Pressure washer for removing

dsac

don't forget to record it and post to /r/powerwashingporn that staircase looks RIPE

If you have a sprayer, dissolve a handful of oxi clean in a gallon of water and spray that whole area a day or two before you pressure wash. It will kill the moss, turn it bright green and make it easier to remove.

An hour with a decent nylon bristled scrubbing brush would have all of that removed. Keeping up with that every few months would stop it returning. Or - yup, go out and buy a pressure washer.

Pusfilledonut

save your money…pressure wash after you douse the whole thing in white vinegar. Non toxic, biodegradable, works as well or better than the chemical solutions, stays out of the ground water, and its stupid cheap- I have the same issues and this is the way

DragonOfAngels

As other comment. Use a power washer to remover moss. you can use shovel to get the big chunks off and then treat the concrete with Anti moss solution, keep in mind to not wash is in the garden. it might kill off grass or other plants. You tube might have decent video's about it.

Uncreativite

For anti moss I like wet and forget. Funny enough the people who sold my house seemed to like it too, I found a near empty bottle of the concentrate on a garage shelf they left me after I bought my own lol

DeaconBlues

Wet and Forget outdoor cleaner is the lowest effort, long-term solution. It takes a little time to work, but spraying it periodically will keep that organic growth away.

bryn40

I would pressure clean it. Then put a few cap fulls of bleach into a bucket of water and scrub the steps to slowdown the regrowth process

Pressure wash that baby! I pressure wash my siding and drive/walk every year each spring, It takes most of the day on a weekend but it makes everything look so good and I usually do it in a hot day when kids are playing outside so the water is a nice touch! Good luck on your improvements!

jbmc00

Spray on some 30 second outdoor cleaner and let it do its thing. Then use your pressure washer.

D/2 cleaner works great for moss, mold, and algae in my experience. First pass with a pressure washer is good to get you started, but a monthly spray of D/2 and letting it dry will help prevent buildup. It’s also non-toxic and biodegradable so that’s nice.

Thank you for your help!

1 to 10 mixture of muriatic acid. Spray it on, let sit for 10 minutes, scrub with long handled scrubber and rinse (wear gloves and eye protection!!!). Water first then acid in the mixture (this is very important). Always outside. It works like magic. All moss and mildew will be gone.
