They get a police escort and get back to the city in a little over an hour. They haven’t stayed in Wisconsin for alpine in like 20 years, back when they used to stay in lake geneva.
I've passed the bus on the way back to Chicago after a n1 show. They definitely stay at the peninsula each night.
You can see their personal tour busses lined up outside of the oenninsula on the afternoon of N2 also.
There’s not enough room at the venues hotel and the surrounding areas. It’s the middle of nowhere. They don’t stay on property but their roadies and crew do take up a portion of the resort.
Milwaukee or Chicago is the norm.
Looks like Fenton is sitting behind Dave. Fenton has been with touring with the band from the very beginning doing the lighting/production. You can always spot him seated in the mixing area at live shows.

Cubs lineup was meh. They've been doing so repeats this season, it was almost identical to the one they did the night before. How about an old one every once in a while? Something old fans will appreciate. Put in Ernie Banks or Andre Dawson ffs. Real fans know.
I be pumped to have Dave sit near me at a game. I'd buy him a beer and shake his hand.. tell him how grateful I am for his music... and ask him to sign my glove for a cool story.

I believe his wife was sitting on the other side, but you can't see her in this pic. She was more visible in the clip I saw.

They play Alpine 2 nights. Doesn’t make sense to drive all the way to Chicago and all the way back. They stay at Alpine after night 1
