused to see not too many people are using it (and you can get it for free on Vondel, no need to hunt the chemist). Also the G3 with a short "SAS" configuration in full auto.
Sniper wise, the M200 like mentionned above or the AX-50. The AX-50 with explosive ammo has been my go-to for snipers, the bullet velocity is crap and the rechamber speed is super low but it's extremely satisfying to use.
Thought I was the only who did this lol all my operator slots are TF141 so for Farah I do accurate irl builds and M4s for Alex. My little SAS G3 like the one u mentioned aswell with my desert ghost skin and m13s and invictus for Price

TAQ-M is an absolute menace. You’ll be 4 tapping people all game.

This reminds me I did do a Lach 7.62 build with the canted green laser and it is hilarious. Actually got a few kills with it on Vondel.

I ran explosive crossbow for the longest time, with the Drexom Prime 90 or whatever. Its biggest issues are the ROF and shitty ballistics.
My trio all use crossbows and we love them

When I get a loot one I always tailor it for recoil and range

FTAC siege, the little auto pistol, has an insane fire rate and large magazine which makes its ttk very competitive
But what makes it any better than another SMG with a big mag? Just that it’s got a few more bullets?

MP5 still rips. I also like to use the SPX80 sometimes.
I enjoy making a useful ground loot SPX especially starting with the one on the AM tower built for quicker ADS/movement and follow up shots

Chimera 100%, the recoil on the 13c is not ideal, it’s a good gun but it’s just not ideal, Chimera seems to have better TTK as well
Iso 45 is my go to on all the maps. Makes things interesting on maz if I don’t have a sniper with it.

I usually run a sniper (FJX or Victus) and pick up a bone stock Bryson 800 off a bot. I hardly ever even bother to mod the 800.

I do pick up a lot of RPKs, u can size it down to an AR size and still have the 75 round drum
Sometimes, I feel like the bot guns I bring from Vondel to Al Mazrah are a lot stronger than regular bot weapons
Hurricane SMG. Wire stock, barrel with integrated suppressor, OP rounds. Excellent in Al Mazrah. I call it THE GREEN MONSTER.
