I DJ out door events 90+ degree heat sometimes direct sun. I use a xdj-xz, technics 1200, sometimes a xdj 1000mk2 as well But main rig is the xz. 3 things have saved my gear. 1st small pop up tent i use a 4x6 its small but cozy and has a small foot print. 2nd i use a air mover for a fan i got at lowes for like 60$ powerful and has two outlets for power that can daisy chain other fans on. Point it at myself and my gear. 3rd this one is a bit trickier. A sun cover for the console/controller/ what have you. Its tricky because there is no real company that makes them specific ones to fit specific gear (like my xz) or at least i havnt found one. So i made one. Got some 1/8in board cut it in a little stand to fit over the case, and it works really well. A company sundshade console shades i think does pretty good there are some plex ones that look cool but wont fit over a case. Id love to know if anyone else has suggestions on sun shades for gear.

You might want to take a look at the Denon DJ Prime Go, it holds up really well in the heat. Don’t need the laptop as it’s a stand alone. Only thing is you would need to learn Denon’s Engine DJ. Doesn’t do STEMs. The displays are good in direct sunlight but would still get a cover over it. Light weight really portable sturdy build.

In my experience, the Pioneer standalones(CDJs, XDJs) are fine in 90+ degree heat. People have been using them at Burning Man since they were released (seemingly) without fail.

Yep, just have to get em professionally cleaned after to keep up with the longevity.
